If something is $2 a lb, and it comes out to $2.14, they'll just round it to $2.00 even if it loses them 14 cents. Majority of things sold here are organic, but even those that aren't are held to California's extremely strict agricultural standards. I was so happy when they started staying open yesterday round. Sure in the winter rainy season there are less vendors, but many still show up every Sunday and Thursday. The fruit here lasts longer than that bought in the stores. I'll buy strawberries at target and the next day, there'll be mold on them. At this farmers market, I'll buy strawberries and they'll last until the farmers market on the next Sunday. Seriously, the fruit is so big and juicy. The fish is so fresh. The vegetables have that perfect crunch. Even if I don't need anything, I'm always stop to get a bundle of fresh cilantro. It helps make any meal better. It's a really nice open air market.

FIND. HUMMUS HEAVEN…read more Okay wait, I'm toootalllyy getting ahead of myself, let me start over. So I stopped over at my friend's place a couple of days ago and she let me try the most AMAZING homemade hummus and I was ridiculously surprised when I heard that she got it from the Stockton Farmers' Market. I had gone to the one at the Stonecreek Village on the weekend and was EXTREMELY disappointed. But that's a completely different story. So I decided to check out the one at the Weberstown mall, hoping that it would be different. And boyyyy was it! And thank GOD it was! It's located right behind in the back parking lot of the Weberstown mall and the parking is super easy to get as it's right next to the huge cluster of tents in the UEI college parking lot. From ice cream to baked goods to olive oil and philly cheesesteaks and hotdogs, they have EVERYTHING here! I found Hummus Heaven almost instantly! There was some dude playing the fiddle passionately while singing right in front of his booth (really strange in my opinion). He had a huge variety of homemade hummus types from lemon, beet, to artichoke. Anyway, I want to go on and on about Hummus Heaven on here, but if you're still curious I've written a separate review for his yelp page. My favorite is their variety of delicious fruits. I went to the tent where it was $1.50/lb for a mix of fruits including white peaches, nectarines, apricots, plums, etc. They were all sooooo ridiculously sweet and cheap at the same time! I paid $3.75 for 6 different fruits! And they give you a bunch of samples if you'd like. The people who work here are super friendly too. I'm really sad I didn't discover this place earlier because it's so awesome! They're here over the summer months from 8 am to 1 pm and it's not too crowded. Come get your veggies, fruits, ice cream, olive oil, whatever you want here! They have practically everything and it's great!

I love this place. It's happens every Saturday under the cross town freeway downtown Stockton and…read moreis one of my favorite farmers markets. Like any good farmers market, it depends greatly on the season but that it occurs year round gives me a lot of comfort. In its peak season (late spring through summer) you'll find it thriving from a variety of standard farmers market wares (peaches, citrus fruits, standard herbs and leafy greens) to less standard but no less exciting offerings like Thai basil, okra leaves, egg plant, rice noodles, farmers eggs, and a pretty extensive fresh and frozen seafood section. There's usually a bakery selling different buns filled with different meat options or even fruit options. One of the biggest draw of farmers market for me, of how affordable fresh fruits and veggies can be had. Last weekend my wife and I picked two large grocery bags, chalk full of veggies (squash, egg plant, bell peppers), Thai basil, honeydew, & fresh rice noodles and spent 10 bucks exactly. Another great upside to this farmers market is that it takes places under the cover of the freeway, which means you'll stay dry in the winter and benefit from shade during the hotter months.

Friendly vendors. And lots of ppl to talk to. Downside- was so bummed they didnt seam to have much nuts and fruit, not sure if it's because we got there late? Or they're just out of season? Overall- it seemed to be best pick of the day you go bright and early at 6 a.m. However if you're trying to get the best bang for your buck scouting out the stands before closing around 8:45 is the best way to get cheap produce fast however, it's not going to be the best pick out of it all, its just what's leftover. Plus side to that though is if you're a juicer like me doesn't really matter heehee!

BUT they don't have a grocery store and only one outrageously priced gas station. It is one thing that gas prices are up.... but the Chevron out there had diesel at $5.19 a gallon. From my neighborhood, I live relatively close to the Farmers Market at Dillards, my favorite strawberry farmers on Don and Hammer.... and Downtown is just a few exits away... okay... maybe 8 or 9. The market itself is just starting at this location... was kind of small, but had some of the regular booths that you would see at the other Markets. Apricots, tomatoes, onions, garlic, cherries, M & W bakery, 2 other bakeries, dog treats, fresh flowers, olive oil, nuts.... pretty much the usual. Don't drive by and think that there isn't much to offer. You will be surprised. Bring your dog.... I did!

I am not a Stockton native but rather a transplant; therefore, I have no allegiance to the haughty dynasty. Before you jump on me, I have frequented a number of the Spanos West shopping establishments, including the Farmer's Market. But there is a representative of this venture, a woman named Lynn who outright LIED to me. Upon opening for the season, I noticed this Farmer's Market increased their days to include Thursdays. I queried - what happened to the one adjacent to the old Circuit City building? She replied - "they are no longer there." I cannot fathom someone would lie to a customer's face. Did she believe me a fool? Did she think I wouldn't find out the San Joaquin Farmer's Market still thrives, directly competing with their days/hours? She went further to say the only other Farmer's Market in town was the one downtown. When I asked why the decision to "close" the one at Circuit City, she said the "businesses" at Park West "supported" the Market with publicity. Shame on you Spanos! You should care more about the farmers and consumers rather than the fact that you want more dollars funneled into your shopping center. (AND STOP HAVING MOUTHPIECES LIE TO CUSTOMERS AND YES, I AM YELLING!!!) This is not the wise and optimistic credo of one of my favorite movies, Field of Dreams: "If you build it, they will come." This is a classic "If you bring the farmers to us, we can ensure our great-great grandchildren's opulence." Let me reiterate - the Farmer's Market at Circuit City is alive and well - and in direct competition to this one. Competition in free enterprise - is that not the American Way?

My to go spot has Don Rafas, but maybe some other time i'll try a different spot. Don Rafas has them brown corn homemade tortillas tho! Get here early to find parking cuz parking is a B! The vibe here is just very cheerful and vibrant, never had any problems coming out here. Its always been peaceful, the produce section goes crazy! Try the agua frescas! My favorite is the Naranja (orange) agua fresca. I've only seen one vendor with it and he's at the end of the produce section on the westside. Trust me thats the one!

Luckily we found parking inside and close to one of the entrances. The parkings here however suck. They're very tight and people don't know how to park. It was an average size flea market, we got around the whole thing in about an hour. It was just sad to see a lot of the vendors had a lot of the same items. There were only a handful of people with their own crafts, items you couldn't find anywhere else. Most shops though had same knock off stuff. I was sad to see (and this is not to knock Don Rafas, because they are one of the best - also expensive - taco trucks in Stockton!) but, their trucks I believe I seen 2 were packed like barely a seat open.. yet all the other trucks/food vendors were nearly empty. Like where is the support? We didn't get a chance to eat and we had to leave early, but we seen a taco truck called "Lalo's" and they looked/smelled good, yet were almost empty. I'd probably be back just to spend an hour outside. I did buy a really good smelling perfume at a steal of a price, so I'd definitely return to that vendor.
