After making the deal the job was to start on 10/15/2020 and he was able to finally start it on the 21st. The workmanship was fair with a few short cuts that shouldn't have been taken. Deck should of been centered on rear door and it wasn't, the step was improperly built will need to be rebuilt and the walk thru should be 36"wide and isn't. We requested quotes from 2companies. JC (SHR owner) had his quote completed and sent to me within 48hrs. I tried waiting for the other company to return their quote to compare, but after 2weeks, I simply couldn't wait any longer...and am so thankful we didn't. JC was extremely transparent throughout the entire process, from the in-home estimate to the post-project review. During the in-home estimate, he laid out the project as a whole and each sequential step within the project to better help us with expectation management. The fact that he did this shows he understands, and has, a concern for his clients/customers being informed & satisfied and how to avoid any possible miscommunications. His ability to anticipate client's inevitable irritation at losing their "space" drives his commitment to transparency and ensuring his clients that he is moving as fast as he can given the unavoidable logistical factors/concerns. After each day he would he would explain what happened that day and what was coming up for the next day. Anything that would be further out than the next day, he inform us of that date as well. When his employees completed their task(s), he would swing by again to ensure quality work was done and would have his assistant record any & all "touch ups" for them to complete the next day to ensure quality work and his employees always followed through. Ray and Rachel (employees) were always on time and had the greatest attitudes, not to mention their skills were top shelf. He used a sub for tile installment named Brandon and that dude was the most professional "tile guy" I've ever encountered. He LOVES his job and will tell you about it too! Lol! Knowing that the people working on your home love what they do and are very good at it, means the homeowner(s) can rest easy knowing they're getting quality work. It's also a reflection of JC and his high business acumen, showcasing his ability to create and sustain great business relationships with other skilled tradesmen/tradeswomen in his field. No one ever abused our house or our time or were short with us...they were people I would actively conversate with if I saw them out in public. Like a previous client/customer reported, everyone from SHR became a form of "extended family". We will absolutely be looking to hire them again in the future.
