We ordered medium spice, but it was very mild. The lamb was not trimmed of fat as well as usual and was not as tender. The rice and samosas were OK, but the naan was undercooked and soggy. Having been a huge supporter of this restaurant up u til now, I hope this was a one-off, but if this is an example of what to expect going forward I will be looking for another restaurant.

It was a bit over a 20 minute walk from the touristy area (think Cliffton Hill), it was filled with people, and we felt very safe. We ordered lamb curry, butter chicken, and chicken tikka masala, as well as naan and a lassi mango drink. Everything was delicious! We asked for medium spice and it had a little bit of a kick to it. I learned that my preference should be chicken over lamb because chicken allows the flavors to really shine, while the lamb competes a bit for attention. The naan was exactly what we needed to sop up the sauce, and the rice was absolutely perfect: light and fluffy. In addition to being absolutely delicious, I want to shout out this business for their kindness. A few homeless folks stepped in, asked for a plate, and stepped outside to wait. The gentleman who was at the counter simply nodded. They proceeded to put together a set of to go boxes with food for each person who asked. It was a simple process, not disruptive to anyone eating at the restaurant, and an extremely intentional act of kindness for their community. The food here is incredibly flavorful, and we loved sharing each other's entrees. My favorite meal was the goat curry and the garlic naan. The mango lassi is also the perfect complement. They did warn us before ordering some meals that the food would be spicy, but I didn't think there was anything that was too spicy for me. The servers are also super friendly, and our meals came out quickly. The next time we're visiting the falls, we'll make sure to stop by!!
