    Tuff Shed Austin

    Tuff Shed Austin

We purchased a Tuff Shed in Austin because they are touted to be tough and reliable. I also used to…read morework for the Home Depot and pushed the Tuff Shed brand to customers as reliable. The cost was over $3500 for our small, simple shed. Over all the shed seems to hold up, but the hinges, which are touted to hold up to 500lbs each (and a bit too much to believe), are failing to keep the door from sagging. Another small item that was never installed and I am seeing on other Tuff Sheds is the drip edge above the door. I actually will add my own, but I see that Tuff Shed does install it, but it was never done on our shed. I called Tuff Shed and spoke to customer service about the door sagging and hanging up at the threshold, but I never got a call back. This sagging door was an issue after we had the shed installed, and they did come out to adjust, but not this time. The bottom hinge has come loose due to the door sticking and one of the stainless steel screws(?) I pulled was broken and rusted. Now I have to reset the entire door and square it off, and I am considering using heavy duty T Hinges instead. They seem stronger. As for Tuff Shed, I would look at other sheds, or build your own better.

Worked with Anthoni, purchased the shed on 7/20 and it was built on 7/25. John, one of the…read morebuilders, let me know he was in route and approximate time of arrival. Overall, the communication was excellent. As a person with some experience related to building, they were detailed and knew what they were doing. The 8x10 shed looks fantastic and exceeded my expectations. Would highly recommend.

David and I started our companies at the same time and have "grown up" together. They truly go above and beyond. Thank you David for always having my back and making me look good to my clients!! I cannot tell you how much I appreciate you and your team!

Wish our project had come out better. The hole they drilled for the soap pump is cracking. It…read morestarted in the back. They came out to repair it, but the crack is just continuing to grow and it's now in front of the pump traveling toward the edge of the sink. I'm a little depressed thinking about what's going to happen when the two pieces finally separate completely. No way can I sell my home now without someone asking for a credit for a new countertop. The areas where two pieces of granite meet were not put together very cleanly so you can not only see but feel the seam very clearly. Lastly, the granite was not sealed so it immediately began to stain with water. They sent someone to remove the stain, but instead of removing the stain the worker put sealer on the counter without cleaning it and now the water stains are sealed in. This was beautiful granite. It looks awful now. Between the seam, the cracks and the staining you would never know this counter is brand new and less than a year old. The only thing that could resolve this issue for me would be for them to replace the pieces of granite they did a poor job with. We had asked our builder several times to please have them resolve these issues. They came once and made a shoddy attempt at fixing the crack around the soap pump and sealed in the water stains, but after that were never seen or heard from again despite the worker telling me they'd be back to try something different with the cracks, seam, stains. If they materialize and fix my countertop I would gladly update my review, but as of right now I would not recommend using this installer. The warranty apparently was just a talking point so go elsewhere.
