This del taco is the closest location to me and they are open late. I feel like del taco is underrated. I think their tacos are decent and they have decent deals (like 3 tacos for $1.09 certain days). Like most fast foods places in downtown/midtown, this location is pretty ghetto and has questionable people outside sometimes. I saw a 2 guys fighting in the street when I was in the drive through one time and one of the guys pepper sprayed the other. Cops showed up after a few minutes. The service is decent. I never had issues, but for fast food, I don't expect crazy good service. The food itself is still good. They usually have good deals for lent. Used the app for decent deals if you can. read more

The company got bought out earlier this year for pennies on the dollar and the new corporate owner has raised all there prices recently and are giving you lower quality and quantity food now in my last few experiences with this and other locations! The macho combo burrito used to be so big I could only eat half of it, now its almost the same size as there regular burritos but cost almost $8 now! Deltaco was my favorite and now there right down there with taco bell of "I will never go there again" Ill just make my own macho combo burritos at home now and at a fraction of the cost and they are way better tasting! read more

I still love Del Taco, but after last night, I'm questioning if I'll return to this location or at all. We ordered ahead on the app and when we arrived at the drive-thru, we had to tell the young girl inside our name at least 4 times before she understood what my husband was saying - she even asked if maybe we meant to say a different name...?! Once we got that situation figured out, the line to get our food took way too long. I joked with my husband that they must be making our food fresh to order because it shouldn't be taking this long. Our order was correct when we got home, but I ordered the 3 Layer Queso Nachos and there was one glob of beans, no cheese and a tiny bit of their green salsa. I threw it away and ended up eating one of their Grilled Chicken Tacos, but even the taco didn't taste right. We pulled up to the speaker at the K street location and on my behalf my son asked if they had unsweetened ice tea. The man working there said they did and asked what size, my son responded "We will take it with a number 4 (Steak taco combo). The man asked "Are you ordering an ice tea." My son responded "We'll have it with a number 4?" then we heard a condescending "Helllloooo?" I leaned over from the passenger side and said "We are going to have it with a number 4." there was a short pause and the employee responded "I'm not serving you!" and cut us off. We pulled to the window and when the man opened the window I asked him "We would just like to know why we are being denied service." He immediately slammed the window shut and refused to return to the window, we tried waiting but he immediately got on his phone as if he was going to call the cops on us. I understand miscommunications can occur between customers and employees, but this employee behaved in the most unprofessional manner. Whatever personal issues he was having, does not entitle him to behave so uncouthly towards complete strangers. Upon reading other reviews, this was not an isolated incident. This was hands down the worst food I have ever received from Del Taco--ever. I normally go out of my way for this location, which makes this even more disappointing. I literally drove from Antelope, CA all the way to downtown Sacramento because I usually trust this Del Taco. Yesterday's experience was so bad that I felt like I had no choice but to leave a review. My tacos were short--there was barely any meat in them at all, like almost completely empty. Paying for tacos and opening them to find no meat is ridiculous. On top of that, the food was cold, poorly made, and tasted nothing like Del Taco should. Everything felt rushed and careless, like quality control just didn't matter. When you're driving that far and spending your money, the bare minimum should be properly made food. This wasn't it. I've never had an experience this bad at this location before, but if this is how things are going now, something definitely needs to be addressed. christmas day 2024 @6:15pm, I clearly ordered a chipotle asada burrito, the double burger and one street taco. I get to the window and they only got me down for the taco and the burrito. I kindly ask them to add the burger to my oder at the window since it was clearly communicated and acknowledged by the person on the intercom. She tells me that its not their fault they didnt get it down and that id have to come back around to the end of line since there was a long line or go inside to order the burger. I calmly declined since it was absolutely their fault they did not get my order correct. I decided to just leave because the lady was also rude about the situation and I was very reasonable and polite. I recommend you dont come here. Employees are rude and not smart. Clearly overworked and ungrateful. She could have added the burger to my order like it was communicated over the intercom and had me wait in the parking lot then brought it out. Just ate here the other day at lunch time. Del Taco is usually my go-to fast food mexican spot. This place was Ga-rosssss. Odered 2 crucnchy Del Tacos. They were rubbery, greasy, nasty things that looked like they came from Jimboys - minus the parmesan cheese coating. The grease from each taco was thru the wrapper and showing grease spots thru the bag less than 5 minutes down the road. Also, there was no lettuce or tomatoes on either taco. Just a blob of greasy meat substance and and a block of cheese. I also ordered a couple of bean and cheese burritos. Not that I really expect much from a fast food establishment down the street from the hospital and ramped with surrounding unhoused individuals. However, the soda machines are out of commission, probably to people helping themselves. The chairs are completely ran down and ripping. I approached the counter right after walking in to order my food. I'm a fan of Taco Bell. In my few experiences, Del Taco has yet to meet the already very low bar set by their competitor. I've only been to this location twice and each time they have gotten my order completely wrong. I'm a simple guy. Give me a bean and cheese burrito or anything with beef in it and call it a day. On my last visit I must have gotten someone else's bag because not a single thing I ordered was inside. I thought about going back and complaining, but the line during COVID was just not worth the wait. I begrudgingly ate food I wasn't too excited about in the first place and it was sloppily assembled and not at all tasty. Went here a couple of days ago. Turned into the parking lot from Alhambra on the way to the drive thru. On the side of the building (north side) there is a sign advertising their pork tacos (forget the exact name) at a price of two for 4 bucks. So decide to go that direction for myself and daughter doing the same thing. Ordered at the drive thru window. Price for six should have been about 13 dollars. But they told me like around $16.50. When I got to the window to pay, questioned the girl about the price. She said the machine rings it up a 2 for 4.99. Tell her about the advertised price on the other side of the building. Says nothing she can do. Later in the conversations she tells me I am not the first one to talk to her about this issue. But again says nothing she can do. Paid the money as we were committed in terms of time we had to eat. Feel totally screwed. Not the way to run a business. One their prices for certain things are ridiculous for the size which I found out by ordering their deluxe chili fries not worth six dollars and in general the food was disgusting the chili tasted extremely off like it's hard to explain but something that doesn't belong in your mouth and food was cold lastly the chicken wrap was dry as hell like come on now how stingy can you be with condiments that are replaced frequently I'm sure of. I went to Del Taco this evening to order some food. I experienced horrible service this evening. My brother was having a difficult time making his order and I was trying my best to to confuse the employee. She gave me a total at the drive through and I was trying to tell her I wanted an additional deluxe chili cheese however I believe the mic was cut off. I get to the window and make the change and when I told her she did not acknowledge me, but she did turn around to her staff and said "He made another change." Then she sent another worker to complete my order and refused to speak to me. Needless to say I did not accept the order and drove off. I have never been treated like that by an employee. I get that these type of situations can be frustrating, but I deserved better service than I received. Please do better. read more

I have been a customer here since I was a little girl living in Midtown. Now that I am an adult and living in East Sac, I still go to this Del Taco. I love how this Del Taco has recently been remodeled. It is so clean inside the restaurants. The booths and tables are modern and comfortable. There is also wifi at this location. You can self serve at the soda machine and if you need sauce, it is always stocked with each one of the sauce flavors. Whether it is through the drive thru or going inside, I have always found that the customer service is good. They are fast and efficient. The food is good. There is plenty of parking surrounding the restaurant on both sides of the building. Also, they have an app so go check it out for more deals! read more

While I have always enjoyed my del taco since I was a kid and my mom would take me when we went out, one on one, I truly believe this location is incapable of making an order correctly. I have gone numerous times since it's on my way home from work and never once gotten a correct order. Todays most recent was chicken tacos when I had ordered steak; but there have been many other issues from having onions in my order when specifically requested not to, all the way to receive someone else's order entirely. This was literally the worst service I have ever had at any fast food place. I work nights and me and my bf came here around 3. The man at the window was so high out of his brain. Our order was taken and it took us like 15 minutes to get to the window. We thought maybe they were short staffed but as soon as we seen the dude he was completely gone. He kept sticking his entire head out of the window looking back and fourth every couple minutes while we was at the window. He handed us a drink and a bag after about 10 minutes. We noticed stuff missing and we let him know and he asked us for the receipt that he never gave us. We told him he didn't give it to us and we was missing multiple items. He shakes his head no. And then proceeds to ask my bf if he knows him and if he knows who used to work there. He told him no and he asked about three more times. We tried to get our missing items and he kept just staring at us shaking his head. I was actually scared of how he was acting. We just drove off without our items. 30 dollars down the drain. I know that it's night shift but he was so on he didn't even know where he was. It was scary. I will never in my life come to this location again. I didn't even want to eat the food he did give us because he stuck his hand in our fries. Well I had some business downtown and my wife and I went to this location. It was about 5:30pm on 1/25/2023. We walked up and tried to enter the building but for some reason the door was locked, we could see the drive thru was open so we knew it was open. One of the employees was pointing towards something but I have no idea what. Anyways we packed up in our car and went elsewhere. Ridiculous that at dinner time the restaurant wasn't open.
