FIND. HUMMUS HEAVEN…read more Okay wait, I'm toootalllyy getting ahead of myself, let me start over. So I stopped over at my friend's place a couple of days ago and she let me try the most AMAZING homemade hummus and I was ridiculously surprised when I heard that she got it from the Stockton Farmers' Market. I had gone to the one at the Stonecreek Village on the weekend and was EXTREMELY disappointed. But that's a completely different story. So I decided to check out the one at the Weberstown mall, hoping that it would be different. And boyyyy was it! And thank GOD it was! It's located right behind in the back parking lot of the Weberstown mall and the parking is super easy to get as it's right next to the huge cluster of tents in the UEI college parking lot. From ice cream to baked goods to olive oil and philly cheesesteaks and hotdogs, they have EVERYTHING here! I found Hummus Heaven almost instantly! There was some dude playing the fiddle passionately while singing right in front of his booth (really strange in my opinion). He had a huge variety of homemade hummus types from lemon, beet, to artichoke. Anyway, I want to go on and on about Hummus Heaven on here, but if you're still curious I've written a separate review for his yelp page. My favorite is their variety of delicious fruits. I went to the tent where it was $1.50/lb for a mix of fruits including white peaches, nectarines, apricots, plums, etc. They were all sooooo ridiculously sweet and cheap at the same time! I paid $3.75 for 6 different fruits! And they give you a bunch of samples if you'd like. The people who work here are super friendly too. I'm really sad I didn't discover this place earlier because it's so awesome! They're here over the summer months from 8 am to 1 pm and it's not too crowded. Come get your veggies, fruits, ice cream, olive oil, whatever you want here! They have practically everything and it's great!

After moving to Texas, I find that I truly miss the farmers' markets in California. Nothing like…read morefresh produce from farms merely 10-20 miles away! Seriously, summer farmers' markets are absolutely pnenomenal. Peaches, white peaches, plums, nectarines, white nectarines, blueberries, strawberries, cherries, oranges. Texas just doesn't do it like California. My method of finding the best white peaches is to walk around to every booth and try every sample. This is very important. The booth with the best peaches one day may not be the best the next day. VERY VERY IMPORTANT! Most days, their stone fruits will be mix n' match, $1.50/lb. You can't beat that. Hummus Heaven is a must. The guy who mans the booth hands you samples faster than you can put it in your mouth! I like the spicy black bean, cilantro avocado, and garlic. But honestly, everything is delicious. And if you're a hummus fiend, go buy yourself more than 3 tubs, because those delicious containers will not last long! Their lemon salted pita chips are also yummy! Farmers' market is cheaper and better tasting than Safeway and S-Mart. There's no excuse for not coming here! Plus, it's fun :)

I went to A1 Ag because they have somehow made it to the top of every search for Organic Produce in…read morethe Lathrop/Tracy. Unfortunately, my experience couldn't pull in more than 1 star for me personally, as I was looking for organic :( First impression and good points is that they have a larger variety than a simple produce stand and they are located very close to exit off the freeway. Staff was less than welcoming, with 4 gentlemen sitting by the register at the entrance who seemed disinterested in their customers and annoyed (older man) when asked a question. I walked the whole store and couldn't find any organic produce. I asked a man stocking the produce if they carry organic and he shrugged and pointed me to ask the man at the front. (Hard pass since I knew how that would go and I didn't see any). I wasn't interested enough to look at pricing, so I am not helpful there, sorry. I left the market and saw that they have a fairly large garden space where they grow their fruit and veggies. Which would be great, but they are literally 100ft down a slight embankment from the I5 Freeway, so I imagine they are exposed to lots of emissions, etc. I added a screenshot of their location for perspective. I wouldn't recommend A1Ag for organic or even as a first choice despite their current rating, but I imagine there are a lot of folks who may love it.

This is a mixed emotions type of review that I have around this particular location. I have…read morerecently been here twice within the last two months. As I enjoy visiting different types of farmers stands and markets during the summer. My opinion of here, is that this is a location that you can stock up on food items in large quantity of what's in season at a really low cost given the fact that you would need to eat a lot of the items within the same few days of you purchasing them. There are a few items that may last a little bit beyond that timeframe. But I can't say that the small handful of produce that we chose that I was pretty satisfied with were the flats of white eggs that were for five dollars for 24 a flat, and the mini sized watermelon that were for $.50 each as we picked up four of them you will also find some good sized garlic and other items in the refrigerated area like cilantro, parsley, and mint. The inside of the establishment is mediocre in cleanliness but pretty clean around majority of the food areas you are able to also venture outside of the establishment where they have a lot of the starter fruit tree plants that you can purchase in buckets and the establishment growing some of their produce along the side at this location. They do have a parking lot, which may hold about seven cars or you can park on the outside of the establishment alongside their fenced area. Where you will see some fruit trees that have been growing there. As you start to walk into the establishment, you will see two massive size posters advertising what they have on sale for that current day or throughout that weekend. They also have a small standup freezer that holds some of the meat items that they sell here as well. Overall, you can find a lot of produce that will get you through a week or two again depending on what you're picking what you're looking for and how long that produce will last. This establishment accepts cash card and EBT. And they are open seven days a week which I think is also great 7 AM until 7 PM. It says the establishment is for sale so I'm not sure if they are moving towards new ownership in the near future but again you can find some great deals here. Be sure to bring your grocery bags of choice!
