I will definitely be back in 2 years for renewal!

I'm a nurse and have had many rounds of renewing these certifications at different places in other states I have lived. It's usually been a draining process and takes a lot of time. Code One made it so efficient and I was able to do the learning portions online during my own time, then the skills test was done at an appointment that I chose that fit my schedule. The appointment was at their office location off Glenridge. I chose the virtual instructor testing session because I hadn't done the skills testing with the automated system before. Sean was my instructor and he was so helpful and friendly. He helped me go through each round of testing and it was a very smooth and efficient process. I received my certifications via text and email not long after my skills testing. I couldn't believe how straight forward the whole process was compared to my previous experiences and I will absolutely use Code One again for future renewals!

I took the BLS for healthcare providers course with Georgia CPR as a requirement for my schooling…read more The location was close to me in Decatur and there was plenty of parking. There were signs leading up to the location which helped a lot. The woman that was in charge of the training was awesome! She was very engaging and made something I considered a chore on a Saturday morning ACTUALLY feel fun! The time flew by and she actually engages the course takers rather than just making us watch videos the whole time. I have taken a lot of BLS courses in my life and I have to say this was one of the best! I actually learned better techniques for my practise and appreciate the time put into making this course fruitful! The room was pretty full but each of us got a lot of practical experience which I really appreciated. If you were doing something wrong, the instructor would help you out and her tips were very useful! This course was well priced, of high quality, and I would recommend anyone in the area choose this one!

After finding out about Georgia CPR, I asked my gym if they would offer a CPR/First Aid/AED training for us members. Management thought it was a good idea so they set everything up. Last week Jennifer brought all the necessary equipment to the gym and shared so much information. I haven't been certified since Health class in high school so I was glad for the refresher. Jennifer explained and demonstrated everything very well. She was amazingly patient with all the questions people were asking. Especially so with all the bizarre "what-if" scenarios my classmates were worried about happening. I cannot recommend her and Georgia CPR enough. Hopefully my gym will continue to offer this program in the future, if not, then I'll happily drive to Georgia CPR for recertification. Fantastic job, Jennifer!

Flash forward a few months later and a global pandemic shuts the shop down. Here's where the issue is. I sent upwards of a dozen emails over the past few months inquiring into the status of the shop, prepaid workshops etc. only to find out that the shop had closed. No mention of when they would reopen, what they would do with the funds I have already paid for the workshop. I completely get the wacky state of our environment, and sympathize with places closing. What I do not comprehend is awful/complete lack of communication. I really wanted to work with you and take your cube class, and then really get into forging. But, not if communication is going to be like this. Good luck on your new shop, but please return my money before legal action needs to be taken. I'm struggling too, and am just asking for my money to be returned, considering what I paid for can no longer be provided.

I found the class through CourseHorse and was able to sign up last minute the day before with no problems. I arrived to the class about 5 minutes early, the perfect amount of time to put my stuff in one of the lockers and pick out a coat to wear. The studio is the real deal--tons of metal, machines, and not much else. Heed the instructions provided in the intro email and wear long pants, boots, and a long sleeve shirt. Other than that, no need to bring anything else, just a positive attitude. Alex was our instructor and did a good job of explaining the basics in an easy and down to earth manner. My class only had 3 other students, which meant we each got our own welding machine and didn't have to share. The shop follows the necessary safety precautions and will give you eye protection as well as hearing protection. When it is time to weld, you will use one of the special welding hoods. I had a lot of 1:1 attention by the instructor, who gave helpful tips and advice. We worked the full four hours to create a steel cube. The experience was fun, informative and unique. After taking the intro course, one can sign up for open shop time, which I plan to do. For the price, this is a great choice for anyone looking to learn more about welding and working with metal.
