What can I say about this place other than that it is a must visit. Brought me straight back to France with the lovely atmosphere, great service and classic dishes like moules mariniere + frites (mussels with white wine sauce/chips) available we just had to check it out. We were lucky to have fluked the last table for two on a night where everywhere else was jam packed, had great waiters who were there each time the water glass was close to empty and who were genuinely interested in our dining experience throughout, were there whenever we needed, but were also not invasive!
Went for the duck rillete and the pork meatballs in blue cheese sauce for starters (starters begin from around $5-15) with a whole selection of other things catching my eye that I must try next time! And for mains I got the steak with fries as I was feeling like something really earthy and fulfilling. The food was absolutely stunning, paired with a lovely Spanish Alicante bouschet/mataro for drinks I couldn't have been more happy come the end of the service. For under $60 each my friend and I were able to indulge in starters, a main course (he got the pork belly-which was also amazing) and a great bottle of wine, and left with full stomachs and a willingness to tell whoever would listen about this place! Would be an awesome restaurant to bring a first date, super impressed, we will be back! read more
