I purchased a pair of Morel frames and the most expensive lense options from Delray Optical in the spring of 2023 . The bill states 800.00 . The prescription I provided was copied with the decimal in the wrong place. Not being in the business, I did not notice it . After almost three weeks the prescription , of course , was way off . Was told they had to be sent out again . Almost three weeks after that, they were OK but I noticed , at home , there was a green tint to the lenses , which I didn't like . I took them back and was told , they would change the lenses out again . One week later I got them back with no change in the tint and was told they perform lense services in house . Now I am wondering , why did I wait over five weeks for the initial pair and why was there no change in the tint? Not happy about being "gaslit" It gets worse !!! A little over a year later the coating on my lenses deteriorated due to exposure to heat, I was told . I was never warned about the possibility of this occurrence , but I was assured that everyone in the state of Florida knows this ! Being a few months out of the one year warranty, the cost to replace my lenses was going to be 500.00 . The story I got was , "sorry pal your SOL" . In all the years I have worn glasses , I have never had a pair get damaged from the heat even after being left in a car , in the case and in the summer . I think I spent a lot of money, to be so unsatisfied , and I wasn't going to spend another 500.00 . My conclusion: Delray Optical couldn't care less about my satisfaction , took way to long to fill my prescription, ( "it's the labs fault") , wouldn't take any responsibility for the lens coatings , and didn't act in good faith . The store is next door to my dentist. I found Delray Optical accidentally, and I'm glad I did. I have a difficult prescription.- Prisms,- very hard to craft, some Optical places failed, and they had to return my deposit after weeks of trying. So you get what you pay for. Asked a representative for a lens coating service in which they told me doesn't exist and laughed, scoffed, and continued to make me feel "dumb" for asking the question about the service. Well within a 5 minute google search I found out the representative is in fact wrong - which is a terrible reflection of whoever does own this business. Not offering the service, and make a customer feel stupid for asking a question are 2 huge leaps in customer service. Each of my lenses were 1,000 USD, "simply remaking" them is not an option. Great selection and a staff that knows the art of optometry. Purchases me second pair of prescription eyeglasses, the styles are very modern and the quality of the lens are high. Takes about a week to get your glasses but well worth it, they have an onsite lab that cuts the lens. went to Delray optical. They gave me a prescription told me that I will need cataract surgery in four years. When I got my glasses, I kept on going back they kept on adjusting and then months later I complaint, and they said that the cataracts will get worse . They suggested I see a surgeon for my cataracts and that when I come back, they would take care of the prescription. After all said and done I went back and they told me if it took too long and they can't do anything for me. I would never go back there again. read more

Things were bad from start to finish. The optician has terrible handwriting, so I had to get help from other employees to decipher my prescription before I left. I ordered new lenses for a pair of frames I already had, and they said they would call when they were ready. A week went by, and when I called, they said they would be ready the next day, and they would call me to let me know. That call never came. I called the following Monday and got the same story (they would be ready tomorrow and they would call), but again, they never called. Three days later, two weeks after I ordered my glasses, I showed up in person. I was told they had just arrived because the previous pair of lenses had been scratched. They gave me the glasses, but the lines on the bifocals were much higher than they were supposed to be, much higher than they were on the lenses they replaced, and much higher than I told them I wanted them. They had to make the lenses again (a 3rd time). I have them now but I don't wear them because something about the lenses is off. I'd like to return to the store to have them make it right, but there's no reason to think they'd get them right on a 4th attempt. I'm out $200 with nothing to show for it. read more
