All the nursing staff were so kind and courteous with all their dealing and the office staff (social worker/chaplain) were excellent with answering any questions we had. The facility is amazing and clean with multiple areas for family to relax when they may need a small break. We are so thankful for the staff at Evelyn's house for easing this transition for our family.

He was in extreme horrible pain, hollering and moaning for hours & hours. The morphine they were giving him did not help-out at all with his pain. The nurse was suspose to inject the morphine in the side of his mouth towards the back, instead she injected it in the front of his mouth, causing him to aspirate (CHOKE) on it. It was absolutely one of the worst experiences of my life, and my siblings. I wouldn't never recommend this company to anyone. I got a different hospice care company for my Mom, they were great. They told me that Crossroads should have given my Dad a fentanyl patch, since the morphine wasn't working.

From day one, they pushed and pushed and pushed me to have people and services and products delivered to my house immediately. Had I not had my Mom at my house resting - as she had only had weeks to live - I guess that would have been ok. BUT to have people pushing me to come over (the nurse, the nurse's aide, the social worker, the pharmacy delivery, the chaplain, the massage person, equipment delivery person, etc., etc.) was ridiculous. I needed peace and quiet and time with my Mom - not disrupting phone calls and visits. They couldn't coordinate all these calls/people into ONE central person to get things done??? I had 6 or 7 people calling at all hours to push their way in to my house. Unbelievable. I am guessing that the more people, products, services they could push on to me--the more they could bill Medicare - and therefore the motivation was entirely profit - NOT CARE. You would think a hospice organization would have CARE as their primary goal but instead, it's a business, like any other and profit is their only motive. FURTHER MORE, and this is the icing on the cake, I CALLED THEM an hour after my Mom died to request next day pick up of the hospital bed, etc., as I did not want these things in my house any longer --understandably. The 'nurse' (?) who called me back was so rude, abrupt, uncaring and 'put out' by the fact that she had to call me back at 9pm on a Monday night that I will never ever forget this call. WORSE, she didn't even get the job done. She said she'd coordinate equipment pick up for the next day - but she didn't. I had to call AGAIN two days later to get it picked up. UNBELIEVABLE. From the day he moved here : he has made many adjustments and changes to his previous home. But, he and I are extremely thankful that I chose Sunrise-He LOVES the vast meal varieties, and tells me how much he loves the delicious chef prepared meals He is definitely independent, especially at 90 yrs. young. One of the best aspects that I like about sunrise Senior living is the staff's encouragement for their residents to remain as independent as they are able to. Another huge plus is that they allowed him to bring his pets with him! This has been a blessing knowing that they are so accommodating to each individuals needs. Jamie , the Executive Director is a constant source of encouragement and knowledge. Nathan, the Resident Coordinator, is super nice and gets to know Bob & others as a great friend to them ! Kim , who is the BEST, Director of nurses! She is THE MOST COMPASSIONATE, & Genuinely CARING person She goes above & beyond for your loved one! Kudos, Kim! Brandon is Chief of office , but he's so much more than that. He fills in every where he is needed. Hats off to all of the wonderful employees here at sunrise Senior living From the moment you walk into the beautiful lobby, you are greeted with warm and welcoming smiles! There's so many fantastic people who have cheery dispositions and they know you by name! Ann, who is always happy to help-, she has been licensed to be an excellent caregiver, as well! Silas is also multitasking at the concierge, days- he exemplifies excellent people skills and he is just fantastic ! Very kind & Eager to help, not only people calling on the phone and entering into the center; but he is always taking the time to know each and every resident . He helps them with whatever need or request that they may have. There are so many wonderful employees that fill in at the front desk -that are very reassuring and kind hearted individuals. Maria and Jodi have a very full schedule for the activities department, which I personally think is a favorite. Residents are free to choose from a variety of healthy and fun games or outings . They do an excellent job! I wish I could name each employee personally and thank them : for all the times that I needed their help or help for My dear uncle. The staff who are the actual caregivers get to know you by name and everyone smiles and greets you . I am very pleased with choosing sunrise of Chesterfield! I can relax knowing that his laundry is being done once a week and his room has been cleaned , also once a week; which makes him very pleased. I love the fact that it is so beautiful inside and out & we are able to feed the birds with our own birdfeeders . The residents enjoy looking at the beautiful variety of colorful birds outside of their windows. Lastly, I have to commend the staff who are making sure our family member will be safe, happy & loved They are open from 8 am to 8 pm ( great job, evening concierge staff) Sarah, so sweet, Jodi, kind , Ann , awesome-THANK U, & Silas, irreplaceable, all working together perfectly Please forgive me if I've accidentally left someone's name out. She been in there care 4 days and didn't get no medicine from them. I had to call 4 times and on that 4 call that person got a cussing that you wouldn't believe. That's is how I finally just got the morphine only. And has of today she been in there care 6 days now. I would have gave them a worse but that's the lowest it go. So if you care for your family members don't use CARIS.

Brittany, who bathed Mom over the last 6 months, was loved by Mom and it was clear that Brittany loved our Mom as well. When Mom passed away, Beth was just super - coming to us immediately after Mom passed away in the middle of the night - and taking care of many things we were not in condition to handle. The Chaplain, whose name I can not remember was wonderful. She was very supportive and comforting. Thank you so much!
