Not impressed! I never have written a negative review after 46 trips around the sun. That is how bent out of shape I am over this! Deek's has been my wife's favorite for as long as I remember and we've both been buying pizza there since the late 90's. Opening a big old XXL pizza at 2 or 3 in the morning and seeing those square slices as the smell of melted mozzarella and perfect crust is so satisfying! Times are tough all over and money is tight for so many and Deek's has always kept their prices reasonable so on the rare occasion we are able to go out, or order pickup/delivery it's a good bet that we are getting Deek's! Well, that was the case tonight, well actually it was super early morning I guess(approximately 2:30). Knowing they close at three I quickly tried to download the app again as I've been trying to download it every time we've gotten pizza for the last two years and I'll tell whoever answers the phone that I'm having problems with it and they never have any helpful suggestions whatsoever, but I had to try it again and of course it didn't work so I called and I heard an annoyed, sounding voice answer "Deek's pizza". Knowing they would be closing at 3 I said I wanted to order a pizza for pickup. He repeated "pickup?" In the form of a question and I confirmed yes I was going to come pick it up. He asked me to hang on and was back on the phone within a few seconds and said i "OK but you'll have to pay the delivery fee". Caught off guard by what he said I asked "what"? He repeated himself and said that I would have to pay for the delivery fee. I told them to forget it and I just wait till tomorrow. I got off the phone and told my wife who was obviously disappointed, actually that's not the right word let's go with a cross between disgusted and outraged, as I said it's her favorite place to get pizza or eat out/order in in general really. Luckily I stopped her from calling and having a Chat with your employee about scamming customers. The hours are listed until 3 AM. I believe I called at 2:40, I know that's cutting it close but that's why I asked for pick up not delivery. I didn't want to be told it was too close to closing for a driver and they weren't doing deliveries nor did I want some young driver to have to stay late on a Friday night to deliver me a pizza I thought I was being nice by asking to pick up. I'm posting this complaint not just to complain or for other customers but also for so many businesses And for their employees because for some reason overtime things have changed and it feels like as a customer, we are expected to be grateful to get whatever we get whether it's good or bad, and accept the fact that our servers may have a bad attitude and make sure to tip at least 15% or run the risk of being blasted all over social media for being a lousy tipper. Wow how times have changed and I am sick of it! This was kind of the final straw! Like I said, I have never posted a negative review in my life nor have I been extorted to get a damned pizza! I didn't try and get a pizza after hours. I didn't ask to pick it up five minutes after closing I just asked for a pizza that I could come pick up which I would've paid for which helps keep the business open as that's what you do. Instead of getting a pizza, I got a lousy attitude and was treated like a junkie looking for a fix from a greedy dealer! I expect better from a local business who has been part of this community for years! I can't even count the amount of times I have recommended Deek's pizza nor can I remember how much money I have spent there over the years! If I'm being honest though, which I always am, it's the memories that bother me the most.Deek's pizza was there when I had my first beer. Deek's pizza was there at the last probably 20 Super Bowls. Dyk's pizza was there when my cousin had her baby. Deek's pizza was there for every hospital stay anyone in my family has ever had, every bachelor party I was ever at in Grand Forks, countless late nights after bar closing, after every date, good or bad. Deek's pizza was there after I lost my leg and the very first time I held my youngest boy etc... etc...etc...Do you see where I'm going with this? Have I made my point? Do I need to list more, cause I could go on for days! We love your restaurant, but your employee left such a sour taste in my mouth over eight dollars or whatever your current delivery fee is all of those memories are ruined because the only thing I remember about Deeks pizza is this incident and I don't know if I'll ever be in there again! Do yourself a favor and talk to your employees about how they should treat customers. Customers used to be treated with respect as they were the only reason a business could stay open. Due to my health issues and amputation we aren't able to do anything anymore really. It's been a very long time I've been able to take my wife out. We had a little money and thought about it and choose Deek's instead. Thanks for the memories read more

Fast delivery service! Haven't ordered pizza for delivery from another business since moving back here! 6 months is straight Deeks! read more

Good cheap pizza Breadsticks are okay also They got good specials here and there, cheap food and it's okay for being cheap. Win win all around. Open late and decent delivery times too. But they need a MAJOr cleaning. We went in to pickup and place was gross! Dead flies, dirt, grime, grease all in front lobby, behind counter on floors, walls to the ceiling. After seeing the inside makes us not want to order. Close down for a day or two and do a major deep cleaning. Nasty, food places need higher standards. read more

The food is great ! Prices are reasonable! Friendly place! Nice and clean! Now that's enough compliments!!

If you're in Grand Forks, ND and you aren't somebody who likes the taste of those main chains (PapaJohns, Dominos, PizzaHut, ect)... then you should really give Deek's a try. Of the 100s of times I've ordered there over the years, I've never once had a bad experience. Prices are solid, and the pie is beautiful~ You can use the code 'STICKS' anytime for free breadsticks.. add that to one of their pizzas, and it's one helluva deal. Plus their ownership gives back to the community and sponsors plenty of non-profits and sports teams. Easy 5 Stars!! read more

I'm new to the area and ordered a pizza from Deek's. Fast and HOT pizza was delivered. I'm a pizza lover and to have a local place I can have my weekly pizza fix taken care of and it's delicious.. I'm a happy chick! I would of given a 5 star however my second time ordering I received the wrong pizza. I called and advised them and just chose to keep the wrong pizza because the wait was too long to get my original order. However.. still delicious read more

Deek's is delicious and the service was excellent! Yum! Love the selection, the warm delivery and the ease of ordering!

Sorry this pizza is not that great. Tastes like card board, barely any toppings, and is over priced.

These guys are fantastic! Even on a busy Saturday night they took an order for a specific time for a group of hard working guys. They checked in and were on time and delivered hot delicious food. You can't ask for more than that. This is your go to place for pizza combined with great, personal service! read more

Deek's is great! Hearty pizza with a great crust that's crispy and chewy at the same time. Good pricing for an XXL pizza. Breadsticks aren't amazing though, not seasoned with anything, just a stick of bread literally lol. Highly recommend the pizza though if you're a fan of medium thick crust and a bit of a sweeter pizza taste! Easy and quick pick up, take out/delivery only, no inside seating. Recommended! read more

I ordered Deek's xx large with delivery. So fast delivery I was shocked it got here so fast and hot. I swear it went from oven to here. Even bread sticks was hot. Definitely will order again and again read more

Tried to order tonight and the rudest guy answered the phone and was going to get deeks 3 topping , half and half he tried to tell me couldn't get different toppings on each side which is not how it works in which he screamed at me and said it does here not so much I've been a loyal customer for years read more

Great place for late night pizza. Wouldn't compare to rhombus guys or up north pizza but AMAZING during late night (drunk) pizza.

My husband is in the in patient rehab and I wanted something ordered and Deek's was close. The pizza arrived within the delivery time and hot which was wonderful. I ordered the Mighty Meat with 2x the cheese. Not knowing how much a single serving of cheese was is a bit concerning since for me it could have had 3x, and the 2x was already $3.38 extra. If you love meat this is the pizza for you, lots of tasty meat, no complaints there real generous in that department. I would get it again. read more

Hey, yo, Tom my man It's 3 AM and I'm stoned Wanna share some Deeks? (I'm a fan of Deek's pizza. I like the fact that this local pizza place can hold its own against the likes of the chain-stores like Pizza Hut and Dominoes. AND, I like that I can get some 'za delivered at 3:15 am if I'm in the need. Thanks for helping us all out, Deeks. We love you.) read more

As someone who's from out of state this pizza is not up to par. Maybe a double bogey but would only qualify as a birdie if you were drunk. Bread sticks absolute trash and I can only imagine them being ok if they were served fresh out the oven read more

I begin to miss the bigger cities that have 24 hour food places... Grand Forks is not one such town. Deek's retains it's place in town, largely because of it's ability to still deliver greasy food late at night when McDonald's should really still be open. The pizza's not great, but it's cheap, and the coupons you can occasionally get in the mail make it even cheaper. Just don't try to ingest this stuff unless you're starving or drunk. read more

I just wanna say thanks for being open late during the week. I worked an impromptu 16 hour day the other day after two of the longest weeks I've had in my life and all I wanted was pizza but since it was a weeknight at 2am everything was closed except you, and the food was AMAZING! (I got a BBQ chicken pizza and mozzarella sticks, the pizza was one of the best BBQ chicken ones in town that I've had) Thanks for being my saving grace, definitely earned yourself a new customer. read more

Never order from here! The short: - terrible customer service. - tried to make us pay twice - pizza is mediocre We should have backed out as soon as we had to prepay for our delivery-- that seemed weird, but we decides to give them a chance. What followed would have been a comedy of errors, except we were hungry, we had already paid and we just weren't in a laughing mood. If you want to keep customers, you've got to own up to your mistakes and try to make things right. Deek's seems to be most interested in trying to make you pay twice for their "cheap" pizza. read more

Arrived in time and was warm, perfect, and tasty. I am no college student, but we ordered late and were very impressed. Chicken bacon ranch pizza was amazing! Next time we are in GF, we'll be calling! read more

Deeks Pizza is my favorite Pizza Delivery in the greater Grand Forks, ND area. They're very reasonably priced.

The absolute best pizza in town bar none! Great wings, plus the prices are great! Delivery is always prompt! Pizza is always delivered hot! Thanks Deeks! read more

I waited for an hour and a half only to receive a cold pizza and breadsticks. At least the 2 liter of Pepsi wasn't warm. The pizza itself tasted OK but was not cut all the way through so it was a mess trying to pull the pieces apart. The breadsticks were decent but were soggy and cold due to the lenghty time they say out. If you are looking for good food in a timely manner, Deek's Pizza is not for you. However, if you are a poor twenty-year-old who has been up all night and wants a few greasy pizzas delivered to you for a few bucks, Deek's pizza is perfect for you. Fortunately for me, I fell under the latter tonight. read more

Ordered online in Grand Forks. Tipped well. Called the store directly to make sure that my address and order was correct, and never got my food. whoever answered the phone assured me that they corrected my address, phone number and that my food would be coming soon. Never got a phone call, and my food never came. If you're looking for a late night bite in Grand Forks, order dominos. This place will shaft you without a doubt. read more

Going out of my way to let you know how sick I am of your shitty commercials. "BEST PIZZA IN TOWN" they say... bull shit.. only thing worse than the actual pizza is the actors you chose in your commercial with pipsqueak joe in the backwards cap and the aviators. Music at the end of the commercial low key fire tho. read more

XXL Chicken Bacon Ranch is soooo good. Always hot.

My very first experience netted me a pizza that actually offended me, not just in taste, but in the fact that they sold it with a straight face. I did, however, give them a second chance. That being said, delivery is fast, Meat Treat has been consistently great and the drivers have been nice. The first pizza I ever ordered from them was a build-your-own and it was gross. I'm a little weird, so I got pepperoni, jalapenos and mushrooms. The pepperoni was insultingly spare. They went heavy on the jalapenos, but they were crunchy like I like. And the mushrooms were those little gross slimy ones you can get in a can for 88 cents at any grocery store. It also took forever to be delivered (I'm assuming they were out of mushrooms and had to run to any aforementioned store). All in all, it was the worst pizza I've ever had delivered. Don't get a custom pizza. Since then, I've ordered only the Meat Treat after my roommate begged me to try it again because she absolutely adores the place. She has been getting a tomato slice and tamato sauce-only pizza and has been happy for years. The Meat Treat is delicious and piled with toppings upon toppings. I guess because the specialty pizzas are made so often, or because they have a minimum amount of ingredients and explicit directions that workers can use...or perhaps I've just had a better pizza maker on subsequent orders. I'm glad I gave them a second chance, but if I get another bummer pizza, I'll have to move on permanently. Fool me once... They do mail you hand-signed gift certificates without your permission after you've ordered there, even if you didn't sign up for a perks account. I would be annoyed...except $5 off any pizza is fine by me. Because all my subsequent pizzas have been better than the first and my roommate has had no problems with them ever, I gave them three stars. read more

I grew up in Grand Forks and was back home to see the parents. Many of my friends are Deek's converts so I decided to give them a try and I will never look back. It's rare for me to be able to eat much pizza since I'm diabetic and most pizza places add sugar to everything. This is not the case with Deek's. I could have three slices for dinner and more for breakfast with no adverse affects to my blood sugar. My Pizza arrived fast and hot. Deek's, I wish I could take you back home with me to the Netherlands. Guess I'll jut have to enjoy you while I'm visiting. read more

Pizza is good! Delivery is generally fast. Some employees are better than others, we always tip very well to the ones that are on point! Buffalo wing sauce is awesome, wings are hit or miss. Not cooked well or lacking sauce. Don't bother ordering the breadsticks. read more

Deeks has amazing pizza quality is always great and great fast friendly service we choose deeks over any other pizza place in town

They always have coupons for cheap pizza, and deliver really late... So they're great for students in the dorms. But, the pizza isn't very good (and sometimes a little hairy...) ick. read more

We always have a positive experience with Deeks. They aren't my favorite pizza place so I can't give them 5 stars, but we order their food regularly. Every month or so we get Deeks delivered. Huge pizza, wings, and a 2 liter soda for a little over $20. It always comes on time and is tasty. Thanks Deeks! read more

DANG! do NOT NOT NOT order the boneless "wings"! I ordered a 10 piece boneless wings with my pizza. I got 10 shriveled up breaded chicken chunks. For $7.00. Wow, peeved. Will not order these again. I'll post a pic up here. You guys gotta see these. Also, we ordered online. The total gave to us online was 22-something. Our total at the door was 26-something! Sorry to our delivery driver! We wrote 5 bucks into the check before the driver got there and yea, our driver got short changed big time. Delivery was prompt and our driver was very polite. Ugh wish I had cash on hand to make it up to him. But buyer beware, what you see on line isn't what you'll pay in person. The pizza itself was very good. Looked and tasted fresh. Super disappointed in the price thing and the chicken wings weren't even close to wings. Chicken nuggets from mcdonalds look 10 times better than these things. Pizza was good but overall this was a disaster. Probably won't order again. read more

I like to try new pizza joints where ever I go so being at the Univeristy of North Dakota for a couple weeks for lab work presented that opportunity. At first it was ok, but the olives are clearly not fresh. They have that "been canned for years" flavor and the mushrooms are defintley not fresh. It was fast service and delivery, but... meh, i've had way better. read more

Great pizza for the price... But Customer Service on the phone was challenging .... Must have been busy when we called...

The best late-night pizza in Grand Forks! I highly recommend the ham and pineapple. Overall the service is fast, simple, and fairly priced.

Great Pizza!! Ive tried most of the pizza joints in town. Deek's is at the top of my list for taste, sauce and crust. Delivery drivers seem fast and friendly. read more

Deek's supreme pizza is unlike any other. Website could use some improvements, but their actual service leaves little to complain about.

Very good fresh pizza with a good mix of cheese and sauce with a solid crust. Also excellent cheese stuffed bread sticks. Pizza doesn't always reheat the best but very good when eaten fresh. Price is good and you get a good amount of pizza for what you spend read more
