I experience a major service failure today. After paying for my purchase, I loaded my order into my car. The cashier approached my car and asked me to come back inside because something was miss-rang. Sure, no problem. Turns out I owed them $65 (!!) because there were 5 6-pack credits at the top of my order which were not mine. No offer of a discount or anything to make it right. What if I would have already left? I learned my lesson and have a recommendation for everybody as they leave... WALK FASTER! That is outrageous! Isn't water normally like $3 or $4 bucks for a case? Maybe I am way off here but I thought that was crazy. Not only that, but this place is chocked full of really bizzare things like bald eagle t-shirts, earrings, and incense. SUPER weird and also not very clean. Every thing was kind of grimy. Collett's is small and well laid out, so getting in and out without getting lost in endless towering aisles, is fast and simple. The prices are very good and infact, lower (on certain items)lower than most major retailers. While walking around, I noticed the Bombay Sapphire was overpriced and shrugged it off, when the owner tapped me on the shoulder and asked me if he could assist me. I mentioned the price seemed high, he clearly laid out that the reason was the new law passed by the Gov. of higher % of tax was now being applied (to liquor items. Makes sense, yet he still lowered the price anyway for me. On another return trip, I was buying cigarettes for a friend, as I do not smoke, so I asked for the brand and type my friend does smoke. They did not carry the soft pack version, yet the owner told me he would order them next time, if I would like. The owner basically excused himself from a prior conversation to assist me again, when he had ample staff.. Those two experiences tell me all I need to know about this operation: They Highly Value their customers and go above and beyond the normal to service them.
