Kind of expensive, and clueless.
I went into Decwells with a view to getting a number of things. First of all, a padlock. Next, a length of cable, and finally, a little yokey to be stuck on the cable (and to be fair to them, even though that was essentially the description that I gave them, they were able to figure out what I was talking about).
The padlocks were well over the odds, €5 for the smallest one, which was useless; you'd need to spend about €12 to get a decent one. So I decided to get that elsewhere. So Decwells failed as to padlocks.
I don't what the going rate for lengths of cable and little yokies is, but it wasn't overly expensive, so that was grand. But, as I said earlier, I wanted the cable and the little yokey to be attached; for the cable to be put in through one side of the little yokey, and out through the other, leaving a little loop, and the yokey crimped onto the cable to hold it in place. That was my purpose for buying the cable and yokey. The man said that he couldn't crimp it for me, that I would have to do it myself. I mean, how could he possibly not have the facilities to crimp a small piece of metal in a hardware, yet he expects me to be able to do it home? Jesus H. Christ.
So, expensive and lame. read more
