Read the reviews that real customers have left in multiple places! The only good part of our experience was the sales side. They listened to what we wanted and quoted us on what we asked for, which is more than what the other companies we contacted did. Once we got the construction date it was all down hill from there. We are currently 15 WEEKS into construction and they have still not completed the lengthy punch list. There is zero communication unless we call multiple times. They do not show up when scheduled. The construction on our building was sub par, and their 'standard building practices" like leaving plywood exposed on the exterior of the building, leave much to be desired. Can't give a 0-star rating. Add me to the list of very dissatisfied customers. 24x32 Pole building. Took nearly 1 year to complete. Weeks of no work accomplished whatsoever, while being scolded for asking for a schedule -- they have pretty posters explaining their build process, you are expected to follow and understand but they ignore. My project by even their most conservative estimates was to be completed 4/1 -- we are approaching 10/1 (1 year from signed contract) and still not completed. The one highlight was the initial crew that constructed the actual shell of the building - they were exceptional. After that the project went downhill fast. I watched a house being built on neighboring property in less time to complete than my pole building. Their subcontractor (BigRed Services) for concrete, electrical, plumbing, HVAC work is so poor nearly everything they did had to be done twice. The plumbing was a disaster, HVAC unit was installed on a pile of fill dirt as the foundation. They couldn't even coordinate their own employees to do the trenching for the plumbing, electrical on the same day. The concrete work - please do not ever hire them for concrete work - is so substandard there are too many issues to list. The workmanship is sub apprentice level at best, but excused by their owner as "inconsistencies". Now let me get to the ownership of the company. James Sacra VP/Co-owner - could not be more displeased with him. His OPENING remark to me regarding the dozens of problems is "I am here to see how we can part ways as quickly as possible." NOT an ounce of customer satisfaction in his body. This man in my humble opinion is the root of their problems. His leadership does nothing to instill urgency, customer satisfaction, pride in workmanship to any of his employees and it shows. DO NOT HIRE DELMARVA POLE BUILDINGS! read more

Save yourself! DO NOT HIRE THIS COMPANY! In the beginning it sounded fantastic! By the end I was $8,000 over contract price. They hold no Accountability. I'm still waiting to speak to an owner/ manager of some sort. 7 months to complete job. They are a middle man, they contract the jobs out. Worst mistake of my life!!! BUYER BEWARE STAY AWAY FROM Delmarva Pole Buildings! This is one of the worst companies I've ever had to deal with. I first contacted them in May 2019, left messages and texts, took days upon days to get a response from my salesman Buddy. It took until August and for us to drive there and review a contract. We had an appointment which Buddy was late because he wrote the time down wrong and went to lunch. Then trying to make decisions on the options we had Buddy started rushing through because he had somewhere to be. It then took until December 2019 and they said we were getting a delivery...they dropped off ALL the building materials in my front yard! Flooring got broken right off the truck. They finally came out to start.....after it rained all night and was still raining. Decided it was a good idea to drill holes and put up 24ft posts. They kicked mud into the holes to hold the posts and didn't even bother bracing them. So of course they started falling! We then find running water in 2 of the holes, tried to contact them, when John, the contractor, and Leroy, the construction manager, finally came out they decided that putting stone in the hole would be sufficient. I did my own research and found out that they hit the sewer line and my main line! So my entire yard got dug up to repair the lines. It took until February 2020 to finally start. Needless to say all the material was in my front yard all this time being damaged by the weather. We wanted concrete poured for footers and they wanted to charge us $6 a bag when I found it at Home Depot for $3.64, we had to go and meet with James, Buddy and Leroy to hash this problem out. The building got erected and when it was time for the floor the next problem arose. We made if perfectly clear to Buddy, and was written in the contract to NOT drive the concrete truck on the driveway. Buddy stated "they'll figure it out", no mention of additional charges for a buggy....don't forget Buddy had to leave and rushed through. So, the broke the driveway in 3 spots!!! We went back and forth with James to figure out how to deal with this until James stopped answering and returning our calls. Now into November 2020 we finally talk to Jason, reviewed all that had happened. Of course the week of Thanksgiving so he said he'd look into things and get back in touch after the holiday. Well I gave up trying to contact them, then I get an email a couple days ago...10 months later...that we still owe them $5433.80 but they're willing to settle at $3000 and be done. Just to be done with them, even with a cracked driveway, I sent them a check and cut our losses to not have to ever deal with them again. So to wrap it up STAY FAR AWAY FROM DELMARVA POLE BUILDINGS and please share to everyone you know. The only bright spot from the whole ordeal was Paul and his crew, they did a great job on the garage. read more

Delmarva has horrible communication from the beginning. Karen in sales was always rude and full of lies . I had to go to Lowes to purchase more material for the crew because Delmarva told the crew they were to busy for a special delivery and I also had to go purchase more screws to screw the metal to the wood . No to metion there are scratches all over the metal door . I would not recommend this company at all ! read more

Unorganized, unaccountable, and no communication among staff to the point of utter incompetency. We were passed around like a baton. At one point, we were told that we had been assigned a project manager who never came to the site and that we never ever saw. If it wasn't one thing then it was another. The entire process was so painful and stressful. We were relieved when it was over. One of the windows is still missing trim, we emailed them about it, and, not surprisingly, did not heard back. We decided to just live with the missing trim rather than initiate more contact with them and prolong the agony. The only bright spot was the carpentry crew made up of the hardest working young men I've witnessed in a long time. I would not recommend. In fact, I would advise anyone to avoid Delmarva Pole Buildings. read more

Price escalation charges, significant delays in the building process - 4X what was committed to and the building is still not complete, extremely poor communication with the company leadership when you try to get answers, multiple failed code inspections from the county. Buyer beware! Once you sign a contract, it all goes downhill from there. No communication...no return phone calls or emails...delayed construction...workers use your yard as a bathroom (they do not provide ports-John's for their employees)...extremely poor execution. No one in senior positions will even talk with customers. Careless work...damage to my driveway that should have been avoided...horrible experience. The ONLY thing that is timely...is them asking for payment! Do yourself a favor and look elsewhere. read more

This company deserves less than one star or no star at all. A large horse barn with an attached indoor riding arena was started in January 2020 (I signed a paper stating that I would allow them to advertise this building on their site). The builder stopped showing up to the site after 5/29/2020. VERY little contact was made and I did not hear from them after 6/28. I sent certified mail on 8/14, which they received on 8/17, stating that they had 30 days to complete the project. I did not receive a phone call until September 1st. They sent one man out to the job (he had never been to the site previously). He informed me that the previous crew were sent to other jobs (while mine sat incomplete for almost four months)! They did not finish within the 30 day time frame, so they were asked to no longer step foot on the property. My "project coordinator" (worthless as they come) basically blamed the communication on me- the customer. When asked what her job title entailed, she said, "I am here to answer any questions that you may have." Yet, could not answer why no one had showed up or contacted me in such a lengthy amount of time. I assumed she was the one who was supposed to give me an itinerary of things that were happening and when they should be happening. I had to reach out to someone within the company every other day just to get an idea of what was going on. The owner, vice president -whatever his job title is- has yet to contact me in regards to me essentially firing the company. I have asked for his time on multiple occasions, yet he will not pick up a phone to talk to me. I could go on and on for days about the headache that this company has given me. Buyer, please beware! If you are looking for a pole building- trust me, find someone else. This is not a company that you want to work with. read more
