I took off one star because of the service this morning. HOWEVER…read more. I popped in last night to pick up a gift for a friend. There was NO one in store, I was the only one perusing things. I found exactly what I was looking for, and decided to go ahead and take the plunge. The girl I was working with was fabulous. She assured me that it would be done by 10 am. It was, and I was thrilled with both HER and the product. But when I went to go pick it up, the MANAGER, a Gentleman named Anthony (I believe, I know his name started with A.) was on the cell phone. He did not make eye contact with me, and he did not get off the phone. It was only after about 6 minutes of me standing there, that he finally mouthed to me "What name?" And I told him, he reached into the holding area and pulled out my package. He showed it to me with NO ceremony --- ALL THE WHILE STILL ON THE PHONE. When I said it was good, he took off the slip and handed to me. That was it. All in all I liked the way things went the night before, but this guy.. I don't care if it was a business call or a personal call, Customers IN PERSON come first.

This store deserves zero stars. A woman named Janice who later identified herself as a manager was…read moreextremely rude and unprofessional. I have never had an experience like this at a store ever. Unbeknownst to me when we walked in she actually rolled her eyes at my mother (who had just lost her husband of 42 years by the way) and said, "ugh!" Had I'd know this I would have told her that we were leaving. When we approach led the counter she told us that she was really busy working on an order. We offered to take a walk around the mall and come back but she either declined or refused to answer. We reassured her that we understood she was busy and would just wait. We noticed a book on the counter with the very product we were there for--plates that can be attached to a plaque, or in our case, my fathers urn. She snapped at us that no, we could not look through the book because she was using it to train herself. No problem. We said take your time and we'll wait. Again, reassuring her. We waited about 25 minutes before she addressed us again and told us exasperatedly that she was too busy, one of her machines was broken, and that we were wrong to expect any customer service from her before closing--we arrived more than two hours before closing. Why didn't she just tell us when we first arrived that she could not help us? Instead of waiting we would have just left. Nevertheless, we again tried to be compassionate to her because she was extremely stressed out and we felt sympathetic. So I asked if there was a way that we could order online, she said no, that this store is in transition, that the option to order from this store online has been turned off. She then digressed into a rant about how disorganized her branch was and said that they don't even have 60 of the products advertised. Not very professional to tell us all of that not to mention, we're just customers so we don't need to know that. I finally interject her rant to tell her that we were there to purchase an engraved plate for my father's urn and that I felt we were trying very hard to accommodate her even though we were the customers. When we tried to leave and said we would just go to a different branch (located more than an hour away) she suddenly started trying to take our order. At one point she even mentioned something about not wanting a complaint against her. She scolded us for not communicating better with her trying to make her lousy behavior our fault. She said that she is just a person who "tells it like it is"--not really sure why she even said all of that, and besides, if that were true she would have told us to just leave in the first place. She called the other branch and we spoke to a woman there who took down our order. It is worth noting that she spoke very kindly and politely to the person at the other store so she is certainly aware of how to speak to people in a polite and respectful way. She never offered condolences for my mother's loss either. She eventually and begrudgingly said she was sorry. Everything was an inconvenience for her including basic human decency. Despite our awful experience, at least it wasn't a total waste of time bc we did eventually get our order in. This is the worst customer service experience I have ever had. For a place called things remembered I can guarantee that if you shop at this store you will certainly remember as the treatment I personally experienced I will not soon forget.
