fantastic food, service and great cookies! Able to meet special requests, times and other items!

This place is so good and I think about it way too often. I highly recommend the stuffed Buns because they always delicious no matter what the filling is. Just order early because they tend to sell out quick. read more

Dee and her staff are a local gem serving fantastic food along with personal service. The owner knows her customers by name making the experience even better. All of the food from the pot roast sandwich, All American,l to the White Chicken Chili and the Cowboy are just part list....all FANTASTIC taste and quality at extremely reasonable prices compared to restaurants. Stop in to this deli for lunch if you're in the area. You will NOT be disappointed!! read more

Sandwiches are very good. Big and tasty. The soup was. Ok. Chili was to sweet for me. The chicken tortilla soup. Good base taste. Lacking chx and veg. My opinion skip the soup. Stick with the sandwiches read more

Excellent food and service. I've been ordering sandwiches from Dee's since she first opened on Glenwood Park Avenue and will continue to until she retires.... Hopefully not any time soon! read more

This is a great place to get a great sandwich. I guess this is why the parking lot was full public service employees picking up getting lunch. They know the best places. read more

The place is amazing!!! My grandson loves the place and has had us stop every week when I pick him up. Great food, great prices and they really know there customers read more

This place has really gone down hill over the past year. Their "freshly baked bread" is either burnt or has obviously been frozen and thawed; rarely is it a good, fresh quality. You would think there was a new Baker coming in every week. Prices seem to fluctuate every week or it just depends on who you talk to. It's like a flea market. I've also noticed on occasion small children freely running around the store. Weaving through customers, blocking the entrance/exit, and even playing around the food prep. Sure left an odd and queasy feeling in my stomach and I haven't been back since. It doesn't seem like the owners care anymore. The only thing consistent is their inconsistency. However, their employees have always been pleasant, helpful, and quick to get you out the door. During this time of crisis, I've experienced many other local businesses actually caring for and catering to the community. Dee's is not one of them. Their greed and selfishness has truly shown; getting rich off of others sweat and blood. read more

This was my first time eating at Dee's and it was pretty good I'll eat here more thx for feeding me

I love this place so much. Every time we have friends visit from out of town, this is where I tell them to go. The place is small just enough room for you to order and some benches to wait for you food, but it is all worth the wait! I have never had a bad sandwich here. You just can't go wrong with Dee's. read more

Great lunch spot! I was in Erie for a week and wanted to try out as many local dining spots as I could. Dee's was by far the best place I ate at all week. I had the pot roast special and the pepper jack broccoli soup. I have to say, the bread is probably the best part. Really fresh, it tasted like they had just baked the bread that morning! The soup was good and cheesy. My meal came up to around $6 in total (awesome deal). I would definitely recommend Dee's for lunch! read more

We were looking for a quick local lunch spot and that's just what we found at Dee's. Fast, friendly, helpful service was a great start. I had the pot roast special - their most popular sandwich with good reason. The pizza sandwich on french bread looked great too, almost like a calzone. A table to sit at would be nice but take out was obviously their forte. Although with food this amazing I just wish we could have enjoyed it longer. Guess that's what the leftovers are for. read more

I had heard a lot of talk about Dee's, mostly from contractors, electricians and other occupations that eat their midday meal behind a steering wheel. But, in the mood for a sub, I decided to stop by. Interesting place, you walk in, and it's like walking in to someone's kitchen. Everyone, staff and patrons are extremely friendly. Service was quick, and I was pleased by the price. When I returned home to actually partake in my sub, my belly smiled. Their bread is good, and there is a good bread to "guts' ratio. It's amazing how quickly Dee's just kind of assimilated into my life as a lunch joint. As I'm sure it has to all those steering wheel diners... read more

I usually stop here on my way home from my chemo infusions. Even on days they are busy they are still on top of things. The employees are very friendly and hard working. The food is very incredible! Perfect lunch!! I highly recommend anything on the menu. read more

We ordered a sub tray from Dee's for an employee going-away party. We were able to order same day, the woman taking the order was very nice, and they were right on time with delivery! Very reasonably priced for a small-business lunch and the food was absolutely delicious! The bread was super fresh, they brought all the sides and condiments for the sandwiches, and the variety of subs had something to please everyone in the office. We will definitely be ordering here again for our next staff meeting! Thank you for the great service!! read more

In the mood for a corned beef sandwich and a soda. Easy to find. Roll and corned beef was really fresh and good portion. Combo of sandwich and soda was under $5.00. Wow. Very pleasant at the front counter. This is definitely a takeout deli or caterer. Plan on eating your sandwich in your car. read more

Erie is lucky to have such a great place for superior food! Dee's delicatessen is fast, fresh and friendly!

The hoagie from Dee's was superb. The bun was fresh and the portion of meat to bread was perfect. Definitely recommend to anyone who wants a quick lunch. The owner is very pleasant and I'm happy to support an Erie resident and her business. read more

I love Dee's! It is one of my favorite places to eat for lunch! It's a take out place. You walk in and are greeted by friendly staff and place your order! For sandwiches, you choose your bread, meat (anything from ham to chicken salad) and then veggies and condiments. They also have salad, soup, drinks, cookies, chips...pretty much anything you would want for lunch! Also it is a regular deli where you can get lunch meat to take home. I usually get 1 pound of chicken salad:) Definitely stop if you get the chance! read more

I haven't eaten at Dee's as regularly as I used to, and when I went back today I was really happy to find out that the food is just as good and the service just as fast. Plus, you get a LOT of food for an extremely reasonable price. I used to get wraps a lot, and I am the kind of person that is a "meat and cheese only" sandwich eater. When I got turkey, bacon and Swiss, that wrap was CRAMMED with meat and cheese...so much that I usually had trouble finishing the whole thing for lunch. Today, I got a 6" pot roast sandwich and it was fantastic. The roll was so fresh and soft, and the roast was cooked perfectly. Of course, eating a sandwich that was almost the same width as its length was really tough to do but I couldn't put it down! Now I am overstuffed and will have to nap this afternoon, but that's OK. You can honestly eat here every day and not get tired of the combinations, or break the bank. Lunch is usually around $5 or $6, depending if you want to add chips or a drink. And they do offer some sammy suggestions and a daily special for soup and sammy, but you can mostly make your own. Want 6 cheeses? Toss all of 'em in there! Want it on a croissant? Can do! You can feel pressured to order, just because their service is so fast you don't have a lot of time in line but the people that work there are so nice, they don't care if you take a little extra time. read more

Food is always excellent and service quick. They fairly recently added a cheddar bun which is the best bun anywhere. Wish they were open Saturdays. Almost forgot--- they have the best chocolate chip cookies in town. read more

Great food and friendly service. Definitely an Erie staple! I love the variety of soups and great sandwiches. I wish they were open on Saturdays also! If you're looking for a great deli sandwich or soup, stop by and treat yourself. You won't be disappointed! read more

For getting 4.5 stars on Yelp I expected the food to be a lot better. Also, the lady behind the counter was pushy and rude. I wasn't really clear on how to order when I got there, they don't have sandwich choices like most delis I've gone to . It's more like a choose your bread then choose you're meat type of deal and due to the rude cashier I didn't feel comfortable as a new customer and will not return. read more

The service is friendly and fast. I have tried most of the subs and they all were great. The soups are delicious as well. Better than the franchise subs. Support local! read more

Best sandwiches in town and it's not even close. Don't expect to eat in as it's a more traditional grab and go sandwich joint, but if you are looking for a quick bite for lunch in Erie this is THE place I would recommend. read more

Dees is the best deli in Erie from the potroast sandwich. Yes I said potroast to the never doughy pepreroni bread. Love the staff and the bread is baked in house shout out to Steve. Its nice to eat at a place where the owner is right there to talk to you. read more

I am hear Monday thru Friday it seems for lunch. They have amazing specials like Fiery grilled chicken wrap, portabella mushroom wrap, and an amazing Taco Wrap. The prices are unbeatable.
