It was a nice, warm day, which also made many community members come out to enjoy the beach. The ocean waves were mild, a good handful of birds were soaring through the sky, water activities were available at everyone's leisure and so much more that you'd expect at a beach/boardwalk. Nearby parking was super accessible and free to the public. Restaurants and stores were also along the boardwalk for public visitation. West Biloxi Boardwalk was a great stop. I recommend swinging by here, whether it's for having a peaceful walk, swimming in the ocean, participating in water activities, or even checking out restaurants/shops.

It has swings, a playground with slides, a wheelchair swing, balancing bars, climbing bars. The park has no restrooms but has a drinking fountain, benches, a paved path, pavilion with three picnic tables & a double BBQ grill. The park is shaded by several large Southern Live Oak Trees complete with Spanish Moss with an abundance of both acorns & squirrels. The park was empty, I came with my dog, I would say it is a pet friendly park (no one else was there) because it is enclosed, but is not a dog park. Parking is on a side street near the entrance. This park is directly behind what appears to be The Biloxi Police Station because there was a parking lot chock full of cop cars next door. So in other words, it is safe.

I don't know why the disconnect, but I am going to imagine that it is the result of many meetings and snippy letters back and forth over the course of a decade. But the park is here now and it's well maintained. A smooth concrete path through the center that leads to a large gazebo. Several benches throughout. The park is also bordered on the railroad side by a split rail fence. I would guess that there is music in the park on weekends. Perhaps Jazz Sunday and a farmer's market? At this time we are at a lovely adult leaning Sioux Bayou RV Park which sports a cute little beer bar called the Hideaway. The management and staff could not be more accommodating. It is very basic...very natural, located on the Sioux Bayou. The butterflies, dragon flies, birds of all types adorn this simple RV park into a perfect paradise. There are alligators, we named our buddy Gary the Gator. Never feed the Gators! There are bald Eagle flying overhead. There are migratory patterns that allow a rare look at birds you only see while migration. The moon and stars decorate the night. If you find good people, beautiful views and natural experiences a good life, you will enjoy pulling up and relaxing.

Don't let the adult park keep you away. My grandson visited me during my stay. Children are permitted to visit just not permitted to live in the park. I would highly recommend this park if you are visiting Mississippi.
