Going to all of the medieval towns in Italy is very cool but it's often hard to tell what's a tourist trap with no-so-good food and what's older and authentic. When we stopped by Il Giardinetto, it seemed very authentic and was super busy with everyone speaking Italian. The seating area is in the middle of the square and a great location.
We ordered our standard vegetarian meal-bruschetta, pizza, and salad. The bruschetta was simply excellent with the perfect amount of salt, olive oil, and garlic. The pizza (tomato basil) was probably the best we had in Italy. The salad was good and fresh, very simple as we love it.
This might have just been the best food we had in all of Italy. The prices were also super cheap. I think our whole meal was under 20 euro. read more
