We have used them for 7-8 years, and there is NOTHING they can't cope with: spiders, ants, bees, boring insects, mice, squirrels - even flying squirrels! Living in the woods is lovely, but we have more than our fair share of unwelcome visitors. The technicians are awesome - Eric and Mike are incredibly knowledgeable, always polite and friendly. Called to get an estimate and they never discussed any type of an inspection fee. The guy told my husband we owe $99 for an inspection fee and then wanted to charge us $599 for service. Keep in mind he only looked at three holes in the yard. I would never use or recommended this company read more

They left a squirrel to die and languish in the heat for a week - this poor squirrel died a slow painful death due to the negligence of this company. I would NOT recommend this company if my life depended on it!! They lack compassion and care. They could care less about humane extermination. I called Delmar and talk to the gentleman on the telephone. Told him what I was looking for and ask him a price. He told me it was up to the person that comes out because they do a house inspection. I told the gentleman I just want it covers over my vents and I have five vents. When the Company representative came out. He told me that I only needed one because the other vents has screens he put one vet on and told me the other vet didn't need one because in his 13 years and Pest control a bird has never gone that low in event and after this charge me $200 after the paperwork said 127 he cross that out. Two days later, a bird started nesting in the bottom vent I have a video of the bird in the vent. I just don't know how to pull it up and put it on here. We had a squirrel infestation in the eaves of an outdoor porch roof. Erik, from Delmar, was not only knowledgeable about squirrels, he was extremely thorough. He came back multiple times to set traps and remove squirrels. All told there were 8! He was cordial and exacting. After he determined that the squirrels were no longer active, he sealed up the opening to prevent any other critters from entering. I would highly recommend Delmar and Erik for your wildlife removal. Please heed this warning about Delmar Pest Control!!! This is not an extermination service in the classical sense of the word when it comes to bed bugs. Granted, everyone knows how difficult these little vampires are to eradicate completely, but that's supposed to be what the professionals are for. Delmar is actually the kind of company you SHOULDN'T call for this particular problem because they are a "Treat and Maintenance" company. So they will treat your house ($1,000) with these completely insufficient and outdated techniques, such as pesticides that the bugs are immune to, and foggers (NO ONE uses foggers anymore as they have been proven to just drive the bugs further into the wall, killing hardly any of them) and then urge you to get quarterly maintenance ($100.00) "in case" the bugs return (and this is how you string along a drug addict). Then there's the guarantee --- for 90 days they will cover the return of bugs for free. Anyone who has researched bed bugs will be able to say it with me: the bugs can hibernate for up to 12 months without feeding!!! For nearly five months after the treatment, I thought things were fairly quiet, though I know now that I was actually getting very small single bites (everyone's reaction is different). The bites got larger and more serious looking and it was evident that the problem wasn't solved, but the manager at Delmar wanted to argue with me on the phone that after that many months, I couldn't possibly still have bugs. Welp, 12 months, dude...12 months they could be there without showing their insidious marks. To top it off, my infestation started in the living room furniture, and they didn't even bother to try to sell me on couch covers that I found out later they actually did have the entire time, and would have gladly paid for at that point. We could have contained the bugs in that one area as they were caught very quickly in the beginning. Now they have spread all over the house. I've had to go with another company and the saga continues. So if you experience the depressing and painful existence of bed bugs in your house, please go with a national company, such as Ehrlich, Orkin, Terminix, etc. Anyone but these local buffoons!!!! read more

No show! Spare yourself the grief! I was told a technician would be at the job site by 3 with a 30 minute call prior. I coordinated my roofer to be there shortly after, as they couldn't complete there work due to wasps. At 3 I received a call that Delmar was NOT going to show up. On Monday, I called Delmar around 7am with a skunk stuck in my window well, I was pretty upset and freaked out! Your technician arrived at my house by 8am, he checked out the situation and immediately put me at ease. He adjusted the 2x4 that I had dropped into the window well and assured me that the skunk would be gone by morning - or he would come back. Well the skunk escaped just like he said. There is little to no communication between the management, receptionist, and technicians. We have used Delmar for 4 years and continue to have the same issues with ants, spiders, AND the staff. Either the technicians showed up before the designated time slot or didn't show up at all. I believe this was due to the receptionists inability to correctly schedule appointments. The technicians themselves, especially Freddy, were very kind and even put on the booties before entering our home. I do not believe that the issues were the techs fault, but it has caused us to cancel our service. Also it was $80 per quarterly visit AND each additional time (which was a lot because the infestations were never taken care of completely)! read more

After reading the ratings on Yelp, I decided last night to call Delmar Termite & Pest Control because the mice were having a party at my place. The next day, the technician Eric stopped by to assess the situation. Eric is clearly very knowledgeable about his profession. I couldn't believe how he climbed all through the attic crawl spaces and took pictures to present a clear assessment of the situation. All I can say is that I'm very happy with Eric. He's a great asset to his company, and from now on, if necessary, I'll call Delmar first. Great job. read more

I love Delmar, although not the reasons I have to call them. They always come when called and take care of the problem. The technicians are friendly and always explain the trouble and what they are doing. The phone representative is patient and helpful. We have inconvenienced them on more than one occasion by not being there when they come for various reasons, and they always contact us and help us reschedule. The service location is not our home which sometimes makes scheduling tricky, but they are always accomodating. They also get the job done. I recommend them highly. read more
