    Ribs Ribs Ribs!

Decided to try this restaurant out because I had a voucher (even though it's a bit out of my way) and oh my goodness am I glad I ventured out of my safe zone. To start with, the place looks great, it has a really rustic feel. All their craft beer is being made right on site, they have a beautiful wooden bar as well as chunky wood tables and seating. My voucher was for one free meal so naturally my boyfriend and I both ordered their ribs because who isn't going to order ribs if they are on the menu! When they arrived we couldn't wipe the smiles off our faces, they were so huge! Seriously massive servings we really could just have shared a plate...but we didn't. We both just sat there and ate the entirety, they were so so delicious. I also loved their unique approach of serving kumara chips with the meal, it was a nice change to normal fries. I definitely want to return here sometime in the near future!

Service can vary from stellar to below par, the food is always good here and the atmosphere is a quiet good time. The ribs .. In my opinion are some of the best in Auckland, the only one to compare is an Irish pub in Takapuna. it's fairly awesome and one of our 'go to' locations

The see service was great and the lighting and mood out of the whole restaurant was amazing. Looking at he menu I thought the portion was going to be average, but when they brought out my ribs, boy was I shocked !! I couldn't even finish the whole thing !! GREAT JOB GUYS! The steak that my sister in law had was amazing and the ribs and the lamb was also amazing ! :) the fish was good but my mum found it a bit too sweet! Note: I think the fries shouldn't all be at the bottom of the ribs cause they get a tad soggy :( no one likes soggy fries ! Overall thank you for an amazing meal !

Great food, atmosphere and staff. And fun live music. We ate here a few times during our trip with small and large groups. Would highly recommend.

Been a regular here since they first opened. I used to strongly recommend Deep Creek to everyone & anyone! However as of late (and I am not the only one to comment on this) the quality of service and food has gone down drastically. Portion sizes smaller & the prices have increased! We visited on Valentines Day late afternoon & shared a meat paddle (which we have enjoyed before). Definitely smaller portions of each meat & for $34.00 we felt ripped off. On hindsight we should have shared one main sized order of the ribs & would of gotten more food for our money. Although they are trying to offer better table service than most 'kiwi' restaurants, they have a lot of new staff that don't have a clue. On more than one occasion our drinks and/or entrees have been forgotten & we have had to go up to the bar to enquire. Still the location is fantastic right by Browns Bay beach & skatepark & the atmosphere is always lively.

Great atmosphere, good beer. I had the ribs, and didn't think they were anything special. I subbed fries for steamed veggies, but they didn't taste like they had any seasoning on them. A little salt and pepper and they were good to go! My bf got tacos and loved them.

Relaxed beachside brewery in Browns Bay with a laid back atmosphere. Often busy, so flag down a waiter for service. We shared a vegetarian platter (bread, dips, falafels, vegetable kebabs, haloumi and black turtle bean koftas). The surf and turf platter looked good too. I normally come Monday to Friday for $15 or $20 lunch options including a glass of wine, that's hard to pass up.

Generally good food but it's your standard pub food. I don't go out of my way for it.

The decor and the whole cozy little beach bar vibe is Spot on! Just loved the rustic tables and the family style place settings. Really kitschy in a great way. I had to get Sangria. It was a hot day and well what else can I say? I got the carafe for me, but ended up sharing with friends. Its a tall bit of really tasty goodness. We started off with homemade crisps and salsa. The salsa was nice and spicy with a smokey backtone I really liked. I got skirt steak taco and it was superb. The pico was a mango citrus cilantro taste that really worked well with the steak and the quite lite and deelish tortilla. Very nice combo. Got the Mexican fried chicken and man was It good. Deeply seasoned tenders lightly fried and served with two sauces that both worked magic with the chicken. I added some of the smokey salsa to the mix and oh that was great! Spicy too. I like my meat hot and spicy. No disappointments here! The only minor thing is portions are small and a tad pricey. But if you are here to eat, do yourself a tasty favor and sample. You can and you'll love it aaaaaannnnddd you won't feel guilty doin' it. ; ) The service start to finish was excellent. I don't think any of us weren't taken care of expertly! Blunderbuss was a little bit of a blunder on what I heard to be good pizza's. The duck was barely there as wasn't the leek and the only flavour was the caramlised red onion. A nice thin base but I just wish there was a little more topping for $20 and a bit more flavour. Thankfully although it was not my expectation to get it free, I just wanted them to acknowledge from my complaint that the pizza was below par, The Manager took it off the bill. On a good note the Polenta fries and aioli was perfect and tasty. The Holoumi was nice with the mushrooms and salsa verde. The service was great because it was quiet and the cocktails were good too. The Manager did tell me to come back and give them another go but considering I live on the other side of the bridge and have a few good pizza places over here I don't think I'll bother.

Bases are home-made and if you need it, they have gluten-free bases as well- wonderful. We got the Funghi Pesto which had mushrooms of course paired with pesto. Couldn't go past without getting some sides so got their moreish shoestring fries that came with porcini salt and aioli. We sat in the front with their leather wall couch and industrial metal chairs, right next to the floor to ceiling metal grate storage units. This made our own little cubby space and separate area from the more open dining space near the central outdoor patio. Beautifully displayed wholesale tomato cans, limoncello and other more practical goods stockpiled for an apocalypse. Had a similar theme with their drinks aisle on the way to the bar which makes for a good feature. Would love to come back in the evening to sit outdoors and do drinks or get a group together and hold down one of their long tables.

If you're in Auckland and a beer lover, this is worth the stop. Located in a quiet residential neighborhood, the big old factor is cozy and welcoming despite the large profile. They have areas of big comfy sofas, high top tables, and seating for any size group. You walk in along the offices, with restrooms toward the back.
