Not impressed! I never have written a negative review after 46 trips around the sun. That is how bent out of shape I am over this! Deek's has been my wife's favorite for as long as I remember and we've both been buying pizza there since the late 90's. Opening a big old XXL pizza at 2 or 3 in the morning and seeing those square slices as the smell of melted mozzarella and perfect crust is so satisfying! Times are tough all over and money is tight for so many and Deek's has always kept their prices reasonable so on the rare occasion we are able to go out, or order pickup/delivery it's a good bet that we are getting Deek's! Well, that was the case tonight, well actually it was super early morning I guess(approximately 2:30). Knowing they close at three I quickly tried to download the app again as I've been trying to download it every time we've gotten pizza for the last two years and I'll tell whoever answers the phone that I'm having problems with it and they never have any helpful suggestions whatsoever, but I had to try it again and of course it didn't work so I called and I heard an annoyed, sounding voice answer "Deek's pizza". Knowing they would be closing at 3 I said I wanted to order a pizza for pickup. He repeated "pickup?" In the form of a question and I confirmed yes I was going to come pick it up. He asked me to hang on and was back on the phone within a few seconds and said i "OK but you'll have to pay the delivery fee". Caught off guard by what he said I asked "what"? He repeated himself and said that I would have to pay for the delivery fee. I told them to forget it and I just wait till tomorrow. I got off the phone and told my wife who was obviously disappointed, actually that's not the right word let's go with a cross between disgusted and outraged, as I said it's her favorite place to get pizza or eat out/order in in general really. Luckily I stopped her from calling and having a Chat with your employee about scamming customers. The hours are listed until 3 AM. I believe I called at 2:40, I know that's cutting it close but that's why I asked for pick up not delivery. I didn't want to be told it was too close to closing for a driver and they weren't doing deliveries nor did I want some young driver to have to stay late on a Friday night to deliver me a pizza I thought I was being nice by asking to pick up. I'm posting this complaint not just to complain or for other customers but also for so many businesses And for their employees because for some reason overtime things have changed and it feels like as a customer, we are expected to be grateful to get whatever we get whether it's good or bad, and accept the fact that our servers may have a bad attitude and make sure to tip at least 15% or run the risk of being blasted all over social media for being a lousy tipper. Wow how times have changed and I am sick of it! This was kind of the final straw! Like I said, I have never posted a negative review in my life nor have I been extorted to get a damned pizza! I didn't try and get a pizza after hours. I didn't ask to pick it up five minutes after closing I just asked for a pizza that I could come pick up which I would've paid for which helps keep the business open as that's what you do. Instead of getting a pizza, I got a lousy attitude and was treated like a junkie looking for a fix from a greedy dealer! I expect better from a local business who has been part of this community for years! I can't even count the amount of times I have recommended Deek's pizza nor can I remember how much money I have spent there over the years! If I'm being honest though, which I always am, it's the memories that bother me the most.Deek's pizza was there when I had my first beer. Deek's pizza was there at the last probably 20 Super Bowls. Dyk's pizza was there when my cousin had her baby. Deek's pizza was there for every hospital stay anyone in my family has ever had, every bachelor party I was ever at in Grand Forks, countless late nights after bar closing, after every date, good or bad. Deek's pizza was there after I lost my leg and the very first time I held my youngest boy etc... etc...etc...Do you see where I'm going with this? Have I made my point? Do I need to list more, cause I could go on for days! We love your restaurant, but your employee left such a sour taste in my mouth over eight dollars or whatever your current delivery fee is all of those memories are ruined because the only thing I remember about Deeks pizza is this incident and I don't know if I'll ever be in there again! Do yourself a favor and talk to your employees about how they should treat customers. Customers used to be treated with respect as they were the only reason a business could stay open. Due to my health issues and amputation we aren't able to do anything anymore really. It's been a very long time I've been able to take my wife out. Good cheap pizza Breadsticks are okay also They got good specials here and there, cheap food and it's okay for being cheap. Win win all around. Open late and decent delivery times too. But they need a MAJOr cleaning. We went in to pickup and place was gross! Dead flies, dirt, grime, grease all in front lobby, behind counter on floors, walls to the ceiling. After seeing the inside makes us not want to order. Close down for a day or two and do a major deep cleaning. Nasty, food places need higher standards. read more

Deek's is great! Hearty pizza with a great crust that's crispy and chewy at the same time. Good pricing for an XXL pizza. Breadsticks aren't amazing though, not seasoned with anything, just a stick of bread literally lol. My husband is in the in patient rehab and I wanted something ordered and Deek's was close. The pizza arrived within the delivery time and hot which was wonderful. I ordered the Mighty Meat with 2x the cheese. Not knowing how much a single serving of cheese was is a bit concerning since for me it could have had 3x, and the 2x was already $3.38 extra. If you love meat this is the pizza for you, lots of tasty meat, no complaints there real generous in that department. I would get it again. read more

I just wanna say thanks for being open late during the week. I worked an impromptu 16 hour day the other day after two of the longest weeks I've had in my life and all I wanted was pizza but since it was a weeknight at 2am everything was closed except you, and the food was AMAZING! I begin to miss the bigger cities that have 24 hour food places... Grand Forks is not one such town. Deek's retains it's place in town, largely because of it's ability to still deliver greasy food late at night when McDonald's should really still be open. The pizza's not great, but it's cheap, and the coupons you can occasionally get in the mail make it even cheaper. Just don't try to ingest this stuff unless you're starving or drunk. read more

The short: - terrible customer service. - tried to make us pay twice - pizza is mediocre We should have backed out as soon as we had to prepay for our delivery-- that seemed weird, but we decides to give them a chance. What followed would have been a comedy of errors, except we were hungry, we had already paid and we just weren't in a laughing mood. If you want to keep customers, you've got to own up to your mistakes and try to make things right. I waited for an hour and a half only to receive a cold pizza and breadsticks. At least the 2 liter of Pepsi wasn't warm. The pizza itself tasted OK but was not cut all the way through so it was a mess trying to pull the pieces apart. The breadsticks were decent but were soggy and cold due to the lenghty time they say out. If you are looking for good food in a timely manner, Deek's Pizza is not for you. However, if you are a poor twenty-year-old who has been up all night and wants a few greasy pizzas delivered to you for a few bucks, Deek's pizza is perfect for you. I grew up in Grand Forks and was back home to see the parents. Many of my friends are Deek's converts so I decided to give them a try and I will never look back. It's rare for me to be able to eat much pizza since I'm diabetic and most pizza places add sugar to everything. This is not the case with Deek's. I could have three slices for dinner and more for breakfast with no adverse affects to my blood sugar. My Pizza arrived fast and hot. Deek's, I wish I could take you back home with me to the Netherlands. Guess I'll jut have to enjoy you while I'm visiting. read more

Pizza is good! Delivery is generally fast. Some employees are better than others, we always tip very well to the ones that are on point! Buffalo wing sauce is awesome, wings are hit or miss. Not cooked well or lacking sauce. Don't bother ordering the breadsticks. read more

DANG! do NOT NOT NOT order the boneless "wings"! I ordered a 10 piece boneless wings with my pizza. I got 10 shriveled up breaded chicken chunks. For $7.00. Wow, peeved. Will not order these again.
