In the…read moreTERMS OF USE Rapid-Sell states, "Our best efforts are made to represent all items accurately in descriptions and photographs; however, all items are ultimately sold on an 'as is, where is' basis, with all faults." Their 'Best efforts' to describe a set of sockets I purchased was "NEW". My best efforts determined they were clearly not new. The case showed regular usage inside and out. The sockets showed regular usage with surface scratches and finger prints on the chrome as well as grime and rust on the inside of many socket heads. Because they were a special '75th anniversary' edition, I could date them. They were over 20 years old! Two other items I purchased were listed as new as well but once again upon receipt the cases showed considerable wear and the contents showed rust as well as usage in the form of grease smudges and finger prints. I called the office and was offered a refund of my purchase price if I could return the items to the Guelph office in one or two days. I live two hours away and was unable to make the trip until the following week, (I was also reluctant to spend $40+ for fuel and use 4 hours of my time). It was then suggested I return the goods to their office at my expense using Canada Post. Not an acceptable solution for me as Canada post would be quite expensive. So now I own the items and I have no way of knowing if I overpaid because calling something new on an online auction may have resulted in higher competing bids, i.e. I was expecting to get an item in mint condition and was willing to pay more than for the same item in used condition. Competing bidders may have felt the same way. Note: The attached pictures are ones I took at home and not those online.

Thankfully it wasn't listed even lower before we pulled the listing from the agent or Karen would have had a field day.
