We don't even drive five and a half hours to visit some relatives. We found it by accident a few years ago on an anniversary trip and liked it so much that we came all the way back just to stay here again. I love this place because it still has that classic 1960s roadside motor lodge feel. Not the "I hope the plumbing works" kind. More like, "This is what a motor lodge would look like if somebody loved it for the last 60 years." Everything is immaculate. The rooms are spotless, the landscaping looks like every blade of grass had a performance review, and they've got a fire pit and cornhole out back. Which is a game I've played for years and still can't believe that's the name everyone agreed on. The people here are just... nice. And not "hotel nice." Actually nice. We know because, on the way up, we hit a deer. That's not part of the amenities, by the way. Suddenly we're wondering if our car is going to be in the shop for days, and the staff immediately started helping us figure out how to extend our stay if we got stranded. They didn't have to do any of that. They just genuinely wanted to help take one more thing off our plate during a pretty stressful day. Thankfully, we made it home, but that little gesture is the kind of thing you remember. There are plenty of hotels where you sleep. This is one where you feel welcome. My wife and I can't wait to come back. Hopefully next time we'll leave the local wildlife out of the itinerary.

There is very little…read moreinformation about this location online and they don't have a website, so I had no idea what to expect when we arrived. All I knew is they were pet-friendly, affordable and in a convenient location. When we arrived, it was better than I had expected. The grounds are beautifully maintained. There are several outside spaces to relax or have a bite with your group, and each room comes with its own front patio area with a private bench. There is also a volleyball net, horseshoe pit, grill, spit and plenty of lawn to enjoy other activities. There is also a creek at the back of the complex, which unfortunately dries up this time of year but I can imagine is very relaxing when flowing. Our room came with a queen bed, table and 2 chairs, refrigerator, air conditioning, cable tv, private shower and bathroom, pantry, and plenty of drawers and shelves. The motel is clearly on the older side and has plenty of character and charm, but it also is a bit worn. As it was very clean, I wasn't bothered by the "antique" look. There was one small issue. Bugs. As it was about 100 degrees outside, there were several small bugs sneaking in the air conditioner. Again, we weren't really bothered by this as the bugs didn't bother us and we woke up the next day bite free. It must be noted that the owners of the Motel (which should change the sign on the side of the road to "Inn") were incredibly friendly, helpful and accommodating. We had a small issue with our dog and the curtains, and they were more than understanding and appreciated the fact we alerted them and offered to pay for the damage. I would stay at this location again in a heartbeat. It was a wonderful experience. 4.5/5

I called 4 times then finally managed to get through to the desk, only for the person there to tell me they had no idea why I had been charged 2 days after checking out. They told me that they had to forward it to management and I should here back in a few days. It has been almost a week and I have heard nothing. I am really disappointed by this because this hotel was amazing aside from that. But it is simply not okay to charge someone with no notice and no communication 2 days after check out. Edit to add: I called again a few days ago and they sent me the receipt explaining the charge. Still a good, honest hotel, just would have appreciated the receipt to accompany the charge when it happened.

It's kind of slim picking in the City of Plymouth. Gave it a chance and I enjoyed my stay. First off, check-in is at 4pm. I needed to be somewhere at 3pm. I arrived about 240pm. Gave it a try and meet Cassie (I hope that was her name. I know it starts with a letter "C") who was working the desk. I asked if I could possibly check in. She said definitely and said she was expecting me. Wow!! She had all the check-in keys lined up on her desk. It took less than 10 mins to check me in. Awesome!! Went to the room to drop off my bag and order an Uber. Inside was very cozy. Nothing fancy. Had everything I needed. Room was clean. When I checked out, Cassie was working again. She checked me out. I appreciated her hospitality. Asked her why there are no Yelp reviews but she didn't know. She said this hotel has been around for a while. It got a renovation not too long ago. I would gladly come back if in Plymouth again! On a side note. No Uber or Lyfts out there. I was lucky to catch an Uber to my event. My driver told me drivers have to come from Sacramento. My driver had a drop off in the area so be took my request. After my event, I couldn't get an Uber. Tried for 30 mins with no luck.
