Initial estimate was over $2000 higher that three other companies. They came back and offered something more reasonable and kept checking back. ( over period of about a week). When I finally accepted their more reasonable offer, they tried to tell me that quote was only good that day cause their were in the area that day. Another lie - their first quote and follow up more reasonable offer was given relatively late in the day - no way they could have started work that day and no mention of the more reasonable offer being based on them being " in the area". Only when I said I would accept their more reasonable offer - take it or leave were they willing to honor their more reasonable offer. No discussion of discounts at that time. Told them I needed to see in writing their documents for license/insured/ bonded and quote/ scope before starting work. they started work without presenting any of this. by the time I got home from work - they were wrapping up. 35% coupon came in the mail before they started work and after we agreed upon a price and scope - talking about a two day window here. The coupon is meant to get their foot in the door. from other reviews -looks like they routinely will not honor it. When I presented the coupon - they refused to honor it. Claimed it was "included" in the original quote - absolute lie. Some of the workers were drinking beer while working - high risk work and alcohol not a good mix. Get it in writing up front. happily no one got hurt.

We got our roof done in November 2023. This company did a horrible job on our roof, it was leaking…read moresince we got it done. We reached out in June of 2024 to have them come and look at it. It took them almost 2 years to come and look at it and by the time they came to look at the damages it was June of 2025. They came out and told us the owner would have to come look at these damages, he never came so we reached out again in October of 2025. The finally came out well over a year after we initially reached out. They said they wouldn't fix the damages because they were "caused by the hurricane". We told us we reached out in June of 2024 which was before the hurricane. He couldn't show us the "damages" from the hurricane. He refused to even look at the roof. He didn't get on the roof, couldn't show us the damages "caused from the hurricane" and completely refused to help at all. Told us to take him to court. Horrible company. Wouldn't recommend them. From the workmanship, to the people in the office, to the owners. They will do a bad job then refuse to help afterwards. The owner is extremely condescending and refused to help from the beginning.

Hurricane Helene (9/26/24) caused monumental damage to this community, and unfortunately to my house as well. Though my backyard fence took the brunt of it all, my roof also experienced the results of high winds and flying debris. And so, with shingles missing and small holes now present, it was clear a new roof would be required. I was one of many homeowners reaching out to literally every roofing company, via Yelp's Request A Quote I might add, and one of the responses came from Southpaw. The quote was on point and the timeline (in a single day) was exactly what I was hoping for. They communicated with me that they would be dropping off the shingles the evening before and sure enough around 7 pm a truck, with pallets and forklift, arrived. The team member sat the pallets to one side of the driveway so I was still able to park on it as well. And soon after sunrise the next day, the team arrived. Ladders went up and shingles came flying down. Before I knew it the sound of hammers on the roof began. They were there to work! Around 3 pm I went outside to get the mail and saw they were almost finished. But the weather had other plans. Rain soon followed. They were quick to cover the last section with tarp and waited on my front porch for almost a hour till the rain subsided. And then they got it done! While two were on the last section, the rest of the team were cleaning up the back and front yards. And let me tell you, it turned out beautifully. I hope I don't require roofing services anytime soon, but if I do I know who I will be calling.

All South put on a new roof in one day, cleaned up and picked up everything. Next, we had new windows and soffits installed. Next project was removing the cedar siding then hardie board installed. Last, the painters sealed all the joints and painted around the windows and painted the hardie board. Result was a brand new appearance for our 45+ year old home. So pleased with every aspect of the work that was done. All this was accomplished over a 10-11 day period, even working on a Saturday to stay on schedule. I was telling him about another company that came out and quoted me and he proceeded to tell me he couldn't come near that price but their company was better. That's fine. Everyone thinks they are the best. That's business. Understandable. He kept going and I kept my mouth shut about the walls for as long as I could. He goes outside to look at the roof and said he had to meet up with a coworker later and he would give me a call. At this point I want him gone now! SO.... if you want more damage done to your house then what you called them to fix by all means call them. If not Young's roofing or Crosby is a safe bet. Didn't have any issues with their quote at all. Sorry for all the grammatical errors and what not. I'm upset. We just got our dream home with some minor fixes needed. And now we have more. YAY UPDATE: my husband decided to call them after they didn't return our call as promised. He stated that if I wanted them to come out and fix the damage, I started out on the wrong foot by writing this review.... ARE YOU KIDDING ME?! I STARTED OUT ON THE WRONG FOOT?!?! So we hung up. Words can not describe my emotions right now. UPDATE #2. They called back. They want to resolve the issue. Great. That's awesome. But he kept mentioning this review and how he didn't want it here.
