I just am consistently blown away at how Maine-Ly Heating Oil is hands down the best local oil company. They are competitive and often cheaper with pricing, have outstanding customer service and prompt delivery. I've been able to secure next day delivery regularly in our busy winter months and today they even worked me in for same day as I was in a pinch and had run out on a Friday. I couldn't recommend them more.

Both the person performing the chimney sweep and the person whom I paid the bill for over the phone were really rude for no apparent reason. I have no other chimney service to compare them to in regard to quality of job performed so I can't say they are better or worse than anyone else. However, I do know I will not contact them in the future just due to the fact they were so disrespectful.

She sent out a crew right away, recommended the BEST excavator- Bill Wight- who redid the entire trench-and if you need an excavator Bill is the very best of the best- answered all our questions, sympathized with the awful position we were in, did incredible quality work including sending her crew to make sure we were squared away for winter.... They seem to really love their work. I don't think people will be disappointed when hiring them.

I always assumed that because I was getting an annual furnace tuneup and cleaning that that was enough. Turns out I was wrong! Boiler technicians aren't chimney experts and things do build up over time. I contacted Dana at Larabee Chimney Services--he had actually helped install my then-new chimney liner ten years ago along with Pickett's which is how I was referred to Dana. (I was very happy with Pickett's.) He confirmed our appointment the night before and then, per my request, called when he was on his way. He and his helper inspected my chimney and liner. Turns out it didn't need a cleaning. I had my checkbook ready and asked how much? NO CHARGE! As a homeowner I really value contractors who are honest, experienced, professional, personable and charge a fair price, and that defines Dana! We are considering getting a wood stove and will definitely pick Larabee to install the new liner if we end up getting one!
