Their online store is great! It is perfect for the beginner stain glass artist. I was so excited to find them. I had waited so long to finally buy all my supplies to create my own studio after paying for classes and using others equipment. I looked at all of their bundles and they looked super reasonable to buy everything together. I even checked the prices of all the tools individually and the bundles are in fact a good deal! I chose the lead upgrade kit and the bundle with grinder and tools without the glass sheets. I got to check out and WTF. They wanted me to pay $300 dollars to ship it to me. Now this is outrageous. They claim their shipping costs are due to the fact that glass is fragile etc. Well that makes sense only I wasn't buying glass I was buying tools! What is saved in my bundles was more than doubled in shipping costs. Soooo disappointed. I reluctantly cancelled my order and got everything on Amazon for 11 dollars shipping. I hate Amazon and avoid shopping there like the plague but I'm sorry I'm not rich and could not believe the shipping cost difference for the exact same materials and I even ordered a few more things. I paid for what they said was priority mail, but they sent it ground. coming to Hawaii, that means boat which is 4-6 weeks. as a small business owner, I know things happen, but I was told that they just ship ground anyway and that they'd monitor my shipment. so 4 weeks later, I'll confirm it's still on a boat and I really needed this one. since it's my second order, I'm throwing in the towel. i began dealing with Delphi approximately 6 months ago and up until my recent order was pleased with Delphi. However, this last order placed on Sept 9, 2025 was the nightmare order. My order arrived on Sept 13, but it was not my order. The invoice did not match the items in the box nor the items I ordered. I had to box it all back up and leave it on the front porch for FedEx to pick up. I sent Delphi an email and they reshipped my order on 9/15. I had to call and get the tracking number, as they do not send out new tracking numbers. My order arrived today, 9/19 and it is still INCORRECT. Two items were missing, AGAIN. The staff was very accommodating and helped me pick out the many varieties of glass need for a project. It was so much fun. They carefully wrapped up all my glass for safe travels. We had just installed a new garage door and of course, I decided to bust out one of the windows immediately lol....so I rush to Delphi in hopes that they can rescue me from my crisis...this was 10/11/19 and they had just opened for the day...I go running in and they greet me so nicely, and I plead my case...a very nice young man takes me right away to fix my situation...and although they normally, and understandably usually ask for 24hr turn around time he made an exception for my little window pane and saved the day. I recently placed my second order with Delphi. The first was a small item and it was received quickly and packaged well. But the 2nd time, one item I bought was not what was marked. I emailed Delphi and received a response within minutes. They apologized profusely, said they would get my glass out on Monday (this was Friday). They even told me to keep in the incorrect item. DO NOT USE THEM!!! There are better places and cheaper places, AVOID at all costs!! I ordered glass, it was nothing like what I was expecting. I called about returning it for customer service to say "I wouldn't send it back because glass often gets "broken" in the mail." It almost sounded like a threat in a way like no matter what, it was going to be broken. I wish I would have looked on here and read the reviews before ordering. I sent it back and they claimed only 1 of the two panels made it without getting broken. I used all the same packaging they used. Plus I ship glass all the time with no issues. I asked for a pic of the broken materials and they will not send it. They said "due to injury they don't handle the glass", I'm thinking, then how did you separate it from the glass they claimed to not be broken, plus ever heard of gloves. After not hearing back for a few days I contactEd my CC company, of course they replied after my CC company contacted them. Currently working with CC company to just get my money back and move on. Buyer beware - Delphi does not stand by their glass. Here's what happened: I ordered a glass package with eight 6" X 6" pieces that looked nice on their website - what I got was this: 1) Not all the pieces were 6 x 6 as advertised which messed my already started project up big time. One piece was cut at an angle for instance with the shorter end not 6 inches! See #1537 in the photo. 2) Three pieces that were actually 6" X 6" came with a rolled edge which rendered them unusable as 6" X 6" after I cut the edge off. See #4554 for example. 3) Two pieces were so dark that hardly any light came through and that was after holding them right to the light source itself. One piece looked brown and the other I couldn't tell - #5642 and #5697. I threw them out. 4) The best piece in the group was broken in three - #1665. 5) The glass was brittle and VERY rough to the touch and not smooth - making it hard to cut. 6) And all this for $75! Given the above situation, I asked for a full refund and only got half back which, ironically, was a bit less than the sale price the package went on even before I received it. I had to keep following up to get any refund at all. Finally, before writing this, I gave Delphi one more chance to make things right by giving me a full refund and emailed a higher-up with the above information. I NEVER received a reply. SO, IF YOU ORDER GLASS, IT'S ON YOU BECAUSE YOU'VE BEEN WARNED. Good luck! Too bad there aren't negative stars to give out... read more

Simply a company to deal with. Where do I begin? First, I ordered nearly $400 worth of items from their site. A particular item from their beginner kit was not as pictured (the subbed-in item was a different item altogether--cheaper and subpar). When brought to their intention, I got an "oh well, sorry" type of response, to which I pushed. Then, they offered me free shipping if I wanted to purchase the correct item. What? Already I spent $180 on this particular part of my order, but they wanted $15 more just to give me the item they have pictured? I was blown away but their unwillingness to correct their own issue. They still never replied back to this. (EDIT: They have since corrected this issue and are sending me the item from the photo. Amended stars to 3, from 1.*) Then, I called due to a shipping question on another item (my order was arriving in multiple shipments, 3 to be exact), it had been over a week and I still hadn't gotten the biggest part of my order, a grinder that was on special (it came with coolant and a small table.) Both "extra bonus" items are available separately but this was a package deal. When I call, I ask about the grinder. They tell me it is on backorder. This wasn't the case when I made the purchase. Already, this is annoying. I would've never ordered it. "When is it coming? Do you have an estimate, at least?" "I'm not sure. Would you like me to email you to let you know when?" Well, yeah... what kind of question is that? This should be standard protocol, as I didn't even know it was backordered. Man, I need this stuff now. I wouldn't have ordered from this company had I known any of this. So I get an email a day or two later telling me it's discontinued altogether. They're sorry but they'll give me $25 off since I'll have to order another and pay for shipping. What?! I already paid for shipping for the other, no? Besides this, could they not actually send me these items alone with the grinder? I mean, how would you make this up to a customer? Especially since you'd already messed up another part of the order. Wow. They still have not explained what I have paid for and what I haven't. Because I own my own business, I had to request an invoice. Still waiting to hear back, but what a fiasco. I was super excited about this new adventure and Delphi Glass has only made it a struggle and disappointment. I wish I could return it all and start over with a different company, one that actually acted like they wanted my business. If you are uninterested in the backstory, please just skip to the last 2 paragraphs. I have found great joy in glass art. I'm not a beginner, I have a studio that is over 800 square feet. Most of my work is done using a large Paragon kiln, and I have probably $2,000.00 worth of glass, frit, stringers, noodles... you get the idea. I have hosted many kids to come and have a glass fusing experience (not readily available or affordable for many of them). I was recently left to administer a fairly decent trust- left by a local artist who wished the money to be spent on art and kids. Project number one; purchase small portable glass kilns and materials and distribute to the public schools, Boys and Girls Clubs, etc. in my area. So I reviewed all of the options for purchasing said items and placed as close to exact an order as I could with each company that I could find that sold both materials and the kiln that I had chosen. I made no mention of the fact that it was a "test" and the company that provided the best overall value, customer service, technical support and shipping would be getting a massive order- in the neighborhood of $30,000. I ordered a Fuseworks craft kiln beginners kit from Delphi- they happily processed my payment immediately and my order arrived 3 weeks later. By the time the kiln kit arrived from Delphi, I already had all of the other 8 kiln kits- and all but Delphi arrived within a week. The orders were all placed on the same day, within an hour. Following the instructions exactly- as I had done already with the other 8, the first fuse (after the empty test fire and cooling time) - the project (exactly the same as the previous 8) using the glass included in the kit- the project essentially exploded inside the kiln in less than 5 minutes of turning it on to fire. I called Delphi - over and over and over. Both their sales department and their physical storefront location. I never received an answer, but logged over 5 hours on hold. The recording repeats over and over- "you're awesome" as well as (ironically) "wow- you're still here"... I sent an email explaining the problem, as well as a problem with a second order of just glass in various shapes and sizes which arrived with only 3 of 8 items that I ordered, as well as 2 random boxes of glass pebbles that are not used in fusing, and I did not order them. There was no- none- zero packing material in my box of...GLASS! Broken, chipped, missing and unordered glass. No response to the email for a week, so I sent the exact email again with an attached note that said this was the email I sent a week ago, and have nor received a response. This continued for several more weeks until I finally got an email. It said that two of the items that I ordered were back ordered and they would "let me know when (they) got them." It was a personal message, not a form letter, but somehow they failed to address the exploding kiln, the loss of materials as a result and the broken and improperly packaged glass. So, I sent them a new email. The tone was curt, but polite and I simply wanted to know why they failed to address the $400 problem but found the time to address the $45 worth of back ordered items. They answered that one with a "professional" piece of correspondence of which I have never in my life see the likes of. It was rude, accusatory, and told me that I was "yelling" at him, and he didn't appreciate my tone. My reply-( in a nutshell) didn't yell at you, not my intent, apologies, perhaps you could have your supervisor contact me as it seems you feel that I am threatening you... Got a phone call today from someone who referred to Delphi as "my company"- didn't catch her name or title- but she screamed at me, did not allow me a word in edgewise, told me that the kiln problem was my fault and if I knew anything about glass I would know that I had destroyed my kiln by creating a thermal shock (this mainly happens when incompatible glasses are used together... hummmm perhaps Delphi sent me a mixture of different COE's. Seems likely to me. But what do I know- I am just some random customer who has no experience with glass fusing, kilns or good business practice...Not! I have a Master of Fine Arts as well as an MBA, and have been on more boards of directors than I can even recall. So lovely lady who "will refund (my) kiln, even though it was (my fault) and past (their) 30 day return policy. And (they) will never do business with (me) again". As if... seriously? In a nutshell; you don't get what you order, they do not answer their phones, do not provide customer support, they blame the customers for their failures. Rude, obnoxious, dishonest and frequent orders that are taken for items that they know they don't have, and won't have for some time, but still take your payment and then avoid answering for any problems. I am sitting here frustrated to beat all!!! Delphi workers are very friendly and helpful (working with Rachel and Brenda) but I would not order from this company again. Their kind apologies do not fix the situation. The website says delivery in three days. I ordered nearly $200 worth of glass and a BOGO 1 inch grinder bit this past Tuesday morning. I need the glass right away to work on a project for my son who is coming to visit from London in 2 weeks -- enough time to finish his window project. BUT... the shipping order was not generated on Wednesday because the grinder was back ordered, so Delphi waited a day and saw they would not be getting the grinder bit. If I had not called Delphi, I would not know that I was not receiving the grinder bit until the box with my stained glass in it arrived. That is inexcusable not to be notified about this. I have received the Fed Ex shipping number with a delivery date of Monday "end of day." Way past when I was expecting it! The glass is at this moment on Delphi's container box waiting for Fed Ex pickup. (I write this at noon on Thursday). Staff could not get to the box they say in order for me to pay for faster delivery. Fed Ex tells me it does not have the package as yet. I will be very lucky indeed to get this package my Monday "end of day." So, my conclusion is that Delphi Glass is not a company that cares about its customers. Certainly, I should have been notified that Delphi was delaying shipment because the grinder bit is on back order. If I had known that, I would have paid for expedited shipping. Certainly, I should have been notified that I would not be receiving the grinder bit with the glass ordered so I could possible make other arrangements. Any issues I ever had (and there haven't been many), have been resolved promptly and with great courtesy. Lately I've been buying from them more frequently than in the past and my orders ship quick and no glass breakage, everything arrives in one piece. They are an excellent company who have been in business for 50 years. We have visited their retail store many times (we're in Milwaukee) and I've traveled to take workshops there. I've order several hundreds of dollars from Delphi a couple of times now (because unfortunately Uroboros glass was pushed out of business by militant environmentalists). Order in January 2017 had a couple of broken pieces and some back ordered items. I called about the broken stuff and they said they'd replace it. The months roll by, still on back order. Then July 2017 comes and I'm asked if I want to cancel the order which I do. Surprise! In August I'm charged for shipping for an order that never shows up, for back ordered items. so I really wanted to live my experience with delphi because I live in the middle of nowhere and online glass shopping is super necessary. I have ordered each order around or close to 4-500$ I lived the glass finder option, super cool and they had a lot of glass. my first order I was new to this, so wasn't sure what to expect and surprisingly the package arrived fairly quickly probably within a week and a half second order I was blown away it arrived in less than a week. I was stoked so my last order that I ordered was a pretty important order and I had to decide whether I was going to do an online order if I was going to make a two hour trip up to Vegas well considering my second order went through well I decided to online order my glass they had a 15% off coupon for customer appreciation which is great so I placed my order and I put my 15% in. There is also a buy one get one well they would only honor that once so you can only buy one thing and only get one other thing at 50% off. I couldn't buy two flex and two Patinaz. I could only buy one of each and they would only honor the discount once which I thought was stupid but I had to order stuff so I did it anyway and basically when I order glass I try to get as much as I can On sale. Honestly, I think that maybe only three of the sheets that I ordered which ended up being just 6x6 were the only three things that were not on sale and those are the only three things that they gave me 15% off of my shipping. This time was over $50 and I get it or economy sucks right now and $50 would've been great. Had the package arrived. In a timely manner, I placed my order on a Wednesday early in the morning it says on the site that they get everything packaged up and ready to send out within one to two days will come Monday morning. I noticed it still hadn't been shipped so I started to make a fuss, I need this packsg . I figured it would've been there already. Considering I paid $50 for shipping so nothing Tuesday nothing Wednesday nothing Thursday finally Saturday I get the notification that my package is in FedEx and it will be arriving on that Saturday. Hello all, I should have read the negative reviews concerning Delphi Glass before ordering. I also had a very bad experience with them on an online order. They had listed a product as - Dichroic Firestrips on black - 10 piece assortment for 11.95 as you can see from my receipt. So I ordered 6 tubes of these giving me a total of 60 Firestrips. When my packaged arrived I was so excited but upon opening it I found only one tube with FOUR STICKS. WTF? I call and they tell me it is $11.95 per stick not per tube. Again WTF? When I called and told them I could not afford the price of $11.95 per stick - they would not waver at all and simply did not care at all that their website was incorrect and sold them to me at the price on the receipt below! After a not so nice discussion I was very unhappy with this situation they told me to keep the four sticks at no charge. When you advertise something at a certain price, process the sale and ship part of the items (cuz the rest were on backorder) I expect that to be honored. Then they go ahead and charge me for the 4 sticks anyway after telling me to go ahead and keep them at no charge. So I say ok, we all have enough to argue about right?? So I get a credit on my card but they charged me for 4 sticks. I call back and again after a long hold the rep comes back on line and says I can keep them but now they are going to charge me shipping. SO, DO YOURSELF A FAVOR AND BUY FROM ANOTHER VENDER! Delphi does have a lot of stained glass supplies. We are fortunate that this store is here near Lansing than some far off place. Negatives: I am a stickler for cheerful and courteous cashiers, and some who work here are neither. Roy is good, though, so sometimes I wait a bit to buy something till he is around. I'll admit that I shop here less often than I used to after The Incident. I measured out some broken glass and it was just over four pounds of scrap, maybe 4 1/16 at most. I brought that to the register along with a pile of other stuff, waited on the line, and was finally next. Cashier: How much does this weigh? Felix: Four pounds. Cashier: I don't think so! She scurried off to weigh it, and returned triumphantly, grinning like, well, a cat. Cashier: This is more than four pounds!! Felix: How much more? A sixteenth, a thirty-second?!? I am really frustrated with my first (and only) experience with Delphi Glass. I ordered a *set* of 8 drawer pull blanks on July 19, 2014. I received 2 of them on July 23, 2014, with no explanation of what happened to the other 6. I emailed the company on July 28 to find out what happened. The head of Customer Service emailed me back. Here's her email text, sent on July 28, 2014: "At the time we sent you those pulls, we only had the 2 in stock. Unfortunately, our warehouse workers when pulling an item do not know if there were only 2 due to simply being out of stock, or if the item has been discontinued. "I see that we now have them once again in stock and the last 6 will be shipping out to you tomorrow. If I may be of further assistance, please do not hesitate to contact me." By August 2, I still hadn't received the 6 pulls. I confirmed on my credit card statement that I had been charged the full price of all 8 pulls plus shipping. I emailed the company head of Customer Service again and asked what happened. I got no response by August 4, so I called the company and spoke to a customer service rep who said that the pulls were being held up from shipping for some unspecified reason. He promised to go and send them himself immediately. I spoke to him about an hour ago so I will edit this review after I see whether he did what he said he would do. I am extremely disappointed and upset with this company and their lack of concern for their customers' satisfaction. I will look for another supplier if I want to make drawer pulls in the future. read more

Going to Delphi Glass in Lansing was an event for the family. It's a total of 4 hours round trip and we were all excited to purchase the items on our wish lists. When we entered Delphi, we were all hit with sour employee attitudes and their unwillingness to assist us with any items on our lists. It was as if they were offended we were in the shop. Subsequent to this visit (we purchased nothing), I received a notice of upcoming classes. I'd love to attend a class BUT there is no way am I doing 4 hours of windshield time to be so poorly treated by Delphi. Delphi needs to learn how to treat people like customers. They've lost 3. When a back order for glass is required and a gift card is applied to the balanced owed and your original order is more than gift card you use a credit card to pay the difference. But when the back order reduces the costs of the original order and the gift card can cover the complete cost they don't apply the complete value of the gift card but charge your credit card keeping a balance on the gift card instead of using the full amount to pay for what they can deliver. In other words Delphi maintains money in their coffers until the back order can be filled and you must pay what was charged to your credit card. The excuse they use is we don't have control of how are system divides the charges. read more

I wish I had read these reviews before ordering online - and having issue after issue... many not resolved. I had used Delphi Glass when I dabble in stained Glass lifetime ago ... a positive experience back in the day ... my how the company has changed. I would give this a zero if that was available. I ordered a Delphi kiln - one they designed and had manufactured - one they suggested for a beginner like me. It was to come with 16 pre-programs. It did not. After many phone calls I finally talked to someone who directed me to download updated software - I did - it was still missing the metal clay and bead annealing pre-programs. I email that status to them - radio silence. When I finally got their attention again, they tell me I have to work directly with their manufacturer. In hind sight why would I need to talk the THEIR manufacturer? I called them - and the manufacturer said they have begged Delphi to provide the pre-programs - that they would include any pre-programs Delphi wants to include, even for molds and other techniques, if Delphi would just provide them. Seems like an easy fix to me but Delphi Glass refuses to provide them. Why would that be? Do they not know how to use their own kiln? Why would they put me in the middle? Simply bad customer service and customer experience. My advice: BUY ELSEWHERE. Oh - forgot to mention - the documentation provided with the kiln does not include the newer controller that is on the kiln - all the pictures and references are wrong. When asked about that they sent a 'new' version of the manual via email - and believe it or not the one she sent was OLDER that the one that arrived with the kiln!!! Yikes... Where's my order? I placed an order a month ago saying it would arrive within 3-5 business days. I have emailed the company several times at the recommended email address with no response. I will attempt to call them on a business day, but I'm very disappointed in customer service. I guess if you plan on ordering from Delphi, it would probably best to go to the store. read more

I have been a Delphi customer for several years and everything was fine until about 6 months ago. Suddenly when I placed orders they would pre-authorize my credit card for the entire order but only ship partial shipments (according to inventory) and also charge my credit card for the actual shipment. Therefore for a period of 5 days after pre-authorization of the original order and partial shipment I would have two different charges in my bank account - one for $196.47 (pre-authorization of original order) and $38 for partial shipment. After 5 day the $196.47 would drop off my account and the actual charge of $38.56 would be processed. However, for 5 days $235.03 (pre-authorization of original order plus partial shipment) would be on hold on my banking account. Each time another shipment was released from the order the same thing would happen again - pre-authorization of original order plus charge for actual shipment and again funds would be held up for 5 days. After contacting customer service I received an email from Elizabeth Burns, Contact Center Manager. This is her response--"After shipping those items on 06/25/21 that left an open order total of $196.47 that our system authorized for on 07/23/21 which allowed for us to ship the Tiny Angels Bevel Cluster on invoice #------- totaling the $38.56 on 07/26/21. $196.47 represented the dollar amount of the order that still remained open after we shipped that initial package on 06/25/21.  As for the money looking like a charge on your banking end, I'm afraid that has everything to do with how your bank may need to hold funds for a certain period of time that are authorized; despite the merchant (Delphi) having already settled against that very authorization for less dollars." I had already spoken with my bank representative and he had assured me the charges on my account had be generated by Delphi. Why would a vendor possibly pre-authorize the amount of the original order for a partial shipment. They should only be pre-authorizing a credit card for the actual amount they can release for shipment. Needless to say this answer was not what I wanted to hear. So I sent another email and this is the response I received the second time. "Based on the way you have replied to my latest email in all red bold-faced font, I am realizing that any further email correspondence is likely not productive.  Any further inquiries or frustration you may have with your bank needs to be handled directly with them.  The consistent insinuation that we have repeatedly overcharged you is untrue.  We have been in business for nearly 50 years and have conducted our credit card processing this very way since I started here 21 years ago.  Any funds being held that are connected to any authorization (NOT charges) that we made against your card has everything to do with how your bank holds those authorized (NOT settled) funds. So this is a game of -- It's Delphi's fault, no it's the banks fault. If I have two (2) charges in my bank account for one shipment (one that drops off in 5 days) I hardly see how it could possibly be the banks fault. I have one more order to ship from Delphi and then I am THROUGH. Delphi has no interest in Customer Service or pleasing the customer. DON'T WASTE YOUR TIME!! read more

Placed my first order the other day, the lady told me everything was in stock and it would go out that day plus she would send me an e-mail. Never received an e-mail so today I gave a call to check on the order. The lady told me that 1 of the pieces of glass was out of stock so I told her the lady who took the order said it's all in stock. I then asked for a manager who was very hard to deal with. I picked out another piece of glass and told her since Delphi glass messed up big time they had better ship my order 2 day air at Delphi's EXPENSE. Will NEVER order from them again. Do not BUY from them plus their shipping is expensive. read more
