If you like a good greasy cheesesteak, it's not a bad visit. If you find yourself at the Carolina Place Mall, and want to have some decent (but not necessarily awesome) food, Charleys Cheesesteaks is an option worth checking out. I skipped the fries, that regular size cheesesteak was plenty of food. In other words, the portions are HUGE! Remember, it's a food court, not a fine dining establishment.

This is not a place that you come to for the ambience, but if you want solid wings, you're in the right place. They have an abundance of flavors, the classic sauces and all the sides you can imagine. I really liked that you could get a half order on the sides too. The ladies serving were working hard, but you didn't wait for anything. I would say, if you're coming here for a game, I'd get there early - there's not a ton of seats.

I met some friends at DD Peckers for a fun night of storytelling, laughter, drinks, and wings. It…read morewas a seven-stars-out-of-five experience. Out of the four of us, I was the only one who hadn't been here before. It's a long-standing, no-frills wing shack/sports-bar hybrid in south Charlotte that's built a loyal following around one thing: serious wings. There are other things on the menu--but unless you want an appetizer or something alongside your wings, ignore them--the wings are the main event. Their website claims 25 flavors, and if you order more than one set of five, you can sample more than one. I went with ten wings: mild Buffalo and lemon pepper. Everyone recommended the lemon pepper wings. These are not a dry rub; they're a wet, glossy toss--and they are OUTSTANDING. I'm hooked. The Buffalo wings were on par with the best versions of the classic style. They provide celery sticks with blue cheese or ranch dressing--I chose blue cheese--and it was a great accompaniment. We also had their Spicy Onion Rings as an appetizer before we ordered the wings. The onion itself brings natural sweetness and mild sharpness (especially when hot), while the batter/coating is where the personality lives: savory, slightly salty, and well-seasoned. DD Peckers' spicy onion rings are essentially a classic crispy onion ring elevated with a peppery seasoning--where the heat enhances the onion's natural sweetness rather than overpowering it. They have a great selection of craft beers and ciders and offer a full bar. Most of us had Olde Mecklenburg Brewery Copper, a local Charlotte beer. I had two bottles of Bold Rock Hard Apple Cider, which paired well with both the onion rings and the wings, along with a glass of Olde Mecklenburg Copper in between. Our waitress was attentive, fun, and efficient. She kept everything moving seamlessly, and all of our needs were met exceptionally. We all tipped her well. The food and drink here are quite a bargain--especially considering how iconic this restaurant is and how delicious their wings are. A great night with friends, good drinks, and incredible wings--what could be better?

The value is hard to beat, especially considering how large the pizza slices are. The pizza was flavorful and satisfying. It was a little greasier than usual today, but still very good. The fries were hot and fresh, making for a quick and filling lunch. One thing I appreciate about Tony's is the consistency. Their pizza is always good, and I've also enjoyed several other menu items over the years. Their salads are fresh, the mozzarella sticks are delicious, and the chicken wings are definitely worth trying. The atmosphere is casual and comfortable, with TVs throughout the restaurant. During my visit, they had a soccer match on, which added to the relaxed vibe. I arrived around 1:00 PM after the lunch rush, so it wasn't crowded at all. They also offer outdoor seating, which is a nice option when the weather is nice. If you're in the Ballantyne area and looking for a fast, affordable, and reliable lunch spot, Tony's Pizza is a great choice. Good food, reasonable prices, and a welcoming atmosphere make this a place I'll continue coming back to. Recommended: Pizza lunch special, mozzarella sticks, chicken wings, and salads.

She is AMAZING and super sweet. I came in today and was "greeted" (meaning he didn't say a word the whole interaction) by a bald man with a tattoo by his ear. He did not say "hi" or "how can I help" you or anything. Just started at me. I told him my order and before I could finish speaking (I needed to show him I was also purchasing a drink) he put my order in and walked away before I could even get the rest of my order out of my mouth. He immediately walked to the back. I did not pay because I was waiting to get his attention to let him know he still needed to ring up the drink and that he only rung up the bagel. He finally looked my way from the back and said "you can tap to pay" and then immediately turned around so he was unable to see or hear me raise the drink up and say "you didn't ring up the drink". Luckily the kind woman was in the front and took care of me. I hate giving a negative review because I love the lady with the red hair, but the other man was terrible.

My son hadn't been to this location before, but the food must have been fantastic because he was almost done eating before we left the parking lot!! They have a touch tunes juke box and I wasn't happy that when we would play music on it, the owner would skip through the songs if he didn't like it. I didn't appreciate that as I had paid money to hear the music. At least refund what I paid if you don't want it to play in your restaurant. (To clarify, the music didn't have any bad words. It just didn't fit their Billy Joel and Jimmy Buffet vibe) I am looking forward to going back for $1 wings. You can check their website or app for their daily specials.
