We truly were pleased with the work PHRGMC performed to replace our old and hazardous deck. The…read morequote provided was reasonable. Mike and Shannon were professional and presented a copy of the signed contract from both parties. After the deposit was paid they tore down the old deck, removed the debris and finished the project in 3 days. There were some weather delays before this, but they also communicated well and responded to our requests and inquiries in a timely fashion. We found them on facebook and would highly recommend this company for deck installations at a fair price.

This is sad to say because I don't want to hurt their business but if you are looking to do business with them ask them why they don't pay their subs. If he says anything negative about my company feel free to call me and I will tell you the truth.

We were also in the process of removing all the wood paneling from the walls and tearing up the carpet, and he offered to take that project on as well. He provided a very fair quote, maybe even not high enough, and worked hard every day with his team to get the job done in a timely manner. He even uncovered several other problems during the process and his team fixed those as well at a fair price. The new drywall, painting, and flooring all looks great!

The owner accused me of phishing them and ignored my calls to explain that the pictures and list of items was being firewalled. Owner then was semi-combative. I tried sending them via personal email but the damage was done. The business owner does not know how to properly communicate and made false accustations about my intentions on work during the estimate process. Jim was honest and told us that the window was not bad and even suggested I could recaulk it as I am a DYI type person even telling me the best type of caulk to use. For the bathroom, he was very thorough in asking us questions and making suggestions, but not being pushy. Very pleasant to talk and work with. After 4 different contractors we eventually chose a different one based on what we felt was the best fit. Jim gave reasonable prices and even caught a potential issue two of the other contractors missed. He followed up when we told him we were expecting to make a decision and didn't get mad when I informed him we had not chosen his company. We had a great conversation with him after we gave him the bad news and he was understanding. We will definitely keep his number handy for future projects.

I contracted with this company to build a 3 season room on my existing deck and then add a new deck. He was given a deposit so he could add the project on his schedule and then 2 1/2 months later he requested money si he can start purchasing materials for the project. For the next 7 months after he received the payment for the materials he continued to have excuse after excuse why the project hasn't been started/finished. At that point I canceled the project completely and requested a full refund. He claimed not to have any of the money I gave him and that he would need to pay me back over the next 7 months. He made 1 payment and then reneged on the 2nd. He then decided to take this to a judge in Kane County since that's the county I dwell in, because now he can't pay me the amount he originally agreed upon. Court date is coming up next month.
