Del Taco closed about 6 months ago. I remember it from when I lived in Orlando. It was our "go-to" for late night food after closing our favorite clubs read more

We had an early lunch and knew it would be a late dinner before we got to the condo and picked up groceries, so we stopped here for a quick bite in the car in the road. There weren't many people in line, but it took forever to order/get our food. Don't stop here if you are wanting something quick! The food was decent - we got two chicken tacos and nachos to split. The nachos were hard to eat in the car but we made do - would maybe pick something different to eat while driving! read more

I opted for fast food because I was in a hurry and I ultimately chose Del Taco because I had not had Del Taco in forever. You order at kiosks now, so you don't have that interaction until they call your name. My food did seem to take longer than most fast-food places, but it was pretty busy. The inside and outside are both bright and cheerful. I had two Del tacos and a chicken and guacamole taco. The chicken taco was my preferred one. For what it is, Del Taco was a decent choice and wasn't far off of Interstate 10. read more

Del Taco - Tacos Near Me - DeFuniak Springs, Florida

Ok, so Del Taco seems to generally get a bad rap around the US but the new location in Defuniak Springs does not fit this narrative. Kind and courteous staff, very clean, and most importantly GREAT FOOD! There Fresh stuffed tacos seems twice the size of other taco chains and remind me more of a 6 inch stuffed sub sandwich in a crispy shell! Conveniently located just off 10 its a great place to stop even if your just passing through! Well done Defuniak location. Keep up the great work! read more

Well, that was disappointing. Was looking forward to some yummy Del Taco on our way back home and it was just meh. The server at the counter was super sweet so let's start there. She was helpful and friendly. The food on the other hand, not so good. The fries were lukewarm and under salted. My carne asade tacos were chewy and the flavor was odd. My hubby had regular tacos and the beef was just ok. He said it was good for him. He was disappointed in the fries also. Bummer as this was our go to stop on the way back from traveling west. read more

The last time I saw a Del Taco was in L.A. probably 20 years ago, so I was thrilled when I spotted this brand new location on the side of the highway. I used the drive-thru and the tacos were just as crisp and delicious as I remember! Please open more locations ! read more

First, the people working there are great but the food is horrible in more ways than one. We have occasionally stopped at Taco Bell if we are on a long drive. When Del Taco opened in Defuniak, I was interested in trying it as a better Taco Bell. Boy, was I wrong. The tortilla was way undercooked and the taco and burrito filling was incredibly salty. I think it was the super cheap cheese. The hot sauce was completely tasteless. Then my wife found out the saturated fat in Del Taco was almost twice that in the same items at Taco Bell. Not going back. read more

Del Taco just redid their menu and prices. They no longer have Tuesday or Thursday specials. They are just as expensive as Taco bell and more expensive and considerably slower than Waffle House . Just took 15. Minutes for a small order. read more

After eating Taco Bell the last few years, we saw this place after remembering how good it was in California. Let me tell ya! Stop here for the best fast food tacos! Just puts everyone else to shame! The freshness of the ingredients and the size of tacos and burritos will make me not ever want to eat Taco Bell again! Del Taco please come to Foley Alabama or New Orleans Louisiana! read more

Food was decent but there were 3 employees and only one order ahead of us and it took over 15 mins. The workers moved like sloths. When I asked after 10 mins they gave me attitude and replied with'"we are doing the best we can." Their best is definitely not good enough for fast food. read more

Excellent food and excellent service. Brand new and super clean. We haven't had Del Taco in such a long time. They are so hard to find. It tasted just as we remembered it. read more

The rudest service ever!! Dont waste your time or money!! Over priced slop!! No wonder no one was there, I dont understand why they hire such rude staff. read more

I ordered 2 carne asada tacos, 1 hamburger, 2 regular drinks for $15. The price is wonderful, I couldn't believe it !! The tacos were good. But, a bit too spicy, and very small!! My husband said the burger was good. But, small ! The service was good. But, the woman on the speaker was a bit rude. The place is nice, because it looks brand new. Again, the prices are great. But, I just wish the portions were bigger. read more

I like me some Del Taco.. but a recent drive thru the new Defuniak Springs store left me feeling gross. I ordered 3 cruncy tacos and a bean & cheese burro. I bit into the taco and you could taste the taco shells were bad. It turned my stomach and I tossed it all out when I got home. Again.. I prefer Del Taco... but I'm honestly not sure I'll go back to this location. Service was cool.. food absolutely was not. read more

STUPID ME! Stopped through a few nights ago and got a chipotle chicken wrap thingamabob about 10:30pm. Within a couple of hours the gut wrenching cramps had me moaning in pain like a dying horse on the throne at the hotel. The next 12hrs was worse than any hangover I can remember. NO BUENO The service was good though. Drive thru was clean. read more

Definitely not a high end Taco Bell. if you plan on having sexy time I strongly recommend against Del Taco. Thought I'd try it for the first time, and the last time. Great food if you need a gastric cleansing. Not if you want to be intimate. A Dutch oven is not on the list of acceptable four play. The flies at the entrance and on the food inside was a warning I ignored. read more

This was perhaps the worst experience I have ever had in a fast food restaurant. Don't bother going to the Del Taco restaurant in Defuniak Springs, FL. I've never been to a Del Taco before and won't go again. When I walk into any restaurant I want to be greeted by a friendly face, not a kiosk. I am not getting paid ( or any kind of discount ) for placing my own order or trying to figure out how to switch between screens. There were several employees in the back, standing around talking or outside on their smoke break. No one said "hello" or "welcome to Dell Taco. They might as well have been broken robots due to the lack of customer service. They also don't bother to clean the tables. The place was not busy at all, yet all, I mean all of the tables were dirty and we had to grab napkins, put some water on them and clean off a table and the seats so we could sit down. They forgot to put ranch taco so I went back up to the counter and told a girl and she just looked at me as if she was clueless as to what I was talking about. Whomever the manager at this store is, they should be fired and bring in someone who knows how to manage a store. This was ridiculous. read more
