The 7 piece unseasoned chicken "strips"

The pizza is always spot-on here. Whenever I order just pizza, I know I'm gonna get good. The problem with this place comes when I order anything besides pizza. 90% of the time, if we order dipping sauces or drinks, they don't show up. I'm hesitant on ordering from here just because of that, because we always order those things, pay for them, but they aren't there. While these things are almost always missing, if we make a complaint, the owner/manager/whoever operates the place, really DOES make it right, but that's getting old. Get things right the first time so we can enjoy the meal. Also, tonite we got the 7 chicken strips for $5. I was leary for $5, but reviews online were great. Yeah.. these things are like 7 chicken nuggets. For 5 bucks, I don't feel burned, but you def aren't gonna get what you expect. While ok taste, probably won't order these again, too small. Cliff notes, the pizza is always good, consistent. Any extras you order are up in the air.

They don't mention specials or happy hour, we as customers should not have to ask and when we do, staff should know them. The lighting is way too dark at night especially by the booths, can't even read the menus. Lighting needs improvement, also add TVs by the booths. Prices are still decent, but 2 pies, a side and few drinks shouldn't be $90 with a special discount applied, can get more for same or less elsewhere. Servers should be cleaning tables as we sit, bringing proper utensils, napkins and did they get rid of the pizza holders to make room at tables? Also bring back Wine for us Women.

What can I say about Up North Pizza! This is such a great, fun place to eat!…read more While visiting Grand Forks, my daughter and her husband took us here to try some fun pizzas. The flavor combinations are awesome and the crust is delicious. The meatball pizza, the most "traditional" pizza we tried, had a delicious red sauce and the meatballs are great. The Schnitzengiggles Pizza has Bechamel, Canadian bacon, bacon, kraut, 1000 Island. Served with a little char on it. My favorite part is the kraut...I wish it had more!! The General Tso Pizza comes with general tso sauce / garlic chicken / red onion / broccoli / cilantro / shredded carrots / sweet chili / sesame seeds. The pizza has a nice sauce but I was expecting chunks of chicken. Lastly, but not least, was the Tiki-za pizza which has red sauce, smoked chicken, pineapple, jalapeno, sweet chili, peppers, cilantro. Served with a little char on it. Honestly, it is hard to choose a favorite but I liked the TikiZa the best followed by the meatball. Honestly, they're all great. I also got the People Eater drink which was a sour . I don't particularly like sweet drinks so this was great.

Tips: - If you are new to Texas Roadhouse, you get the…read moreultimate treatment. You get to sample any three sides for free! - If you buy a gift card, it never expires. - Service was stellar. If I could give a million stars to an eatery on Yelp, it would be this one. A couple of Fridays ago, I had a long travel day. Since airfare between Toronto and Minneapolis was still highway robbery during a seat sale, I chose the cheaper option of flying between Toronto and Winnipeg, and doing a road trip between Winnipeg and Minneapolis. Cheaper. I also like to drive. My day started at 4:40 am Eastern. I got to Winnipeg just before 10 am. I was ready for food by the time I got to Grand Forks, which is almost the midpoint between Winnipeg and Minneapolis. Friends have told me to go visit Texas Roadhouse. What did it for me was seeing my Yelp friend, Guy, take a photo of a beautifully cooked sirloin steak. I wanted it. Badly. I've done this route between Winnipeg and Rochester, MN countless times. However, I was a bit rusty with a rest stop just north of Grand Forks. I forgot that it's shared with northbound and southbound traffic, so I needed to turn left to access it instead of right. I didn't bother slamming on the brakes and going into a tailspin. It was cold and the ramp was icy. My bladder needed attention by the time I got to his eatery. I backed into a snow-covered, frozen parking spot and walked in. I got a woman at the front. She asked me if I was okay with bar seating. I said that I was if this eatery was full. It wasn't at roughly 2 pm on a Friday. I asked for a booth instead. I got a man taking me to the booth. We passed by a display of raw steaks. "Did you want to pick out your steak?" he asked me. "I'd need to see a menu. It's my first time here," I replied. I saw the washrooms after I asked him where they were. He asked me if I wanted peanuts. I said yes. I basically took off my jacket and attended to my bladder. The women's washroom was clean. I used it again just before I hit the road. The booth that I was in was comfy. I got a bag of peanuts with the shells on. I had one bag during my stay in Minneapolis. Delicious! I got rolls to start. Each roll was fluffy and warm, slightly sweet, with butter brushed on top. They come with cinnamon honey butter, which was to-die-for delectable. Savanna was my server.Communication between staffers was incredible. She found out that I was a newbie. She said that I could sample three sides for free. Wow! I tried the following samplers: - Texas red chili - Green beans - Mushrooms Excellent! The chili was flavourful and had ground beef. The green beans were perfectly done with bacon. The mushrooms were hearty and yummy. The sampler was brought out by the Mia, the marketing manager. I got an offer for a free side dish the next time. She was friendly. I wasn't expecting such a warm welcome. They likely don't get too many travellers these days, especially from Canada. I order the following for my meal: - 8-ounce sirloin with garlic shrimp, garlic bread, corn, and apple sauce - Diet Coke I got my Diet Coke with my peanuts and rolls. It was fizzy and cold. I got refills often. My meal came with two sides. I loved the corn and apple sauce. The former had butter. The latter was my dessert because my meal was exceptionally filling! My main had arrived. I got the sirloin steak medium. It was flavourful and perfectly done. My mouth is watering as I long for another sirloin from this place. Savanna got me sauteed onions on the side. They were excellent with the steak and were complimentary. The garlic bread under everything was a surprise hit. They were garlicky and buttery. I still think about it. There was a gift card promotion. If I bought a $30 gift card, I got $5 for free. Gift cards don't expire and can be used at any Texas Roadhouse. I said yes. I settled the bill at the table. There was a payment system that worked efficiently. I tapped and was done. My server took service to a whole new level. She asked me where I was coming from. I told her my story. She was so thrilled to have me. She asked if she could send me off with a fresh order of rolls. OMG! I felt like I got the VIP treatment. It was so kind. I got four rolls with a side of cinnamon honey butter in a box, all packed up for me. She also threw in another bag of peanuts. I had them for breakfast. They were so perfect warmed up. I slathered the cinnamon honey butter like the world was going to end. Fabulous! For someone who just wanted to rest her eyes from staring at flat land for hours and get some grub, this place made me feel special. I don't know if they do that for tourists like this Canadian or it's the usual treatment. I loved it. Thanks to everyone for making my first Texas Roadhouse experience a special and wonderful one. When I'm doing this run again, I'll definitely return for more good eats. (487)

This Texas Roadhouse is definitely a mixed bag. Because of its location in Grand Forks, it feels…read morelike there are not a lot of other sit down options, so they get a huge amount of foot traffic on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday. It gets busy enough that it can feel extremely annoying and unreasonable at times. Parking is difficult during the heavier hours and the waitlist can be up to an hour, which I have experienced multiple times. As for the inside, it is a typical Texas Roadhouse. The service is OK and the food is also just kind of OK. I have tried the prime rib here before and I do not recommend it. The flavor is not great and I have had much better prime rib at many other restaurants. I also do not know if I recommend getting a steak here in general since it feels overpriced for what you get. I do recommend getting the chicken fried steak, which is one of my favorite items here, or one of the burgers since they do a good job with those. And definitely load up on the sweet rolls, which are my absolute favorite part of this place. I would skip dessert since it is not that great. Overall it is fine, but the crowds and long waits make it a tough choice unless you are craving something specific.

This concerns the cashier, older lady with a big neck tattoo and the tall skinny 45 year old looking guy that have worked there awhile. They were complaining about the day to customers when we entered . Short story they jumbled the order for myself, wife and 2 kids. Told them it was incorrect (was supposed to be 4 piece tender meals NOT 4 piece mixed meals) and the lady started arguing letting me know I'm making it up not telling the truth. Told her no bluntly. We ordered multiple tender meals. The guy comes around the corner dropping "fuck this" bombs like a wild man. Says he doesn't like how we look and how we are looking at them ( I'm a 49 year old dude with my middle school kids haha). He drops more fuck bombs...I reminded him I'm in several times a week sometimes and he had waited on me before no problem....more fuck bombs. I say refund me we will leave..wife comes from table at this point. He says shut the fuck up to us. I'm like dude you escalated this and are dropping the bombs, no need to be dooshy. With gets me" a you ain't getting your fucking money back" from him. Then the very polite person who identified as one of the assistant managers comes to try to refund us. A very nice lady, food prep, from around back comes to apologize and I tell her she did nothing wrong but thank you and the guy is the problem.
