They also sell those little luxuries you don't see in a supermarket (cartmel sticky toffee pudding) and lots more. We went strawberry picking one fine saturday to Kenyon Hall Farm. The farm is not too far from J22…read moreof the M6 and has a decent sized car park. The only way into the picking area is through the farm shop and cafe. You queue up, choose a picking basket and follow the teddy bear to get to the strawberry fields. Spend as much time as you like, pick as many strawberries as your basket can hold and then return to the farm shop and pay for the day's haul. The farm shop also sells locally sourced meats, sausages, vegetables, preserves, jams etc. They also have a cafe selling hot and cold food and drinks, which are reasonably priced. In addition to picking your own, you also have the option to buy potted plants and bring them home. I think we got some basil, mint and chilli. I thoroughly enjoyed the strawberry picking experience, which was enhanced by a sunny day. I would definitely recommend this place, especially if you have little kids that need to be entertained on a fine summer's day.

I had a pot of tea and a bottle of water which totalled £2.75 and then followed that with a flat white for £1.75.
