With the state of of all of our finances at the moment it's not very often we get to indulge in a fine-dining experience. But thanks to a good mate who is doing all right for himself I was treated to a night out at Delhi 6 Indian Restaurant in Streetly.
To say I was impressed is an understatement. The service was professional, the decor is modern, the atmosphere was relaxing. The food was to die for. The chefs, clearly, came from a fine dining training school and expertly fuse flavours from all over the indian subcontinent with local producers to create a taste unknown to my pallet before. I had Salmon Dil Tikka to start. A fillet of Salmon marinated with hung yogurt, chaat Masala, ginger garlic paste, served with mixed baby leaves and honey mustard sauce. £5.95.
For my main I had to go for Kadhu Gosht. Marinated strip loin of beef with ginger, garlic, ground cumin, cooked in lucknowi marrow, cardamom and mace gravy, served with pumpkin masala. £14.95, delicious. read more
