The food was so very delicious, formally served by avid young staff, in a charming setting. We got there, after walking around the old world town of Volterra one sunny morning. We were headed for the Teatro Romano when Del Duca caught our eye. The menu and a peek inside lured us in, and boy are we glad!
We loved the Truffle Gnocchi, and the Tortoloni entrée. We enjoyed a local white wine Vernaccia Lunar, bright and refreshing and a perfect compliment to our meal. We had amazing Ravioli Cacie e Pepe with Arugula Pesto, with sun dried tomatoes and almonds. Heavenly!
For Dessert We order a wonderful Vin Santo del Chianti (Armida Castel Vecchio of Terriciola). Life Changing!
