I've been volunteering here with my…read morefamily for many years, and with the recent remodeling to the inside of the building it was a perfect fit! We hosted 175 people and it was a perfect sized venue. The inside of the building itself has large windows (actually sliding glass doors) which let in lots of beautiful natural light, and also nice wood trim. It's a very neutral space that you can decorate however you'd like. The ladies that help with event coordination are very nice and they loved helping us make the event perfect. The club is almost entirely run by volunteers from the community (it's a charitable organization that does so much good both locally and nationally) and they all did a fantastic job. Our guests could not stop RAVING about the food! The potatoes, chicken, pork chops, and chicken wings were some of the favorites. Everything was super smooth and you can tell how much they all care about making your day special. I would definitely recommend Elburn Lions Club for a wedding shower, reception, rehearsal dinner, etc. or any other group event you are looking for (birthday, family reunion, office Christmas party, etc.)! You will not be disappointed! Oh, and my mom just told me that they just finished remodeling the bathrooms and added a bridal room- such an awesome touch!
