A hot mess! The start date for class was postponed two weeks later the day BEFORE the original…read morestart date because of a "family emergency". Two weeks later we're told we have a new instructor just for the second day another family emergency occurs with her which isn't her fault. However the following day everyone is waiting outside the locked doors 15 minutes after class was supposed to start because no one's there! No lights, doors locked, no one was answering our calls, no emails or a heads up, nothing! Our class of 25 dropped to 8 that following week because the lack of unprofessionalism and communication was absurd. The one saving grace out of this school was our instructor Miss Terri. She went above and beyond making sure we weren't behind on our course due to the inconveniences that occurred that disrupted our learning days. She was patient, understanding, and lit up the classroom with her lively energy. If it wasn't for her I think the course would've been postponed again for god knows how long until they found another teacher on short notice, she saved my time and made sticking through the struggles worth it. I couldn't be more grateful but besides that I would not recommend. The lack of communication was terrible from the people in charge and even though Google reviews has a high rating (god knows how) I recommend going somewhere else for these kind of certifications. Yes it might cost a bit more but trust no low price is worth the headache and uncertainty.

My husband and I first learned about Kumon from one of his friends, whose child was enrolled in the…read moreprogram. This particular child was excelling far above his peers in both reading and math, and my husband took note of this. Upon doing some research ourselves about the Kumon approach to math and reading enrichment, my husband and I decided to tour a few of the locations nearest our home. Upon first arriving to the Lawrenceville/Collins Hill location, we were greeted by the director, Lubna Momin. Lubna shared a brief history of the program as well as how children naturally progress at their own pace through the various levels. Next, my son was given an initial assessment to evaluate what level he was currently in. This was free, and it took between 30-45 minutes. My husband and I waited for him in the lobby during this time. When my son finished his assessment with Lubna, she came out to the lobby to share the results with us, and shared suggestions on which level he could start on if we decided to move forward. We went home and thought about it for a week or so, as it is a commitment of both time and resources, but ultimately decided that this was a step we felt we should take if we wanted our son to truly be equipped academically for Kindergarten and the years following. Our son has been enrolled in the Lawerenceville/Collins Hill Kumon location since February, and we are so glad we made this decision. He completes 1 reading packet and 1 math packet at home every day, and 2 days a week goes to the Kumon Center for 1 hour to do his work alongside the teachers and his peers. He currently reads at a 1st grade reading level and is successfully working through 2nd grade level math as a Kindergartener! We are so proud of him and truly credit his success to Kumon. My family and I are so very grateful to the staff at this Kumon location, especially the director, Lubna. If you want your child to get ahead, or, if your child is beginning to struggle in school and just needs a bit of help to get to where they need to be, we highly recommend Kumon! They have sent my nephew to the wrong address more than once. After reporting address change. He is 5 years old. The teachers aren't taking enough action in the care of these young children. He also came home with dried up blood on the back of his head from injuring himself at school. The teachers did not report this to his parents nor did they send him to get looked at. The principle isn't even making it her duty to speak to the parents in a timely manner, to get the issues straightened out and handled. His parents will be reporting to the Board of Education about this. Do not send your kids here.

Just finished the 7 day course on futures trading, instructed by Michelle…read more This course was intense, since there is such a wide scope of trading considerations in the futures environment. Michelle, the master of all, took us through the various trades - oil, beef, currencies, indexes, precious metals, corn, et al. Each has distinct attributes, but all can be done in the trading environment. Michelle would spend half the time instructing, and half the time making us actually create and execute trade tickets in a simulated market environment. So at the end of the course, I walked out knowing what i don't know and how to stay on the course to become a trader. The facility is great, the beverages and snacks give some energy, lunch is free and choices of sandwiches and salads. I highly recommend this course of instruction for those who desire. I can't imagine how it could be any better than the OTA approach. Also, cudos to the front desk - Ashton and Brittany - for keeping us on track throughout the week.

The 2nd hour, we practiced with 4 types of handguns in the shooting range. Also learned a bit about the legalities and GA laws about firearms. Previous: The Women's Handgun 101 class was good & very helpful. I feel better prepared & will practice the firearm basics I learned. I plan to sign up for the 102 class when one is available in my area.

This was my second experience handling guns, when I attended the Pistols 101 course with Michelle…read morethis weekend. The class was from 8-10AM and by the time everyone was settled and ready for the course, it started about 5 minutes later. We went over the basics of pistols, the laws surrounding it, and how to get our gun permit in the state of GA. We also all learned how to load a magazine with bullets. Then we all got to shoot two magazines with 9mm handguns. Very informative. Though I was tired, I got some pretty good shots and left the class more educated about the gun laws in my state than I did when I got there.
