I must agree with that person's statement. I received a call from an agent Bernard in which I believed was helping me find affordable insurance. I was completely taken advantage of, first he lied about no other family members being added to my policy and it was. Then he offered me a deal with my Vivint supplier to add services that he quoted me incorrect prices for which led me to have a $2,000+ bill. He choose Progressive Insurance for me (which I already had), however he had a lower rate. Within a month, Progressive added two of my adult off spring to my policy because their mail comes to my home. I immediately contacted them to remove them. They advised me that I must sign and return a exclusion document in which I did. A month later they say they mailed me a document to have them remove with a deadline that I did not meet because I did not receive the document. At that time they increased my monthly payment from $182 to $747 for one months payment and threaten to cancel me if I didn't pay it. This to me is called bait and switch and definitely not good business practices. When Goosehead intervened, Progressive told myself and them they have the right to use sources that will allow them to add anyone that uses my address to my policy. This is evil practices, and the Federal Trade Commission and BBB should stop these practices. After speaking with other people that have Progressive insurance, they have stated this is one of things that this insurance company has done and gotten away with for years. This is a travesty, don't deal with these people and/or company.

I was able to get those knocked off the contract when I refused to sign it until they were removed. That was nothing compared to what was to come. When I added home security, I sent in the proof for it to be added to my homeowners insurance policy for the discount. The agent made a mistake and created a new policy for me with Travelers. He never acknowledged it. I sent numerous emails asking for it to be removed because I kept getting alerts that payment was due. They finally went to delete that policy and in doing so, THEY CANCELED MY HOMEOWNERS INSURANCE POLICY. The policy that was fully paid by my mortgage when it began. With zero acknowledgement or notice. I got a check in the mail from Travelers for a large sum of money so I questioned it, logged into my account, and found out that my policy was canceled a week prior. It took numerous phone calls and emails to reach an agent. They said that they would reinstate it the policy. They didn't answer any of my questions about how it would affect my mortgage, never apologized, and never sent confirmations. I called and emailed them for days to make sure it was done properly and got very few email responses that did not answer majority of my questions. I had to get my mortgage lender involved to ensure that their issue did not affect my mortgage. Extreme hassle. How does an insurance broker cancel your homeowners insurance and not tell you or care? I was told I cannot switch until the year is up so the second it comes time to renew my policy I will be running as far away from Goosehead as possible. Note: I am posting this review on everything related to Goosehead Insurance to warn innocents to stay away. I do not know if the agents I worked with are related to this specific location.
