Staff was very welcoming and the vibe of the store and the music put a smile on my face. Fetch is full of fun finds, KC merch, locally sourced product displays, and so much more. The back room is loaded up with some excellent thrift finds, even though the price point is reflective of the unique pieces moreso than just turning over resold 'stuff'. Throw in some cool home accents (I was so close to nabbing the martini olive throw rug) and some other kitschy gems and you have a great spot. Parking is west side street stuff, so you're on your own. The staff is super friendly and always making suggestions, and their playlists are phenomenal. Pricing is on par with the area and like shops, but give yourself a little treat now and then. But give that south wall a gaze, because their sandwich sign social voice is seriously top shelf. I don't care what side of the fence you land on, Fetch focuses their messages on kindness & humanity. Give me more, soooooo much more. And Gretchen was spot on, because it's so Fetch.

Books were SO much a part of our parenting I was transported to such deep memories. The attention to detail! The places to sit and read incorporated throughout! It was nice to have places for the kids to climb and explore. And there were also spaces to rest and be quiet. I like that each book was unique on display so it wasn't the same old thing over and over again. What I really loved was that they have multiple copies of each book represented in said section. So the ones we hadn't read and were interested in, we were able to discover like The Funny Thing and The Fire Cat. And ones we were aware if were fun to read while exploring like Goodnight Moon (my absolute favorite part), Babar, Frog and Toad, and No, David! The bus ride is a must; so creative and heart warming. We didn't purchase tickets for The Three Robbers experience, but peeking inside I wish we had, it looks great. The docents and volunteers were all knowledgeable of the books. And they were very kind when needing to remind kids of the museum rules. If I lived here I would by an annual membership for sure. And would have gladly paid more than the current $16 admission as I think this experience is worth much more.

This is their opening weekend and due to my having to drive there in the middle of the day, I was only able to pursue the latter. That's OK, because the latter was being offered in abundance AND what's more, it was all discounted due to opening weekend! Even a wine & spirits enthusiast like Yours, Truly, will take a good sale over a drink any day of the week. The store is sectioned according to each boutique (the store is a collective). Focus seems to be on indie designers. There is a wicked jean selection, and a variety of clothing styles to suit every taste, including my own, which I might add, is quite picky. I especially appreciated the super cute coat and jackets they have right now (to the right as you enter the store) and the studded purses and bunches of blingy costume jewelry and other accessories artfully strewn about the store. I should also add that the ambiance of the store lends itself very well to shopping, drinking and socializing. I LOVE the fashion plate murals on the wall and unique mannequins. Ceilings are super high and the vibe is that of an exclusive, trendy boutique, yet the staff are all extremely friendly. Prices are very reasonable. I couldn't help but think if this store, which has the vibe of a Soho boutique, actually had to exist in Soho, well, let's just say it wouldn't be possible to find an outfit that didn't set us back a paycheck or two (that's not to say I WOULDN'T be inspired to lose a paycheck here). Like I said, I didn't drink from the bar (oh, I was tempted!), but I am looking forward to going back when I have an escort, perhaps on an evening when there is an event going on (they are going to have DJ events according to the website). By the way, there are opening weekend drink specials tomorrow: complimentary mimosas and bloody marys! Alas, I have prior engagements. But I'll be back, Garment District.
