I have been coming to Dr. Fernandez for just over a year. We have done a few root canals & crowns in that time. I have a blood disorder that can make dental work difficult, but him and his team always make sure I'm well taken care of and protected on any treatment needed. I highly recommend this office! All they want is your money and your insurance money. Don't care about patients. Extremely high turnover of staff. I had 4 different hygienists in 5 years and countless techs. EVERY SINGLE TIME I was there x-rays were taken(even just for a dental cleanings). I should have left 4 yrs ago. DONT USE THIS DENTAL PRACTICE unless you want to have all your teeth capped!!! I finally left after a permanent crown fell off after 26hrs of placement. Was then told by Dr. Mojgani " you need to wait 48hrs". Never in my life was I told this and it's B.S. This dentist is terrible. I went in about a month ago and they told me that I had three cavities because my fillings were having issues and needed a deep clean with flooding. I do not have dental insurance and they told me it would cost around 1,400 dollars. I got a second opinion and they told me that I in fact did not have cavities and that they did a terrible job cleaning. I also have to wait 45 minutes every time to get a cleaning because they have two other patients in the building. It is stressful every time I come to this dentist. Can't say enough positive things about this office. They got me in with 24hrs of me calling and addressed all my issues and concerns within 2 Visits (back to back days) It's great not setting multiple appointments since I get such anxiety about being in the dental chair. The Drs and staff put me at ease and explained everything step by step as we worked through each procedure. I received a full deep cleaning and then root canal and crown the same day! READ ALL NEGATIVE REVIEWS...I WISH I DID! I went in for routine teeth cleaning in May 2024 so I could get the best bang for my new insurance dollar (2 visits per year). I was given what I thought was good advice and made the decision to replace a crown due to receding gums and a developing cavity at that crown area. I knew crowns were not covered so I discussed the cash pay bill with my wife. I decided to go ahead and paid ($1599) for the crown and perio-clean. I opted for the more expensive "Instant Crown" in office, because I was leaving state in 2 days for a month. I (paid in full), the cash pay contract amount they provided, the day of visit. Unbeknown to me, they also went ahead and billed my insurance. The insurance did cover small portion more. So they not only got my "payment in full" amount they received several hundred dollars more from my insurance. To add insult to injury, we receive several EOBs from my insurance, many for duplicate billing and a balance due of $45. DVD group claims by law they have to also bill insurance. NOT! My son was a dental business office manager. So for $45, Which they should written off, they lost a local, cash-pay, customer with a clean mouth! You don't want to hear what I really want to say about this unscrupulous business. AND AND AND a BAD REVIEW! P.S. My boyfriend went in for an exam and they insisted they needed X-rays (they didn't), said my boyfriend had a really bad cavity (he didn't), and had the starts of a gum disease (he didn't), and then quoted us over $600 for it all to be done so we decided that we wanted a second opinion and went to a trusted dentist before we did anything with this dentist. The trusted dentist told up that my bf had no cavities and there was nothing wrong with his gums. So I don't suggest going to this dentist. read more

This review is simply based on my greeting at this place of business, which created a decision not to patron the business as they must have enough business to be able to treat people poorly. Upon entering the place, after saying to the lady at the counter, "hello how are you?" I was greeted with a "do you have an appointment?" (Nobody else was there), First thought, do I have to have one? Second thought, did she not hear my upbeat greeting I gave as I entered? (The person at the desk was not the office manager or appointment coordinator that normally sits there I assumed as she had a mask and as I was told to wait (for an unknown amount of time for someone else) ) Then I was asked if I was their patient, my first thought was I hope to be and secondly so I have to be to talk with you and then I was asked what insurance I have? Never a hi, never a small chance that they cared I was even there. I run a pretty successful business and usually pay cash so I said no and the I began to wait. so I waited a few minutes and decided to leave. I have been to there facility many times with pain and and slight bleeding . I feel they are trying to resolve the issue but its still reoccurring. I understand that the lower denture is much different than the upper. I have lost several pounds due to the lower denture and is effecting my emotional being. I did call and I was able to to have an appointment the next day that I called. At this time I am losing faith in this procedure and I believe they need to take another impression. I have sought legal counsel also went to another dental facility which gave me information. I just want it done correctly although unfortunately I have my doubts but I will see and try to stay positive. if I have success I will change my review. read more

I have been in Invisalign with Dr Mojgani for about 12 months. I am amazed with my results. I am so happy I invested in my smile. Dr Mojgani is a wonderful and caring dentist. I'm not sure what dentist is being talked about below but the dentist I was was very nice, patient, down to earth, and had a sense of humor. She made me feel very comfortable and welcomed. This was dentist BHangoo. They worked with my budget and did a payment plan. My temporary crown popped off and broke. They replied it and made me a brand new temp crown. I am not a fan of the dentist and have a deep dislike, but I'll be going back to them. read more

Update on my last review. I still haven't gotten in for my cleaning. They keep calling me and pushing my appointment out. Today I got a call (beginning of may) saying that they don't have a hygienist available for my cleaning until the end of June!! It's going to be 6 mo before I can get a cleaning. What I can't have just any hygienist, it has to be the specific one that isn't available until 2 more months. What a joke. read more

Horrible experience wish I could give 0 stars. I've been trying to find a local dentist after moving to North Phoenix and once I first walked inside for my first appointment they seemed really nice and welcoming so it gave me good hope I finally found a place. No, total opposite. I needed a cleaning but first they had to do x-rays and said "you have really good insurance" but I still would've had to pay an arm and a leg for all the x-rays they had to do and if I were to do a cleaning. They also told me my previous dentist didn't do a filling correctly so they wanted to fix it and in going over the price, that was outrageous too. I wanted to get a white spot treatment done and they said it depended on when the supplies were ordered but they scheduled me so I'd have a spot. That appointment was rescheduled on me 3 times. Then finally today they said my appointment would actually stick this time but then called me hours before telling me the previous price they discussed with me would actually now be raised higher. Yeah....no thanks, not gonna go to a dentist that's unprofessional and doesn't care about the PATIENTS time and how it's been such an inconvenience and awful experience with them. I guess I should've focused more on these bad reviews rather than giving them the benefit of doubt. read more

The people there are nice but after having gone here for 2 years I'm fed up with their service. They take forever to do everything. Every cleaning I'm there over an hour. The first time I had an appointment for a cleaning. They checked me in, then told me I would have to make another appointment because a hygienist wasn't there. Another time I also had appointment for a filling and when I showed up and their office was closed! No notice, and their hours listed said they were supposed to be open. Not coming here anymore, takes up too much of my time. read more

I've been going to this dentist for several years, but they are not at all the same, will be looking for another dentist. First of all they canceled my appointments for the last 3 months, I was scheduled for my 6 month cleaning in June, the changed it 3 times, finally got me in today, now 9 months and for routine check up & cleaning, I was there 2 1/2 hours, all new staff, the hygienist they once had was amazing, this one today, talked the whole time about what I need to do, and after being there so long, I was ready to scream, didn't want to hear anything, I just wanted out of the chair, it been 2 hours at that point. Seems like all they want to do now is sell you more services and the friendliness and personalization they once had has gone. read more

Best experience EVER!. Dr.Mojgani is AMAZING!!!!! Walked out with 2 beautiful crowns in a few hours while getting a deep cleaning. They fit absolutely perfect right out of this incredible porcelain tooth machine right in the office. No temporary crown and an extra visit for me. The entire staff is as good as it gets from the awesome front desk gals to best dental assistant and gentle and precise hygienist who gave me a white smile. I left amazed that I was in no pain during or after getting the crowns which has not been my prior experience at another dental office. I have already raved to friends who are going to switch dentists ad I did. I thank everyone especially Dr. Mojgani for his kindness, concern and state if the art equipment. I appreciate the time he spent with me reviewing all the xrays and examinations prior to doing any work. He took time with me discussing my health issues as well dental care. Horrible. Customer service terrible. Doctor came in and her first question was did I smoke weed this morning. Like what? Then she tried to play it off as if she asked everyone. Then started telling me how bad smoking is for me. ( I didn't go to a therapist ) I made an appointment to get my teeth cleaned. But of course I had to get my xrays done first. After that she explained to me that I need 3000$ in work for my teeth. I was just at another dentist 5 months ago and they said I needed to replace my crown. This "doctor" told me I need to brand new crowns and my other crown was fine. These people just want you money. Wouldn't recommend to anybody. read more

I was referred to this dental office by my brother and I am so glad I came here. The receptionist is so friendly and kind, I really appreciate them being able to get me scheduled on such short notice. I literally called at 4pm and they got me in for an 8:30 appointment the next day. Even after being 30 minutes late, they still saw me at 9am. I was able to complete my new patient forms at home the night before which is really convenient and saves paper. I originally came in because I noticed that my gums were inflamed and red also because I thought that my enamel looked extra thin. They took x-rays and once I sat down in the chair they checked my gums and of course I had a mild case of gingivitis. They recommended a treatment for that and a whitening treatment. I was able to get a great deal on all of my treatments with my insurance and their promotions. Now I'm walking out the door with a brighter, whiter, and healthier smile. I am so glad I came here! I am very pleased with Dr. Mojgani and his staff. Alix is a great dental hygienist. The place is clean and orderly. I honestly couldn't ask for more. I have been going to Deer Valley Dental for 3 years and this is by far the BEST dental experience I have ever had. Dr. Mojgani is friendly and engaging. He takes time to know all of his patients and always asks me about my family. I have had several cleanings from Alix and he as well is super friendly and very professional. The girls at the front desk, Drea and Nicole are so helpful. They are very accommodating if you have an emergency and you will never feel rushed. Please save yourself the trouble and don't go here! You will wait forever and not get the things you need done. I went to get my teeth checked and got fitted for a crown (which I needed) but I really needed my teeth cleaned. They also said I might need a root canal if they shave my tooth down and it hurt but it didn't so I didn't need a root canal but they decided to charge me $166 for it anyway! (Had to get the $166 refunded after the fact)So they go on to say they don't have time for a cleaning and would do it when they put my permanent crown in. So I go get my crown but still no cleaning! I even paid $85 for a special cleaning and they didn't even do it! So they schedule to come in next day to get my cleaning and take forever to call me back! I just asked for a refund and left! I can't stand them looking at me like I'm crazy when they did everything wrong! They have no communication between the dentist work and the front office. It's sad because the woman dentist there is really nice and said she even upgraded my crown (I don't believe she did because it says it was shipped in and not in house made yeah they let you choose between $700 in house made one or a $400 out house made one.) Just be careful and if you have gone here please double check what you paid for and what work you got done because I'm sure they have done this to many people. Beware! read more

At first, wonderful! The staff and the dentist! But I was afraid to get crowns done! I was absolutely clear that I preferred to have the teeth extracted because I grind and end up with a root canal! I don't want a root canal, over spending $1,000s on my teeth; I had this conversation with them. They convinced me that the crowns would solve my issues! Well, not true. I had to go back in and they asked to give it another ten days. I have. The sensitivity is unbelievable, basically I'm back to where I was at the beginning. Coming to this office was the best decision I've ever made! Dr.Mojgani immediately made me feel so comfortable!! He came in to meet me and asked me questions and got to know me and he is the nicest dentist I've ever met. He did my exam and we found that I had a cavity and needed a filling. He even offered to do this same day which was extremely convenient for us busy people. He took care of it and it was quick and painless! I also got an amazing cleaning with Alix and everyone in the office just made me feel extremely at ease which is hard to do! I recommend this office to everyone! My appointment was at 3. I got called back at 3:20 and the lady at the front tried to tell me to wait outside in the heat because they didn't want people in the lobby. I got the $39 package for new clients and after my xrays and exam I sat there and ...waited. They said they'd be with me but 10 min later they came in to tell me that they couldn't clean my teeth because their hygienist was busy. L O L WHAT TF I went their to clean my teeth!!!!! My dentist Brian Mazel was highly professional and cared about my dental health. First, I got a next day appointment after the holiday. AMAZING! The reception team was great. My appointment started on time. I was greeted by the dentist, not the assistant or hygienist. The doctor took the time to ask me about my work and asked several times if I had questions. The entire staff was kind, patient and explained everything thoroughly. While my temporary crown came off after one day, I went in first thing Monday morning when they opened and they fixed it immediately. I was out after only a half hour! I had an emergency tooth issue (crown came off) and needed help right away. Deer Valley Dental Group was able to schedule me as an emergency procedure, and in fact was able to schedule me in as a new patient workup before I left the clinic. Fees were clearly explained ahead of time and I was offered options for treatment. I was told by Dr. Mojgani that I needed a new "splint" or night guard for my teeth, as I clinch and grind my teeth at night. The Dr. convinced me that I needed a new night guard. I spent approximately $400.00 on a splint that fit over my lower four front teeth. After wearing it for a painful time, I finally went back into Deer Valley Dental and had Dr. Mojgani adjust the splint. It was not fixed and, it caused my front right tooth to ache continually. The next time I went in for a check up, I told the dental technician that the night guard (splint) was still irritating my bottom two front teeth. He just shook his head and said that's too bad. But nothing was done to alleviate the PAIN problem. Finally, a few weeks later, while eating a rib, my bottom left tooth split in two. Then, after the tooth broke, my front right tooth instantly stopped hurting, and both front teeth stopped hurting. I went to the Dental Office and I spoke with Dr. Mojgani, and told him what had happened. He asked me if I had brought the mouth guard with me and I said yes. He instantly grabbed it and said that I needed a new one. That was the last time I saw the splint that I had paid so much money for. I asked him if he would supply another one, and he said that yes, he would. I saw him three more times--getting my tooth finally fixed ( but now the tooth replaced is crooked). On each of the 3 subsequent visit after my tooth broke, I made sure that he was going to replace the night guard each visit--he said that yes, he would each time. So I was very disappointed when it came time to take impressions for a new night guard, I was told that Dr. Mojgani was n0t going to replace the night guard--that there was going to be a fee for replacing it. I was very disappointed to learn that he was not a man of his word. Plus it just didn't feel right the way he grabbed the night guard. 1. Dr. Majgani convinced me of the need to replace a night guard that was practically brand new and pay the $400.00 for the new defective one. 2. My original night guard was just fine, but he convinced me to buy one from him anyway. 3. I feel there is a definite lack of integrity at Deer Valley Dental Group. 4. And the workmanship is sub-par--as the tooth that was replaced is now the Leaning Tooth of Pizza. read more
