Laura served us and was very sweet and knowledgeable. She really knows her wine and what we would like. The place is welcoming. The wines are delicious and purchased a few bottles. Highly recommend this place.

So happy before the big letdown.

Beware!! This Deloach worker named JC is a rude, unprofessional scammer who tried her best to make my friends bday celebration as awful as possible! We go annually to Windsor for her birthday. Our party of 8 came early with smiles in our faces Monday morning 12/2. We have two members of Buena Vista Winery in our party, which DeLoach is part of. Booked 2 tables separately as to avoid the fees as it's suppose to be complimentary for members and 3 friends. There were no other guests the whole time we were there. We were greeted irritably by unsmiling JC. Don't know why she's so cranky when there were no other customers that day. She gave us a sermon about 'next time book 2 tables' (which we did) or we'll be charged. That's fine. She then started putting our tables together (mind you, we didn't ask her to do this) but we're right next to each other so we're actually made her job easier by just going to one table instead of doing her spiel twice. She was not friendly at all. She made us feel like we're bothering her instead of making us feel welcomed. Mind you, she was just twiddling with some Christmas trees while she waited for customers (meaning us since there's no other patrons there). But we kept our smile and our positive energy giving her the benefit of the doubt, maybe she's just having a bad day. By the end, she showed us how hateful and unprofessional she truly is. She demanded payment for having the tables together. We reminded her that she's the one that put the tables together, and said this time it's ok. Made us listen to her sermon and made us feel small but yet in the end she charged us anyway. We are members to many wineries and been to many tastings locally and all over the world and we have never been treated as rudely as we were that day by JC. We tried speaking to the manager Cyndee (she took over 5 mins to come down only to say she's not there!) We believe she's a scammer who takes the money she gets from unsuspecting patrons like us. She's just gotten away with it and has never been confronted by any of her victims. Well, we are standing up against JC for the principle of it. If DeLoach doesn't want their reputation tarnished by an unprofessional and rude server then they should get rid of this horrendous person. The two members are even contemplating canceling their memberships over this fiasco. We did meet one person (Gina with her cute dog) who let us use a big frame for our group pics before JC ruined our experience.

Laura was amazing, she made some great suggestions and the wine tasting was delicious. Came looking for gifts and they do shipping as well as set us up for a membership. Highly recommend! Great atmosphere and everyone was friendly!

All three bottles had pushed up corks, indicating high bottle pressure

I'd been a member of DeLoach for three years. My wife and I've enjoyed tasting experiences not only at DeLoach, but also at Raymond Vineyards and Buena Vista Winery. While we'd noticed that the wine tasting at DeLoach was becoming less impressive these days, I did not cancel my membership until the recent release of the Wine Club. Because we did not have time to pickup the release, I asked Meghan (Membership Manager) to ship them to us. Unfortunately, they were shipped to the wrong address and spent over a week in NorCal's 110 degree temperatures. She finally redirected them (yes, the same ones), but when they arrived at the correct address, all three bottles had boiled. Due to high bottle pressure from excessive temperature, the corks had been pushed up. The capsule of Zinfandel was torn and the Pinot Noir had obvious leakage. When we see wine being treated this way on the sales side, we feel sorry for the winemakers. It has become a very expensive ($160) experiment for us to see how wine changes at high temperatures.

We last minute added this on our tour and regretted it. While the whole vineyard was empty they shoved us into a cold freezing room. No one introduced themselves or discussed the tastings. They handed us 1 glass and began pouring without describing and giving any info on the actual pours. They also originally gave only one glass and kept pouring pours into that one glass until my BIL complained that most tastings give more than one glass etc and we had paid for the tasting fee. We finished our tasting quickly, made no purchase and thought the wine was not good Left with a bad taste in our mouth, literally and figuratively!

Lovely tasting - we had a Chardonnay, two Pinot Noirs, and a Zinfandel. We were also given a surprise champagne treat for New Year's Day!

Even though we arrived without an appointment on New Year's Day, DeLoach was able to host us for a tasting! Henry was our host and was wonderful! A Sonoma-native, he answered all our newbie questions and was personable, knowledgeable, and clearly passionate about wine. We were given a 2 for 1 wine tasting from our AirBnb host, and also ordered a cheese/charcuterie platter. I highly recommend the platter (came with crackers, two cheeses, two salumi, prosciutto, olives, dried cranberries and apricots, and almonds) - it pairs so well with the wine! Most of the estate wines were already sold out for the season, so our tasting included wines from the Sonoma region. A Chardonnay, two Pinot Noirs, and a Zinfandel. Because we visited on New Year's Day, we were treated to champagne after our tasting. Afterwards, we wandered around the surrounding grounds which feature educational signs re: DeLoach's history and biodynamique practices. Though the vineyard certainly looks different in winter, the warm sun was pleasant and we so enjoyed our visit!

Absolute bliss!!! Flavors were poppin like Mozarts birthday party.

5 stars is not enough!!!! Such a lovely winery and our wine expert Laura completed the experience with incredible recommendations :) Overall this won't be our last time at DeLoach, and the 18 bottles we bought won't last either! Cheers!!!!!

Also the staff were friendly, attentive and heavy on the pours making the whole night indulgent and fun. Overall 9/10. Good venue for a company gathering.

While working in St. Helena, I could never find an opening in a reservation, so here was a great opportunity now that all of us are retired. Our friends live in Clear Lake while we live in Vallejo, so this is a central place to meet. It was the best decision I made because every year for the past several anniversaries, we've gone to Cache Creek to C2. Their food and service is excellent because my husband enjoys poker, but I thought a change of scenery would be nice. And it was! Firstly, it was very kind of the staff to present us with a greeting card signed by everyone -- how sweet and thoughtful! We will cherish that! Secondly, we were very impressed with how the food/wine was locally sourced. It was incredible to hear the story about Custom, the Bull, and taste the difference between the Highland beef compared to Angus. Our waitress was "Erica S." From the beginning, there seemed to be constant miscommunication between staff. We specifically booked an outdoor reservation and were seated inside instead. While mistakes happen, it set the tone for the rest of the evening. The bigger issue involved the wine and corkage fee. We purchased a bottle directly from the market associated with the restaurant and were told by the employee there that the corkage fee would be waived if we bought their wine. When we sat down, our server Sara told us that was not true and that we would still have to pay the fee. I explained what we had been told, and when she asked if I wanted a manager involved, I said yes. Before the manager even arrived or clarified the situation, the server opened our bottle of wine. In the silence and confusion, I reasonably assumed the fee issue had been resolved. Then the manager came over and told us we would still be charged and implied that nobody at the market would have told us otherwise. The way it was handled made my husband and I feel like we were being accused of making the whole thing up, which was especially upsetting on Mother's Day. At that point, the bottle was already opened, so we were essentially stuck paying the fee regardless. Between being seated incorrectly, the poor communication between employees, and how dismissive the situation felt, the service completely overshadowed what should have been a special meal. The rest of the service we felt ignored and there was minimal effort to accommodate. Great food alone is not enough to justify returning when the hospitality experience feels this frustrating and unprofessional.
