Clean and has Star Trek Literature. Quiet and not many vagrants unlike the main library in San Francisco. And its huge. Diverse in its offerings. And lastly they can order from the region that it belongs too. This library rocks!! read more

Anyone with half a brain heads East to University Of Illinois in Champaign / Urbana, and those who know someone head West to get a comfy State job in Springfield... Science is beyond weak, the University's focus is on "Liberal Arts", dance, music, and theater. Beware of hidden charges on your tuition bill, I caught a "Athletic Facilities" charge, and when I refused to pay it, they banned me from the gym. Soon everyone was refusing the charge... Trouble ensued when I was watching a basketball game, and got caught by Dean of Students, who dismissed me from the College without a Student Court appearance. I had a paid admission ticket to the game. Word got out, and I was invited to speak at Student Court. Showed my game ticket, and asked for my tuition for the semester back rather than readmission. The check arrived a year later....

Review Visit: May 12th, 2015…read more "You can't handle the truth!" Here's the truth. My friend and I always saw the sign for the Mt. Pulaski Courthouse whenever we would drive down to Springfield or St. Louis to go exploring. It just happened on this day, we decided to make the small detour to check it out. Not too surprisingly that when we arrived late in the afternoon, the courthouse was closed for the day. All we got to do was enjoy the beautiful weather while checking out the grounds around the courthouse and looking at the courthouse itself. It was fun to roam the grounds and see the relics they had out for display/viewing. Check out the links below to have a history lesson on the courthouse and area itself. Maybe one day I will get to go back and see the inside instead of peeking through the windows from afar.
