Let me start off by saying I've had lashes before. I tried Deka after hearing about it from a friend and I am floored! First of all, their studio is super clean, super cute, and most importantly...the beds are super comfy. They even have little blankets if you get cold! When I got there, I checked in for my appointment and filled out a quick new-client form on their ipad, it didn't take long, so my technician was actually able to take me early! To be honest, I'm always a little weary when I go to a new place-- even if it is as pretty as Deka. But I knew I was in good hands as soon as I walked in the bathroom and saw the eye cleanser and super clean bathroom (working in a salon myself, I've learned to always judge a salon by the cleanliness of their bathroom-- usually indicates the sanitation of the rest of the place and Deka's was spotless!). I usually nap during my lash appointments, but I couldn't help but yap my technician, Manassah's ear off. She was super sweet and gave me the perfect lashes to suit my hooded eyes. This was the first lash appointment where I opened my eyes and the lids weren't stuck together and glue didn't burn them. I'll definitely be signing up for their membership, but I'm skipping "basic" and going straight to "elite". I highly recommend visiting Deka, and if you're unsure, just pop in and check the place out! You'll be convinced. read more

I'm new to Deka Lash. My tech was very sweet and accommodating, but my refill didn't last--I had major shedding by day 3, and by one week most of the lashes were gone. I reached out to have more added, not a full redo, but I was told the have a 5day policy which I wasn't aware of their 5-day policy. If I had been informed, I would have returned sooner. I was given a $500 virtual gift card to Deka Lash. The reviews were great, so I scheduled a refill appointment. My lashes looked great! They were nice and full! Too, the lash tech was very friendly. However, when I checkout out, she didn't know how to apply the gift card. She reached out to others, without a solution. I was told that she will figure it out. Once applied, I would receive and email with my balance and next appointment date. I received a email with the appointment date, but nothing regarding the gift card. Two weeks later, I showed up to my appointment. The owner greeted me and stated that the gift card that I was given was not for Deka Lash. I pulled out my phone, accessed my email to view the gift card. I showed it to the owner who saw that it was for Deka Lash. Apparently, the facility had never accepted a virtual gift card (advertised and purchased from the corporate website) until I walked in with one. The situation was finally resolved, but I wouldn't go back. The quality of work went down when they thought that the gift card was fake. Too, it was a very embarrassing and timely ordeal. The lash artist did a great job on finding out exactly what type of lash I wanted by assisting me with picking out the length, design, and thickness of lash. The lashes looked really beautiful so I even purchased a membership. I was happy with the service until the next day when I woke up with a migraine and extreme eye soreness. I've never had this issue before after getting my lashes done nor was this an allergy. I was basically in bed for 2 days. When I called to discuss the issue, I was told the eye bag placement was probably off while I was getting the extensions put in, thus causing the fumes to severely irritate my eyes. This was extremely unfortunate because I had just taken a flight to LA and now had this absolutely horrifying incident occur while I was supposed to be at an important event. I had to miss the event and was stuck in the hotel all day. The owner was nice enough to contact me and offered a complimentary lash service (with another lash artist). He said I'd have a credit on my account if I wanted to get my lashes done later. Fast forward a few months--I finally had the courage to call them up and book an appointment. The very same lash artist who did my extensions that first time picked up ...and of course told me there was no credit on my account. Soo I'm not sure I'd get my lashes here again. On another note, Deka Lash is a clean salon that is conveniently located in a complex, about a 2 minute drive from the Kierland Commons area so parking and location are two pros to this place. read more

I went to Deka Lash at Scottsdale Promenade today and worked with Ana. I had a GREAT experience! The salon is very clean w comfy beds and fun music. We talked about the type of lash extensions I wanted and since I've been getting them done for so long, Ana agreed to just follow the pattern I've had previously (a natural lash). She was fast and thorough, and I was comfortable the whole time! The lashes look good and the price was consistent w what I've been paying...definitely going to sign up for the elite membership which is $105/mo and includes two fills. This is my first time getting eyelash extensions and I am in love. The staff was super friendly and welcoming. They were ready for me as soon as I walked in the door. We spent about 15 minutes going over the options and filling out some questions about what I wanted. I had a reference picture which she took into consideration while we talked. In the end, I said that I trusted her expertise since I didn't know enough to really have an opinion. I laid back in the chair, which was surprisingly comfortable and it wasn't long before I fell asleep! She worked quickly and so gently that I was able to nap with no problem. I barely felt her touching my eyes. I was super impressed with how gentle her touch was. I woke up and got to peek at my eyes in the mirror and I was shocked! They looked amazing! Perfect shape and length without being over done. I don't like it when it looks like there are caterpillars on people's eyelids...unless you are a drag queen (if you are, girl, pile those lashes on there!!!) The only suggestion (it's not really a complaint) is that during our discussion of what I wanted, I felt like some of the descriptions were hard to understand because I had no context for words like "natural" versus "dramatic" or "modified cat eye" versus the other types of shapes (which I don't remember now). As a first timer, it was a little overwhelming and made me a bit nervous because I wasn't sure I conveyed what I wanted properly. Either I did or my lash artist was good enough to convert my inexperienced explanation into reality (I'm guessing the latter is the case). Also, as a new customer, I feel like the explanation of the products that they offer was rushed and done only because she HAS to do it at the end of each session. I felt like she was worried that she was being too "sales-ish" when I was really interested in the education of how to take care of my new lashes. I didn't feel like she was "selling" me on the products but I also didn't feel like she was educating me on the benefits of the products either. I've been in that position before and I know some customers can get irritated with that sort of product explanation but I don't think I was giving off the "stop talking to me vibe" at all. She did present all the products to me with a brief description but I think it could have been more informative. Overall, I thought the experience was great and I would definitely recommend my friends to Deka Lash. They were professional, kind and provided me with beautiful eyelashes that I'm thrilled with! read more

I've had my lashes done at 3 different places before coming to Deka Lash and I can honestly say I noticed a difference. My lashes stay on longer, they don't hurt or sting cause sometimes the glue can cause that and they are very CLEAN! My commute is also 35 mins away but I don't mind the drive. I found this place here on yelp and I thought I would give it a try, I read the reviews and I thought it was fair to give it a shoot. I went there got my lashes done. Wen I tried to rebook the rep told me she couldn't accommodate me. After calling several times I simply ended canceling since they would give me the run around. I got an email asking me to go back so I thought maybe it was their staff and I went back, I signed up for the membership again and now they did it again. The lashes fall off within 5 days depending on who does them for you ...But their scheduling is horrible and if they can't accommodate you its too bad and you get charged for the membership with no refunds anyway. I'm glad I decided to stick around and get a fill before canceling my membership. My initial set, I wasn't the happiest with how it came out, too curly, and not that full. I figured I had a lot less of lashes than I assumed, and not knowing what the different curls were, I just told the stylist to surprise me. Well, I was definitely surprised! Figuring that I could get it fixed on my fill, I didn't fret about it and even still signed up for a membership. But then the extensions started falling out, a lot, and they were rarely ever attached to a real lash. My original stylist had said, if more than 7 fall out in the first few days call in and they'll fix me up. Well, I didn't want to be THAT person, so I just let it go, but they kept falling out more and more! I ended up getting a fill the next week, confident that things would get better with the fill. I am so glad I decided to wait it out! I'm so happy with my fill. So much more full! And the second stylist, menessah, is amazing! She added some C curls to the few D curls I had left and I am much more happy with the look. And I'm about to wrap up day 2 of my fill, and only 1 lash has fallen out! Impressive! To give my original stylist credit, the week that the lashes were falling out, it was crazy humid and hot, so maybe that's what caused it? I fear there's more to it, but again, I'm hoping for the better. read more

Love how my eyelashes turned out! Overall a great experience. The only thing that is stopping me from rating them 5 stars is that they didn't seem too inviting. When i walked in, the front desk lady was short with me and didn't seem too happy. I previously gave a wonderful review as Amber was so great removing a bad lash job. The first full set I received here was great and lasted about 10 days. After that, each fill was only lasting 5-7 days. I then upgraded to their unlimited membership as I was having to go so often. I am attaching a picture of my eyelashes 4 days after a fill. I have been having my lashes done for two years and I have never experienced such poor retention in fills. Furthermore, I called their number to cancel an appointment as I was fed up. I was now just emailed that they charged me 50% of an appointment for not cancelling. I will never go back to Deka Lash....ever. read more

They have online booking available, which is awesome for people like me who don't always remember to book during business hours. I arrived super early. They are FANTASTIC & they are doing lashes right!!! 1st - They have promos to help you get started without a heavy hit for the 1st full set!! 2nd- the body contouring chairs are dreamy & sure make it more comfortable than those other places that throw you on a flat massage board!3rd- they use the CORRECT amount of adhesive... you don't even see it as it grows out!! First timer getting eyelash extensions! I went to Deka last for my first set of eyelash extensions about two weeks ago now and my lashes still look AMAZING! I was set up with Amber, who was so nice and did her job so well! I got to my appointment early and she was willing to take me to the back right away! She was very knowledgable about extensions, answered all my silly questions, and helped me pick out the exact sale of lash extensions that I wanted. She even have me advice on what extensions and style would go best with my eye shape, which I really appreciated. Since getting my lashes extensions I have gotten multiple compliments on them and am already excited to go back to get a fill! Only reason why I gave this a 4/5 (wish I could give a 4.5) was because the prices being what they are and waiting area being big enough for about two people. Other than that....LOVE THEM! read more
