Each time I visit my daughter & SIL, this is the Deen we go too. The employees happily speak English for people like me visiting. Since my daughter lives here, she speaks Dutch. But, they still help if she gets a word wrong, or she's unsure. The produce is always fresh, the deli selection is great, and the have an okay sized baked good selection. I love that they carry most of the Tony's chocolate selections. I'm in heaven. My favorite chocolate in the world. Seriously!!! This Deen is within walking distance to my daughter's home. So, even though she is due any day, we can walk & get all the groceries we might need. Anything major, we wait until her partner is home, & he drives us to another Deen in Hoorn. Being a former employee, he knows which Deen is truly best. I love this store. I wish we had these back where I'm stuck living. read more
