Delays cannot be helped, weather incidents or any act of nature occurrence are not what I am talking about. However, the seats reassignment has happened to me a number of times, often while traveling with my husband or a friend when we specifically chose seats togehter. During our most recent trip to the USVI, another surprise for us! They completely changed our return connection so that we were assigned to a fully booked plane and will no longer be seated in our chosen seats. To top it all off, during check-in they offered better seats for us for an upgrade. Makes me wonder if this is a thing to make you pay extra? FYI- our original seats and flights would have been much better but they moved us to a totally different flight connecting to a different city and had given us seats at the very end of the plane, right by the bathroom. My husband ended up taking the upgrade for a fee at check-in so we did not have to be seated by the bathroom but the seats were still separate and only the window seats were available. The next morning, they tried of offer us money if we would take a different flight owing to the one they moved us to being extremely full. Well, who's fault was that? We didn't take the offer. We had to stay on schedule to get our dog from the sitter and a life to get back to. Furthermore, the gate numbers are rarely accurate so goodluck when connecting! Sure, they have nice perks such as a varied number of movies for those long flights but I'd rather that my flight and seat selections are honored even if that means not having movies to watch or games to play. Besides, they make you watch their credit card ad so many times in the process in addition to the numerous announcements made about it. I'm giving them 2 stars based on past successful experiences I have had traveling with them but recent experiences being considered, I cannot bring my rating to be higher unfortunately. Recent experiences have been too annoying and inconvenient. I'm sure we'll end up flying AA again in the future but currently, they're not at the top of my list.

They had round trip flights for $190 per person (nothing included), and the next cheapest flight from another airline was $600. My mother and I jumped on this! Including one suitcase that I added on to her flight, our ticket prices averaged $250 each (the add on suitcase was $110 total). The flight we took did include a red eye/overnight layover in Ft. Lauderdale which was unfortunate but I had to work Friday during the day and it was the only flight that left at night/arrived early in the AM Sat (all the rest of the flights are 6-7 hrs total leaving in the AM and arriving late). So this flight was perfect imo. The staff at the gate and on the plane were very friendly and welcoming! I felt quite safe the entire ride to and from the island as well, which is so important to me. The economy section was otherwise fairly equivalent to other airlines I've flown, so I was not mad about it at all. Overall will absolutely continue flying spirit when they come in clutch with these flight deals!

The flight attendants were very friendly as usual per flying with United Airlines. I've never had any issues when flying with this airline and I've flown when them a lot over the years. They typically have more leg room and comfort compared to most of the other airlines out there. I think what sets them apart from other airlines is the professionalism of their flight attendants. They are hands down my favorite to travel with due to them always making me feel appreciated and going out of their way to make sure my flight is great. No lines, easy check-in, nice flight, great scenery....we had nothing but pleasant dealings with this company! Used Seaborne to get from St Croix back over to St Thomas, and it was pretty much a breeze. Got to the terminal, there really wasn't many people there at all, got checked in in no time, and there was a nice area right on the water to sit and wait for your plane. Yes it was delayed a bit but we didn't mind, and pretty soon the plane landed and we boarded and were headed for STT! It was a nice, uneventful flight and we got back to our island quickly, got our bags, and were done! Since there are limited options right now to get over to STX from STT (I think the new ferry is supposed to start running soon!), Seaborne is a great choice. It was quick, easy, and fun too as you take off and land on the water which is pretty cool. We had a great experience with them and I wouldn't hesitate to use them again.
