Carlos was a blessing to my project…read more -He was friendly, prompt and on time with reminders of any kind when it came to coming to my home and providing me with an estimate. Other companies and contractors flaked or tried to provide me with general estimates via texts. Not Carlos. -His estimate was clearly outlined and there was no pressure to do things a certain way. Because I was working with a budget and fluctuating ideas on baseboard and the type of floor I would select. Carlos made it easy to view and choose because everything was listed and itemized. He also was always available to me to answer questions or clarify items for me. -He didn't flinch when I asked about a seamless install and he never made me feel bad for asking questions or referring to my budget. He was always kind, understanding, and professional. -When other factors that had nothing to do with him came up, he offered to help me with referrals to other trades like plumbers, etc. -When it came time for the install, his team was prompt, thorough, and very efficient. OF ALL THE TRADES HIS TEAM WAS THE ONLY ONE TO LEAVE MY HOME BETTER THAN THEY FOUND IT. Sorry to scream on that one but it was that much of a stand out. His guys took care of everything needed to do the job and then cleaned my home and the space they were working on outside without me asking, following up, or needing to do it myself. -Finally. When it came to billing everything was simplified there too. I was able to pay by phone or online with a link. Easy breezy and MY FLOORS LOOK AMAZING. I have already referred Carlos and Wood Floor Installers Inc. He was a true blessing to me on my project.

As a local Realtor, I'm often asked for recommendations for contractors, gardeners, pool cleaners,…read morehandymen, and especially kitchen remodelers. I'm happy to say I now have a go-to team I can recommend without hesitation! We hired Old World Custom Finishing for our own kitchen remodel, including cabinet refacing, new quartz countertops, and a backsplash. Fred and Gabi were terrific from start to finish. They patiently walked us through our options (we were pretty clueless!), kept us informed throughout the process, showed up when they said they would, and worked tirelessly to make sure every detail was perfect. The results? We absolutely love our new oak cabinet fronts and quartz counters and backsplash! If you're considering a kitchen update, I highly recommend Old World Custom Finishing. Great people, great communication, and great work.

Fred and Gabby were extremely patient and communicative, offering different solutions and options. Once we settled on the design, they did a great job of communicating expectations, timeline, and also suggesting changes to improve aesthetic and functionality. Fast forward two years later, I wanted to remodel my office with a built in desk, cabinets, and shelving and contracted again with Old World. I had very specific requests with this project and Fred and Gabby were able to deliver again! They worked quickly, cleanly, and were open to minor changes that I raised during the project. I spend a lot of time at my desk and definitely feel my office has leveled up. My work environment is now sturdy, functional, stylish, and comfortable. There are a lot of options here in the desert but I would highly recommend Old World many times over.

Our most recent projects include new kitchen cabinet doors and installation of drawers on the bottom cabinets. We had them remove a dated entertainment center and install sleek modern cabinets and shelving. They also installed tambour wood on the wall behind what will be the place for the tv. A huge difference for our family room. And they found 6" behind the original cabinets, so now our room looks larger. They've also built a new larger kitchen island, shelving unit in our casita and done work on other properties for us. They show up when they say they will, and clean up daily. The prices are very fair.

He was able to fit us in last minute, which we truly appreciated. After evaluating everything, he gave us a very honest assessment. He explained that while the results he could achieve would likely be very good, the natural characteristics and quality of our specific limestone meant that--even at its best--it still wouldn't match the look we were hoping for. That level of transparency is rare and really speaks to his integrity. Even though we didn't end up using his services, he was incredibly kind and generous with his time. He shared helpful tips not only about maintaining our stone, but even offered advice on preventing damage to our driveway, which was above and beyond. It's clear he genuinely cares about doing what's right for his clients, not just making a sale. Because of that, we would absolutely consider using him in the future--especially for epoxy garage floors when the time comes. Very appreciative of his honesty and professionalism. Highly recommend reaching out to him if you need expert advice on stone care and restoration.
