He helped us furnish our 6-bedroom home in a way that remained fresh and current til the day we sold it in October 2018. How often can you say THAT about furnishings? In 2001 we bought ANOTHER beach house in Corolla Light -- this one to rent out. Barry again helped us replace key pieces of furniture to update the look and have it stand out from the other rental houses. He suggested fabrics that would stand up to the wear and tear of weekly rentals. And they did, saving us money and keeping the house looking fresh. Last year Barry helped us furnish the house we built for our retirement when we tore down the rental house. He has an uncanny knack for asking what we want, having us give a semi-coherent explanation, and then showing us furniture and fabrics that are even BETTER than what we imagined. When we walked into our new home last December and saw the furniture in place, we were speechless. Literally! And besides having amazing taste, Barry is the friendliest, most responsive, most honest person with whom to deal. Meetings that we would thought would take the entire day managed to be completed in a couple of hours. That's how efficient Barry is. He knows his stock -- and the showroom is full of amazing ideas and samples. We can't say enough great things about him. I know that in order to make a review believable you're supposed to point out a failing. Sorry -- we can't think of one, except perhaps that they don't have a showroom in the Washington, DC, area! I was impressed with their large selection of outdoor furniture. They carry several brands of weather-tolerant and salt air friendly furniture in addition to Polywood. With their expansive showroom I was able to see the most popular pieces in person, get a color sample and even a brochure. The staff was helpful with my questions and very welcoming. Before I even made it to the outdoor section I was wowed with the large indoor furniture selection. The store had many lovely vignettes complete with fun linens and lovely artwork. Most of the furniture has a beachy or nautical theme. The store was definitely comfortable and inspiring. Daniels' Homeport is also know for their rental cottage furnishing services. They can put complete packages together for rental homes and they even sell stuff to fully stock a kitchen.

We also both purchased the Kantha quilts, which were plentiful and colorful with gorgeous patterns. They were $35 each, but you can find them cheaper on Etsy or Amazon. I also found some vintage toleware and artsy greeting cards. Go early because it gets crowded in the afternoon. Plenty of parking! They have a variety of furniture, home decor and odds and ends that are in rough shape but priced fairly. With creativity and TLC so many of the pieces at Class and Trash can be Pinterest worthy. This is a large store and there is a lot to look at. Among my favorite items were a vintage garden gate, a wooden croquet set and heavily worn bingo cards.
