Amazing selection!!! Super friendly!!! Parking is tough around it, but it's worth driving for! read more

The kid loved this place. I like it less the fish are cool. The prices are ridiculously high and the fish don't mess. They die very fast. It's annoying. They don't care about it. They don't have a warranty system. They can give you a sick fish and you know nothing about it they should release the medical records for each Fish and also There generational genetic testing so we know exactly what Fish would background ethnicity what religion what language he speak read more

This place has been around forever and has some of the best corals I could find at reasonable prices. Hong and Nu are truly great at what they do and are always glad to help and answer questions. read more

Unmatched coral selection, very pricy but everything is aquacultured and super hardy. Clove polyps have always died in my tank but their fireworks are going still going strong so far read more

We used to come here a lot, and it is like every time we come in the women who works there knows we are into corals and really up charges us. Like we are talking twice the amount of any shop around or online for the exact same coral. She thinks can she can milk her customers which is why no reefers regularly shop at this place. Sucks because they could be doing way more business if they treated people better in the community. read more

It's definitely a cool location with some coral colors I've never seen. However, I'm not convinced that everything in there will be healthy for my tank. The Mandarin's belly looked full so that was encouraging. I didn't purchase anything despite the colors because they didn't have pricing everywhere. Not sure if I'm comfortable with that. ‍ read more

Lots and lots of frags ... cool ass owners ...will Def go back ... let's see how well these guys grow in my tank read more

My boyfriend I are complete newbies when it comes to keeping a reef tank. I'm talking about maybe 20 YT videos deep. When you first start off, research can get overwhelming. I prefer to talk to someone in person with experience. I went to, pretty much, all the specialty fish stores in the valley to seek out someone who was knowledgeable that would take the time to educate me. Hong and Nhu from Deep Blue Aquarium are, hands down, the most patient people I have spoken to. They know their shit, too! You can tell they really care about their store and giving their customers the right type of information as well as giving suggestions on what to look for if we decided to make purchases at another place. Wow! We followed their advice and now have a nice setup free from new tank syndrome. We got three designer clownfish from them and they are all doing extremely well. They make starting the hobby really easy and fun. Hong gave us great advice and offered information, I didn't even think about. He's not like the other people I have talked to that care more about the money in their wallet than the success of your tank. Very heartwarming. Their store is carefully look after and maintained. Great prices on frags and fish. You won't find any other people who take the time to talk to you as much as they do about the how-to's and why's of keeping a successful, quality reef tank. Looking forward to when we can start actually introducing their coral into our tank. They definitely have our all our business, we won't, and don't want, to go anywhere else. read more

Great LFS who definitely treat their customers right. Loyalty is rewarded! Great selection of frags and small colonies. Love having this store so close but also I hate having this store so close..lol. Spend all my money here on corals. They also stay open until 8 which is awesome since I don't usually get off work until later. Very convenient. Got my eye on that GMK! read more

This place is great for us selection however the lady who owns the place with her brother, changes get prices based on how she's feeling everytime I go in there the prices are different for example I went in there and asked about a coral and a fish and she had said the coral was 50 and the fish 45 I got something else but went back for then it was 80 for the coral and 75 for the fish and that happens everytime and it's usually was over priced for anything. read more

Just stopped by for the first time ever and I was blown away by the selection of frags! Literally anything you can think of! If you're looking for some smaller and affordable pieces to start filling your tank, you found the spot! Took home a handful, all doing well nearly a week later! When I can afford some of those anemones, I will be back :) read more

After i decade to change to reef tank i did research online about it and find out that it's easy and much better to speak with experts personally so i go to deep blue and met with hong and his sister and i got all the answers i need. Thank god I found that place it's over 2 month and my 180 gallons is full with corals and fish and everything looks great. The best with that place more than any others is that hong answer for question on his cell anytime I need. read more

Best selection of aquacultured corals in the west Valley, hands down. Love this place. Been coming here for years and I've never left disappointed. I highly recommend it! read more

Having moved from the Westside to Hollywood, I was looking for a LPS to meet all my reef needs. I saw Deep Blue Aquarium on Yelp and had to check them out. So glad I did - Hong and his sister are very nice, extremely knowledgeable and have one of the biggest varieties of SPS and LPS corals I've seen in LA. The tanks are always stocked with very reasonable corals (from frags to mature colonies). If you're looking for a deal, check out the fish in a bag sale on Sunday. Never know what they'll have but will always be delighted. A must every time I'm looking to add to my tank! read more

Good prices, very friendly and patient staff- worth a look if you live in LA and have a reef (or especially if you are building one). They have price breaks for buying multiples of 3 and 5 - great for beefing up your collection! They have a lot of grow out- which is a bummer if it's not ready for sale, but i now totally have stuff to look forward to! read more

Been going to the stores for a few years now, and I can't help but promote this little business online. They have a great selection of corals. for a small family owned business, The store is so small but filled with so much corals that they mostly grow. The prices are pretty good compared to other stores, especially the selection. He won't be disappointed. read more

A lot of potential but unfortunately the business seems to be going down hill. Hair algae in majority of the tanks and majority of the coral are bleaching. To top it off most of the corals I inquired about weren't even for sale? Prices are over the top! For example a orange/pink hammer was going for 300/head!!!! Don't get me wrong I would love to support small business owners but how can you when prices are much cheaper online and or from local hobbyist. It seemed like they truly don't care for business or their coral. They need put some effort into customer service as well. This place is probably more of a service company then a retail shop. Hopefully they can turn things around because i would rather shop at a business near me then drive over an hour south. read more

The store has an amazing selection and I had the best time looking around. The owner was beyond helpful and knowledgeable. Highly recommend visiting this store! read more

My mother and I have been going to every aquarium store we can find within the past two months. We have always loved freshwater fish and finally decided to give a saltwater tank a try. Out of all the stores we have been to, this one is by far the best! The lady running the store, Nu was extremely nice and patient with ALL of me and my moms questions. (We literally asked 200) We learned so much from her and you can tell this business truly cares about their customers and not just making money off you. All of their fish and corals are beautiful and well taken care of. We will be coming back to get our clownfish from here once our tank is fully cycled. We were truly taken back by the different types of clown fish they had. read more

This store is amazing! They have such a wide selection of corals and fish. The staff here won't rip you off and sell you stuff you don't need like other stores. I have found my one stop shop for coral and other supplies. read more

I walked into the store and was greeted by Hong. We talked for a minute about his anemones, Hong was so helpful. When I looked around I was shocked by how much inventory and selection of Corals he had, I was going to look over this place because of the lack of reviews, good thing this was the only store open today. I think I spent two hours there just looking at coral. If you're looking for coral this place is a must visit. read more

Really nice selection of healthy coral and fish. Tiny but tidy store and the owner was really nice and informative and helpful.

This is the only store I will buy corals from. They have a great selection and excellent customer service.

Largest selection of healthy bubble tip anemones that I have come across so far. Knowledgeable and very helpful people working here. Also great variety of other corals available SPS, LPS, and softies. Recommend a visit read more

This is now our preferred salt water fish place. Nu is a sweetheart, very patient with all the questions my son had about the clown fish, she even went the extra mile and offered him reading material for him to learn about Coral reef and stuff. We have been about over 10 fish stores in the Valley looking for small clown fish and we found them here. We are very happy. She is very knowledgeable and very helpful. So glad we found this place. read more

Today was my first time in this store and I must say, this store is great. Store is small but makes up for that in selection of dry goods, fish, and huge selection of Zoa, anemones, LPS, SPS corals. Pricey is fair, to just above fair in my opinion. Must important, the owner very knowledgeable and are willing to help you. Highly recommended, will be a returning customer. read more

It was so worth the drive up from Culver City! I discovered this place after going to Reef-A-Palooza and seeing some of their corals. Don't let the outside of the shop fool you it may be small but it's super packed of healthy corals. He has a diverse selection that is just BEAUTIFUL. This includes a large tank filled with a variety of anemones. I left with six new frags and will be coming back for more. read more

My friend and I have been on an aquarium shop binge and like to search Google maps for nearby aquarium shops. We've been to every shop in this area and we found this hidden gem. Really great pricing on coral and fish. Great coral selection with varying frag sizing/ pricing. His accessories are competitively priced with internet prices... I got my api saltwater master test kit cheaper than what Amazon offered so I'm pretty happy and definitely coming back! read more

Bought a couple of ORA designer clownfish. Out of all the saltwater fish stores in the SFV, this is one of the best. Great selection of corals too. It's all saltwater - no freshwater fish. read more

This is the BIGGEST little saltwater aquarium shop in SoCal! Might be little in square footage, but HUGE in selection and quality of corals and fish! Their Sunday's 30% off in the bag fish sale is not to be missed!! Hong Lam and his family are always warm, friendly and beyond helpful. Sometimes there are three generations of the Lam family plus the friendly pooch tending shop! A very rare thing in business nowadays. His prices ave very fain in both livestock and dry goods and Hong will usually match or beat competitors prices equipment and lights. There will always be the one customer that expects more than what is fair, but after numerous visits to this shop I have never been disappointed! Definitely on the top 3 on my lists of shops in the SoCal area! read more

After visiting all the LFS in the valley area this one has the cleanest most healthy tanks. The selection is vast and many of the corals are rare high quality pieces and are mostly all in house. The owner Hong is extremely knowledgable and patient, he will help guide you with honesty without any greed for selling unnecessary products. The amount of amazing frags will have your head spinning for days! read more

Extremely patient and knowledgeable would definitely stop here again on my next trip to LA

Was in the neighborhood and stopped by. So glad I did! Small shop with a huge selection!! I love that they advise you on what works and what doesn't. The prettiest fish are usually the hardest to keep and most tempting, they won't let you go home without knowing what you're getting yourself in to which is very refreshing from a LFS!! I found my new go to! Hong hooked me up with a sweet deal! Must stop in! read more

One of the best local fish stores here in San Fernando Valley! This is a family run business that's knowledgeable, friendly, and accommodating to their customers. If you have a reef or saltwater aquarium look no further! Hong has a wide variety of fish and corals including soft coral, LPS, and SPS. He also stocks dry goods from overseas like Siporax and more recently Aquaforest products from Poland. If you want something he can usually find it for you. Decided to check this place out instead of where i usually go. Very good place. They have TONS of anemones that are grown in store just like all of the corals. I needed some help on a problem in my tank and the owner was very helpful and let me know what to do. Small place but there is alot to it, i find it cool that they have mangroves because not too many places have them around here. They also have designer clowns straight from sea and reef and high quality dry good. 10/10 read more
