Update on this place, I finally had to walk and find another Dentist. The Dentist and hygienist are great but the front office is the worst!! Every single time I show up they put you in a bad mood. Either they come up with a new charge or paper work to fill out, may sound small but it's every single time you walk In and so unprofessional. I will not return.

Back right tooth that shows how it's pushing on 5!4 membrane they were worried about & all my dental work

I have to say I'm beyond impressed with this facility from start to finish. If you see my reviews on other dentists in the area I really have not been happy with the services in the local area. I have an autoimmune disorder and finding a dentist or oral surgeon that understands rare disease is truly a rare find! I highly recommend them for oral surgery, my healing has been a breeze. I have only had to take ibuprofen because of the minimal amount of pain. My story: I spoke with the treatment coordinator Estela who was extremely understanding of my situation and worked with my schedule. When I arrived I was so afraid they were going to tell me that I'm too complex of a case and I would just waste my time and money. The front desk wasn't sure how to handle it and Estela pulled me aside to discuss my situation again as well as Dr Ponce and both assured me they were going to be able to help me with my broken molar. I went to this facility because I read that not only Dr Ponce & Dr Vargas had over 25 years experience but they both studied at UCLA. I had my normal xrays of the panoramic of my teeth done and Dr Vargas came in and said yep that tooth definitely needs to come out. I said okay but the multiple dentists I have seen in Las Vegas area are worried about rupturing the membrane in the back to the sinus canal with my autoimmune disorder. His reaction was basically the same as my regular dentist which is in Colorado as this is pretty cut and dry not to worry. The best part was they could take it out right then and on that day! This has been almost a year of me searching to find a local dentist to do his procedure. I had an oral surgeon in Colorado that could do it but in case of a complication they wanted me to do it locally. I waited to write this review because I had to get crowns put on by my dentist in Colorado and wanted her to take a look at the work because I felt it was healing really well but wanted the confirmation from someone who has been working on me for years. She said yes they did a great job! I'm happy you finally found a place locally. Especially since she might retire soon and I do need to find someone local. Thank you Dr Vargas for making this truly pain free & simple!

I am so swollen, they were NOT "gentle dental".

MY FIRST AND ONLY BAD REVIEW ***PLEASE READ*** 1. Made me wait almost 2 hours before I was called back, even though I had an appointment and was the only person there. (Take away a star) 2. The nurse was not very friendly and I could over hear the nurses joking around with each other as I sat there in pain. (Take away a star) 3. Not only were they not gentle but probably the toughest anybody has ever been to me. Violently looking through my mouth with no regard for pain. When I started to clinch up from pain the doctor told me to "man up"! I couldn't believe it! (Take away a star) 4. Before they started surgery, they brought me in my bill and charged me before they started. I've never had this happen and it gave me an impression of dishonest charging. 5. They sent me on my way then called me to come back because they forgot to write me a prescription! Unbelievable. (Take away a star) 6. I would have left it alone but the reason why I'm doing this is because the nurse said to me as I leave "make sure you give us 5 stars on yelp". I was so insulted they asked that. It made me do my first negative review. Stay away from this dentist, worst experience of my life. And to be honest I'm still in a lot of pain and have made a new dentist appt just to make sure I'm ok.

I don't know HOW to put into words how this doctor was worth every single cent but I'm going to try. So I called around the valley to ask for surgeons. Most of them brushed me off with very little detail especially because considering that this is surgery, it could be very expensive. Most places ignored me and said "you'll have to come in to find out how much your procedure will be with your insurance". That's crazy. Who has the time to go from office to office to get an estimate AND pay for a consult?? Anyway I stumbled onto a doctor AND a dental surgeon, UCLA grad, in Summerlin-- Dr. Letelier. Granted, a bit far away from my house but so worth it. Immediately upon calling, I spoke to MEMO. Incredibly kind, knowledgeable, gave me an estimate right away and scheduled my partner for an IMMEDIATE appt. Surgery day: could not have gone better. EVERY SINGLE PERSON working there was so so so nice!!! The doctor was incredible and put my partner at ease. My partner texted me and said "Thank you for finding him for me! I'm not so scared about this procedure anymore" right before they sedated him. The practice was beautiful, professional, and clean. My partner has been raving about this practice since picking him up. Bonus? The out of pocket price (after my insurance) came down so much lower than estimated/quoted. They kept finding ways to add discounts. WOW. WOW. WOW. INCREDIBLE!!!! So grateful.

The care I get is phenomenal. Their pricing is better than anybody else that I have happened to come across. I have had a couple of different procedures done especially replacing an implant and a bridge. It was something that nobody else was willing to touch and when I first met her on my first visit she didn't even hesitate to say yes and I am super glad that she did because she did amazing work. Each time I have gone in there for my regular visits and getting some different procedures done along with my cleanings the care I get is so above and beyond I couldn't ask for more. They do a great job making sure that I am comfortable and that I don't have any pain during my visit (which is super important to me because I have tender gums and I always need topical) Thank you thank you thank you for such a great experience every time I go in there. With all the growth we have all over the valley there are dentist offices in almost every plaza so if there's a problem at one office a patient has a ton of choices to pick from to go someplace else so it's super important that if they want a patient/customer to return then they have to earn it. Well at Delicate Dental I absolutely 1000% recommend this office and the entire staff and Dr Reyes. I wouldn't go anywhere else at all! Thank you thank you thank you

A girl named Rebekah spoke to me, and bless her heart, she just didn't seem to know anything, including how to spell my name over quite a few attempts of me telling her. She was not helpful and left me feeing frustrated with her demeanor. I left over 5 messages. Not only for the appointment scheduler, Renee, but also for the supervisor. Yes, I did ask to speak to a supervisor because I grew frustrated with not receiving a phone call back from Renee. I spoke to Rebekah three times and then I spoke to another lady who I can't remember the name of. (SHE was very helpful). But even after this, I never got a return call. Ridiculous. Apparently the supervisor made it very clear that I wasn't a priority and she did not want to speak to me or care for my concerns. She NEVER returned my calls, neither did Renee, and everytime I called in to ask to speak to her (5 times), she blew me off and I was told she was "in a meeting". If this is how they treat new patients, I can't imagine they would be very good at caring for my health and well being. I'd look elsewhere and find a dentist and staff that truly care about you and your concerns or even giving you something as basic as an appointment. Don't waste your time.

Subject: Formal Complaint Regarding Communication Failures and Improper Cancellation of Scheduled…read moreProcedure I am sharing this publicly as a mother who cannot tolerate the negligence shown by this dental office. I have full proof of emails and documentation to support my experience. Speaking to them is like trying to explain the ABCs and numbers to someone--they simply cannot comprehend basic communication. On January 23, my son was seen for a consultation with Dr. Degan. X-rays revealed that a retained baby tooth needed extraction before his scheduled orthodontic brackets on January 30. This extraction was time-sensitive for proper orthodontic treatment. An appointment for extraction under anesthesia was scheduled for February 13. During the scheduling process, I felt rushed through paperwork and was not provided with full information. Despite repeated requests for anesthesiologist contact information to discuss questions about my son's care, the office repeatedly told me the anesthesiologist would only call the day before the procedure. After many attempts, I was finally able to speak with the anesthesiologist, who addressed all my questions and confirmed the procedure was cleared. Despite this, I was later informed that the appointment could not proceed because the office mistakenly reported that I had canceled it. As a result, the procedure was postponed, and no new date could initially be confirmed. At no point did I request to cancel the appointment. My concerns were solely about ensuring my son's safety and understanding the procedure. Miscommunication by the office caused unnecessary delay and stress. The negligence toward a child is deeply disturbing. Parents, especially those with children who have special needs, please be cautious when considering this practice. Misunderstandings here can have real consequences for a child's health and treatment. I am extremely grateful to my son's dentist and his orthodontist and their staff, whose responsiveness and efficiency expedited the referral and ensured my son could be seen sooner, helping to prevent further delay in his treatment. I hope there will be consequences for their undue actions and unprofessional behavior, as this level of negligence should not be ignored. I will continue to post, repost, and share my concerns with those I know who need care. Although this practice claims to prioritize safety and comfort, my experience indicates that it has not consistently met these standards. When I spoke with the office staff, I felt dismissed. Communicating during this process felt like driving into constant road rage--every attempt to explain myself was cut off before my point could be understood. When I spoke with the anesthesiologist, the conversation felt clear, direct, and reassuring. Questions were addressed efficiently, and we were able to understand each other in a straightforward way. It wasn't complicated. In contrast, interactions with the office staff and manager have felt rushed and procedural and requests for clarification or support seemed to be dismissed. This approach doesn't align with effective patient care. There's a noticeable difference between communication that supports understanding and engagement, and communication that simply goes through the motions. Clear, patient-centered communication makes a significant difference, and I hope this can be better reflected in the office experience. Many reviews mention that communication is key--and I wasn't surprised. The staff and manager lack it. It felt like walking into a swap meet: minimal explanation, abrupt offers, and little clarity. I didn't understand much of what was being said. In the end, I'm glad we didn't proceed with the procedure. There's no winning or losing here--it'a about patient safety and comfort. Fabrication and false claims about cancellation are serious matters and should be taken into consideration! I don't understand why something so simple--being able to speak with the anesthesiologist to ask questions or address concerns--has to be so difficult. It's not a major medical issue; it's just basic communication, and patients should be able to do this easily. By posting your business on Yelp, you acknowledge that the platform exists for people to post reviews and respond to others' feedback. "Despite decades of education and experience--beginning with his studies and career at NYU in 2003--what value does it hold if the only people you rely on are those you hire? I stand by my words as true and valid, because nothing is more important than my child. When a parent is not allowed to ask questions about the treatment process, it goes beyond mere oversight; it represents a fundamental failure to provide appropriate care from the very start." "How can they remain so calm and assured, as if nothing could stop them from mistreating others? Any values they may have once held seem meaningless compared to and false assurances they continue to provide."

I consider myself an expert dental patient; especially with the various dental work I've had done. We know our stuff in this family. Especially with my aunt in the industry for 47 years; and two other family members in the industry since the 1960's themselves. I've had my fair share of different dentists and oral surgeons. I am SO happy and pleased with my experience with Dr. Degan and his office!!!He has a great and comforting demeanor. After our first visit, I was confident I'd be in good hands. And felt there was trust there and knowledge and he had expert and gentle hands. (Important)! And he is passionate about what he does. Even more important. Ang, (I think she may be the office manager?) she made my appointment and really was TOP notch! She cares about the patients, their needs, answers their questions, is considerate of their time. And has a lovely bedside manner. Martn, the anesthesiologist was calming, kind, gentle, and caring. I was so nervous about anesthesia and he had me feeling good and calm, before I even sat in the down! Got me a warm blanket and was again wonderful. The nurse that helped me from the chair, personally walked me to the waiting room, after my oral surgery. I feel so blessed to have found this office. I'm off to take my "emergence-c" daily now (this is what I personally always do after a procedure. As it has helped me heal much faster). That's my personal tip.

I'm not a fan of most dentist. But I have to give them a 2 this time because I was so disappointed. I went in specifically to tell them that with my anxiety the doctor sent me in because I was tapping and grinding my teeth during the day. I asked if there was anything I could use to not tap so hard. The lady suggested a night guard even though I told her that's mainly during the day. She said I could also wear it during the day.( not true if you look at how thick it is) so then when I went back I said that the night guard is working OK at night but do they have any suggestions for the daytime. She said that what I should do is get their custom made retainer for the daytime. She said it even feel so comfortable, that a lot of people wear it at night. She said they would quote me for the retainer one this time and it was $400. So I was like wait so I spent $400 on a night guard which I can't wear during the the day, and now I have to spend another $400 for a retainer for the day that a lot of people wear overnight.
