This is the ultimate Greasy Spoon cafe, but without the grease.
They do almost any type of breakfast or lunch you can imagine ordinary shoppers wanting. Egg, sausage, mushroom, bacon, tomato, fried bread.....in any combination.
One of the guys I took there tried the Hungry Man's Breakfast at £5. He is a serious trencherman, but left three slices of toast, two of the sausages and most of the tomatoes. He then missed out his midday and evening meals!
As you can see, the prices are unbelievable. Toasted bacon butty with a mug of tea works out at around £2.
The shop itself is very clean and well-kept and you can see the entire cooking area, which is also of a high standard.
Definitely the best breakfasts in St Helens. read more
