We visit annually to purchase and freeze coho and chum salmon. Great people. Great prices. Both sorry and surprised by the 2024 reviews.

We bought King Salmon last week and it was not king, the color was not red but a pale grey tasted like chum had to throw it away.

The seating can be large groups or you can sit at the counter near the open kitchen area. That would be my selection as you can watch some of the chefs prep the food fresh in front of you. There is a lot of things to order and I really couldn't decide. The one thing I knew was that I wanted to get seafood since I remember seafood being really good and fresh in Seattle. Which is why I ended up purchasing the Seafood basket. Originally I wanted to just get this as an appetizer and order something else after but this was definitely enough. The server was helpful in putting my order and also happened to be the same one that prepped my food. The pacific oysters were really good and probably even one of the best pacific oysters I've had since they were really fresh. Immediately right when I was done, he served me the rest of my food which was the clams & mussels. Those were really good and not too salty. I felt like I needed something a little extra for it so I was able to order a cheesy garlic bread to compliment the dish, as well as soak up the sauce. Definitely a great experience and I'd suggest this to anyone that likes seafood as they have a huge selection and can't really go wrong.

Prices were about what you would get at any other place so you're not really saving any money. However it was fresh and delicious! I had the seafood cocktail and it was plenty fresh and plentiful! It's pretty much a bar so seating is first come first serve. Service was friendly but a bit slow at times as there was only two people behind the counter even though there was a lot of bar seating.

If you are a small group and don't want to have a whole meal, the farm shop is a faster and more affordable option! I had an incredible experience - we got u-shuck oysters, and they provided a bucket with ice, gloves, a small towel, and an oyster knife. They provided written instructions and came by the table and offered to help too. It was truly an amazing experience getting to see where oysters are harvested and try out shucking them yourself! Highly recommend.

Just shy of a five-star rating. My reason for this will be explained in my review and for this…read morereason I am going to write a more structured review. Because honestly, I wish it was a five-star review. So close! First, the service is 100 percent a five-star review. Such friendly happy staff. Everyone is smiling and you can tell happy to be there. I haven't experienced a workplace environment like this in a long time. Maybe because the view is outstanding. Right on the waterfront, outside, plenty of room, air flowing freely, and just stunning. The ambiance is of joy and happiness to be there. The food left a little bit to be desired. So I will use a rating system I don't usually use in my reviews. Half a dozen raw oysters, 8/10, should have ordered the grilled oysters that I was originally craving. bread and butter, 7/10, surprisingly the butter had little flavor despite its vibrant orange color. Real butter with salt would have been better. Seafood chowder with clams and shrimp, 10/10. My favorite of the three items I ordered this was the most delicious. But the experience is so amazing! And I will absolutely be back. And next time I might reserve a wood triangle because it is probably a really fun spot to sit on a cold day snuggled up with a blanket and a bowl of seafood chowder. There is a small food truck frying up French fries, oysters and making more items. You order there separately and sit in the area up front closer to the street side of the restaurant. I noticed families bringing fried goodies back to their wood tent style tables. Those tables need to be reserved in advance. They do have walk in tables which are communal. I sat at one of those as a solo diner. I noticed several of the special tables open though and I believe you can walk in for those. I believe they cost $75 and include a dozen raw and dozen grilled oysters and have a time limit. That's all I got! Enjoy life and treat yourself! SYOY!

What a great place for a late lunch on the water…read more The outdoor seating areas welcomed dogs and at least half the tables have shade umbrellas. All just off the waters of Hood Canal. During our meal we watched Caspian terns dive bomb on searun cutthroat trout in the waters in front of us. We saw seals feeding on those fish, too. (The trout were feeding on salmon fry in the shallow shoreline waters). And we saw great blue herons on the shoreline and roosting in the tall Doug firs across the road. But onto the restaurant. The menu is varied and impressive. We had the bacon-and-shrimp tacos and the smoked trout and baguette. Everything was perfectly cooked with a clean, appetizing presentation. When (not if) we go back, we'll definitely get at least one order of the bacon-shrimp tacos to share (it comes as two generous tacos) and then add something new. Beverage wise, H&F offers a great selection of beers, cider, wine, and cocktails. All in all, this is a new NW favorite.

For the springtime visit, it was amazing sitting outside in the sunshine. You order food at the checkout counter, and they bring your order out to you. With the sunshine the views and delicious food it could not have been more perfect. The outdoor area is also dog friendly and you can walk around the marina or take a look at the neighboring gift shop. The food may seem a little pricey at first, but the quality is there. It is fresh. It is flavorful, and it is delicious. Parking can be a little bit of a pain, especially during the busy times.
