Where to begin, where to begin? Let's start with the Con's. To many to list them all but here is a…read morestart. - NOTHING gets fixed. I always hear the same excuse. "We'll create a work order for that." and thats it. I dont even know if a work order even gets made. - Very dirty apartments. When I moved in there was garbage littered all over the apartment, Q-tips, wrappers, beer bottle caps. The carpet had green and white stains, some are crusty. The cielings, walls, and fridge are yellow. Smells like propane in the house ven though the stove is off. Cigareete burns on the sink. The bracket that holds the bar of soap next to the sink had mold growing on it. the landlord told me to just remove it my self. - The walls are very thin. I can hear the neighbors like I was in the same room as them. that baby crying keeps me up all night. - The kids race up and down the apartment road like its a race blasting their stero systems. I kind of have to give it to them because you litterally have to zig zag because the pot holes don't get filled in. I didnt know living here required you to have a 4 wheel drive car. you'll know what i mean if you exit or enter the place next to the pet sence entrance. they stick cones in the holes rather then cement. Ive already ahd to repair 2 of my tires. - There is suppose to be a nice river going through the middle of the apartment complex.... to bad its filled with trash and grocery carts. - I have a really nice patio overlooking the courtyard. But when it rains it fills up like a swimming pool and I have stagnent water sitting their till it evaporates. Its a breeding ground for insects. - Careful walking around here at night. NO lights. A lot of the times I have to walk up and down the stairs using the light from my cellphone. and when my battery is dead or I dont have my phone on my person. I'm blind as a bat walking up these steps one at a time. - This place is a dump site for old furntiure. so If you have any furniture you want to get rid of. Throw it here. I'm not kidding you either. My bedroom window view is of a dumpster with a mountain of furniture next to it. It's been like that since I moved into this place. PROS: - Great closet space. Rent at your own risk!

Must agree with the observations shown in two other reviews. While it is always easy to fling…read morecriticisms about apartment living, sharing honest and reasonable criticisms are nonetheless, necessary in order to provide potential renters a better perspective. At one time, Timbers North Apartments provided a reasonably comfortable place to reside; however, that has steadily declined. Although Timbers North is indeed located in a great location as another reviewer mentioned, that's really about all the bragging rights that this complex offers. Short term renters might find this complex suitable, but if I were to submit an array of photos (showing water and grass left on un-edged sidewalks, areas of standing water after every rainfall, falling shingles, poor lighting, missing fence pieces, dislodged or leaning railroad ties and neglected/unsightly appearance issues), such photos would most certainly discourage serious long term renters from considering Timbers North Apartments. As another reviewer mentioned, there is a small creek pretty much in the center of the complex which overflows during extremely heavy rainfalls, where water floods the road in both directions (more so, on one side of the road, and I'm referring to 8 or more inches of water, which ultimately subsides in time). Several units in one building have been prone to flooding over the years. I seriously doubt that tenants of those lower units were ever informed of such prior to moving in. Of course, having renters insurance is prudent, no matter where you rent. Flat top roofs have been repaired numerous times but some upper level units still continue to show evidence of continued water leaks on ceilings. Flat roofs don't drain well and sometimes get clogged, allowing standing water on the roof to find its way into your upper level ceilings. Timbers North is easily recognized by its front faced shingling design, where many shingles continue to fall off and aren't replaced. A simple fix, but regularly neglected. Lighting in stairwells and carports has been out for years and one has to rely on lighting from other light sources or actually having to carry a lighted device with them. One would think that managers would insist upon tenants displaying only vertical type blinds (or respectable curtains) in their windows, for the sake of appearance, but clearly, tenants can hang virtually anything, from blankets, broken blinds, cardboard or whatever else. A photo here would speak for itself, if I could insert one. Window screens have been absent for years. The paneling under one porch (D building) is coming apart and requires repair and some sort of junction box in between buildings remains open and exposed (either electric or cable related). Just how do managers ignore these type things? Grass cutting is performed by an outside third party, who often leave huge deposits of excess grass on the lawn and on sidewalks which are rarely edged and remain un-swept .. some walking areas (and breeze ways) contain standing water due to lack of drainage only to breed mosquitoes, not to mention forcing you to take another way around. And of course, this complex is hardly an ideal setting for older tenants for all the obvious reasons. Some tenants have also gotten away with using barbecue grills on their porches or too close to their units .. not a good idea. The creek in the center of the complex has been neglected and overgrown with trees, weeds, etc. which constricts the huge amounts of water that flows through it during extremely heavy rainfalls, which contributes to quick (but temporary) road flooding. Renters insurance is almost a must have. Parking seems to be problematic at times, as another review pointed out .. some tend to park whereever they wish. In short, leases contain all the usual fine print, where for all intensive purposes, you pretty much hold the owner harmless. There is no snow removal during the winter season and only recently were some major road issues corrected (although it makes no sense why several extremely poor areas on the South side were ignored). The owner had the road painted recently, probably in an attempt to dress up and sell the property. And, as another reviewer mentioned, dumping old furniture around the complex has also become a regular, unsightly thing.
