My wife and I are from Indiana. We came to Grand Forks for my nieces high school graduation. We heard that half brothers brewing Company was a great place to meet and greet when we arrived. It's a rather small place with maybe 15 to 20 tables with high tops and low top tables. Bartender was from Wisconsin and she was absolutely awesome. She went through the beer menu with us. She gave the girls samples and the girls loved their beer. I had their IPA and it was delicious. The food menu also looked very good but we did not eat. the atmosphere was light friendly and was a good place to eat and drink. if I ever get back to Grand Forks North Dakota I will definitely stop in again and have a beer.

Came in to Half Brothers on a rainy evening and they were doing good business. A large group birthday party and a few others couples. My server was in training but was plenty attentive. Funny moment: he would consistently ask if I needed another beer even when the one I was currently sipping on was probably 80% full. I'm good, my guy. I enjoyed two beers the Harvester of Sour and the Morning Dreams. Both were sours and had great flavor and tang. I had their slice of the day which had bbq sauce, Canadian bacon, pineapple, red pepper, and mozz. Pretty tasty and a nice sized slice. If you're looking for a local place for some brews and bites, Half Brothers is a great option.

Great beer. I had a punk rock hazy IPA which I really enjoyed. Atmosphere was great. Service was good. We started with the pretzel bites. They were very tasty along with the beer cheese dip. They did not last long at the table. The pizza unfortunately did not taste as good at it looked coming out. Pre-made crust that could have been frozen, but tasted dry. Bottom slightly burnt The Margareta pizza was strange. Like there were no spices or flavoring on it. Just plain tomato topped with cheese.. The garlic chicken was not much better. Basically very disappointed in the pizza, maybe it was an off night. Kudos for the beers left for the fallen soldiers. That was pretty classy...

Amazing pizza and a wide selection of great beer. It's a must eat at least once a week.

Great staff, EXCELLENT pizza and nachos, and so many fun beers to try. Such a fun place to bring our kids and play a game while trying out all the fun new beers the brewers come up with. Personal faves are Pickle Rickle & the Gose Sour series! I've had great interactions with the staff when asking questions on beers the recommend too! I haven't been to a live music event here but I have heard great things about them!

How fun is this place?!?! So spacious and I love the band stage and game area in the back. We sat out on the patio and I loved the picnic tables and cornhole. I love that it's family friendly too. Order your food and drinks before you pick your seat and they give you a pager to buzz when it's ready. I don't drink beer so I was hoping they would have hard cider so I could at least try something while here. The guy at the ordering area suggested I sample the sours so I did. He gave me a taste of the French toast and the mystery fruit. The French toast was insane it tasted like you just ate a piece of French toast and drank right after. I love sweet stuff but it was too sweet for me. The mystery fruit changes throughout the day so when it was poured for me it was different from this morning. It was clementine flavored. It was pretty good and not too overpowering. I ordered the smallest size possible (10oz) and still couldn't finish it lol. I ordered the insalata pizza and the pretzel bites. The pizza was interesting combo of sweet and salty with the raspberries and goat cheese. The crust was good and the edges were nice and crispy. I really enjoyed the whole thing. The pretzel bites tasted more like balls of pizza dough than pretzels but were nice and plump and chewy with a crisp shell. The beer cheese sauce was a bit salty but still good. Eating with friends and others ordered the margherita, the chips and salsa and the cheese/meat sampler platter. They all enjoyed their meals but the hummus was also really salty and the chips were just a box store bag of chips nothing special. The staff is super friendly and we really enjoyed the atmosphere. The tables don't seem to get bussed often enough but that was really the only obvious negative thing. And other than the food being a bit salty it was all really delicious. I wish we had a spot like this back home!

Check out the colors of those beers! The berry beer sour is fruity and tarty in a pleasant way, the first sour beer I actually love... a must try! The double hazy is also out of this world, fruit and balanced hoppy. The wings are great but over priced especially given the blue cheese is watered down. The pizza is thin crust, a good deal considering 'a slice' is a quarter of the whole pizza. The manager knows his beers which is nice. I quite appreciate the real silverware, real porcelain plates and beer glasses, a treat indeed!

My fiancé and I enjoyed our experience at Half Brothers. The service was great, the staff would check in on us and make sure we were taken care of, and they were all incredibly polite. As for the food, it's not bad. I think there's room for improvement, but I wouldn't mind coming again. The pretzel bites were delicious with a good texture and flavor. We opted to pair it with the marinara sauce, and that didn't have a lot going for it. The marinara sauce tasted almost like straight tomato paste, so we'll probably try a different pairing with the pretzels next time. The pizza was a good portion, but my only critique was that the meat seemed to be added sparingly,. It was basically like one slice of pepperoni per slice. Last, but not least, we also got the brat flight. I was pleasantly surprised by the blueberry brat because I thought the flavor pairing was quite unusual, but it turned out to be my favorite of the three (blueberry, jalapeño cheddar, and original). I only wish that the flight came with some toppings automatically so that is isn't just meat and a bun. I think sauerkraut or a slaw would have been a nice option to give a little brightness and crunch. The flavors were great, the brats were flavorful and juicy, and the sausage to bread ratio was great. Overall, we had a good experience and would come again.

    Raspberry sour! Yum!

Excellent beers! I especially love their fruited sours. But, I wanted a special pizza and they just refused to do it! I wanted them to add sauerkraut to their pepperoni and sausage pizza. They have the sauerkraut but say it's only for sandwiches. They could make the pizza without the kraut and sell me a bowl of sauerkraut on the side. They won't bake the pizza with the kraut for some very strange reason. So, they didn't sell me a pizza. Makes sense, right?

That's a Punk Rock Princess and a Pump up the Jamz. Great beer, super friendly staff.

This is an excellent place to hang out, play cards with the guys and watch the game. The staff is friendly, the beer is amazing and the pizza made right in front of you. The perfect spot to hangout on a cold, snowy North Dakota Saturday night.

Halfbrothers supplied the beer for the beer floats! Talk about thinking outside the box! They make a delicious coffee stout when they get around to it! I rated this a 4 star because the pizza just doesn't do it. The crust is too thick and it was over cooked. They need to find their own recipe that screams yum!!! The manager that I met was a very nice man!!

We did not enjoy the menu items here. For such high prices we were expecting higher quality food. The beers were good. The corn dog kids meal was the best of the 3 meals we ordered. The meatball was bland and smothered in an over-seasoned sweet marinara and served with a good tasting loaf of bread and a huge cup of margarine. The cheese pizza was heavy on the same over-seasoned sauce and very light on the cheese. So light on the cheese that it mostly tasted like saucy crust. The crust was yummy. The chips and salsa were very expensive for pre-made chips and a small amount of mediocre salsa. Stars given for the beers, the atmosphere (they have games), the crust, and the kids meal.

They don't mention specials or happy hour, we as customers should not have to ask and when we do, staff should know them. The lighting is way too dark at night especially by the booths, can't even read the menus. Lighting needs improvement, also add TVs by the booths. Prices are still decent, but 2 pies, a side and few drinks shouldn't be $90 with a special discount applied, can get more for same or less elsewhere. Servers should be cleaning tables as we sit, bringing proper utensils, napkins and did they get rid of the pizza holders to make room at tables? Also bring back Wine for us Women.

The flavor combinations are awesome and the crust is delicious. The meatball pizza, the most "traditional" pizza we tried, had a delicious red sauce and the meatballs are great. The Schnitzengiggles Pizza has Bechamel, Canadian bacon, bacon, kraut, 1000 Island. Served with a little char on it. My favorite part is the kraut...I wish it had more!! The General Tso Pizza comes with general tso sauce / garlic chicken / red onion / broccoli / cilantro / shredded carrots / sweet chili / sesame seeds. The pizza has a nice sauce but I was expecting chunks of chicken. Lastly, but not least, was the Tiki-za pizza which has red sauce, smoked chicken, pineapple, jalapeno, sweet chili, peppers, cilantro. Served with a little char on it. Honestly, it is hard to choose a favorite but I liked the TikiZa the best followed by the meatball. Honestly, they're all great. I also got the People Eater drink which was a sour . I don't particularly like sweet drinks so this was great.

Not impressed! I never have written a negative review after 46 trips around the sun. That is how…read morebent out of shape I am over this! Deek's has been my wife's favorite for as long as I remember and we've both been buying pizza there since the late 90's. Opening a big old XXL pizza at 2 or 3 in the morning and seeing those square slices as the smell of melted mozzarella and perfect crust is so satisfying! Times are tough all over and money is tight for so many and Deek's has always kept their prices reasonable so on the rare occasion we are able to go out, or order pickup/delivery it's a good bet that we are getting Deek's! Well, that was the case tonight, well actually it was super early morning I guess(approximately 2:30). Knowing they close at three I quickly tried to download the app again as I've been trying to download it every time we've gotten pizza for the last two years and I'll tell whoever answers the phone that I'm having problems with it and they never have any helpful suggestions whatsoever, but I had to try it again and of course it didn't work so I called and I heard an annoyed, sounding voice answer "Deek's pizza". Knowing they would be closing at 3 I said I wanted to order a pizza for pickup. He repeated "pickup?" In the form of a question and I confirmed yes I was going to come pick it up. He asked me to hang on and was back on the phone within a few seconds and said i "OK but you'll have to pay the delivery fee". Caught off guard by what he said I asked "what"? He repeated himself and said that I would have to pay for the delivery fee. I told them to forget it and I just wait till tomorrow. I got off the phone and told my wife who was obviously disappointed, actually that's not the right word let's go with a cross between disgusted and outraged, as I said it's her favorite place to get pizza or eat out/order in in general really. Luckily I stopped her from calling and having a Chat with your employee about scamming customers. The hours are listed until 3 AM. I believe I called at 2:40, I know that's cutting it close but that's why I asked for pick up not delivery. I didn't want to be told it was too close to closing for a driver and they weren't doing deliveries nor did I want some young driver to have to stay late on a Friday night to deliver me a pizza I thought I was being nice by asking to pick up. I'm posting this complaint not just to complain or for other customers but also for so many businesses And for their employees because for some reason overtime things have changed and it feels like as a customer, we are expected to be grateful to get whatever we get whether it's good or bad, and accept the fact that our servers may have a bad attitude and make sure to tip at least 15% or run the risk of being blasted all over social media for being a lousy tipper. Wow how times have changed and I am sick of it! This was kind of the final straw! Like I said, I have never posted a negative review in my life nor have I been extorted to get a damned pizza! I didn't try and get a pizza after hours. I didn't ask to pick it up five minutes after closing I just asked for a pizza that I could come pick up which I would've paid for which helps keep the business open as that's what you do. Instead of getting a pizza, I got a lousy attitude and was treated like a junkie looking for a fix from a greedy dealer! I expect better from a local business who has been part of this community for years! I can't even count the amount of times I have recommended Deek's pizza nor can I remember how much money I have spent there over the years! If I'm being honest though, which I always am, it's the memories that bother me the most.Deek's pizza was there when I had my first beer. Deek's pizza was there at the last probably 20 Super Bowls. Dyk's pizza was there when my cousin had her baby. Deek's pizza was there for every hospital stay anyone in my family has ever had, every bachelor party I was ever at in Grand Forks, countless late nights after bar closing, after every date, good or bad. Deek's pizza was there after I lost my leg and the very first time I held my youngest boy etc... etc...etc...Do you see where I'm going with this? Have I made my point? Do I need to list more, cause I could go on for days! We love your restaurant, but your employee left such a sour taste in my mouth over eight dollars or whatever your current delivery fee is all of those memories are ruined because the only thing I remember about Deeks pizza is this incident and I don't know if I'll ever be in there again! Do yourself a favor and talk to your employees about how they should treat customers. Customers used to be treated with respect as they were the only reason a business could stay open. Due to my health issues and amputation we aren't able to do anything anymore really. It's been a very long time I've been able to take my wife out. We had a little money and thought about it and choose Deek's instead. Thanks for the memories
